Holy Right : A Multiverse Occultist

Ch-74: God– The Role Model of Modern Society

"King, please don't listen to the deceitful words of this Heretic God!"

All of a sudden, Erica suddenly winded up at Roy's side. She held the long sword with a solemn expression, firmly tightening the hilt in an attacking stance, her awe-inspiring gaze pierced at King Solomon.

Even knowing that he is a Heretic God, she held no fear. After being pierced by Roy's 'injection' imbued with the power of <Miraculous Spring of Life>, her temperament was filled with a mature dreamy vigour.

"King, this god is the 'wise' King Solomon, he must be a person who is good at deceptive talks. Authorities are manifested based on the myths relating to them, and so his power has always been depicted as 'wisdom', not 'force'. He must not have the confidence to defeat King, so he wants to delay and find the tactics to defeat you, my king."

"King, your faithful knight, Erica Brandelli beseechs to you. Please slay this trash talking 'wise' deceiver here, and don't give him the opportunity to use his greatest weapon!"

Erica knelt down on one knee and hollered loudly in her crisp tone with her hand on her chest.

"N-No, this girl knight. I didn't lie, really, I-l didn't lie, please believe me."

King Solomon hastily waved his hands to deny the charges, he was a little flustered, he trudged forward, with the intention to approach Erica and explain his innocence.

—Beng! Whoosh!

Erica snapped back and winded back with a hurried disordered jump, leaving behind a frightened Solomon who was stunned at her sudden reaction.

Erica hid behind Roy with trepidation, avoiding the Wise King as if he was some kind of junk.

She grinded her teeths in resentment, her fair cheeks were slightly dyed in crimson, her eyes wrathfully stared at King Solomon in indignation.

"King, in the records, King Solomon is not only known for his God-given wisdom but also for his colossal harem. King Solomon had hundreds of wives and hundreds of concubines. His harem consisted of approximately 700 wives and 300 concubines not including the female servants."

"The most often mentioned wife of Solomon is the daughter of an Egyptian pharaoh. However, the insatiable King Solomon loved many more besides Pharaoh's daughter. In the name of cementing alliances with the other neighboring Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Zidonian, and Hittite monarchs, he marryed to their eligible young women."

"Moreover, Princess Alice said in the spirit of her words before. He is good at magic. He must have deceived countless girls with his magic, so that those women fell in love with him."

"The purity of Erica only belong to the king, Erica hopes that king will call the shots for me. Please don't let your knight be defiled by this deceiving and lecherous King."

As King Solomon received Erica's non-stop accusations, his expression turned stiff. He immediately woke up from his stupor and murmured incorhently:

"T, Thousand womens?! N-no, that's nat me, that's not me, Solomon is just acting according to the Lord's revelation, h-he is just doing what 'Solomon' should do. He is a de, device that pilots his life towards the attainment of definite objectives set by the L-Lord! B, believe m-me, that's definitely not me!"

"Huff! King Solomon still doesn't dare to admit of his misdeeds, and even blames these sins on the Lord. So how does King Solomon explains his decielt on Queen of Sheba?"

"In the Old Testament, it is clearly stated that when the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon's court after hearing about his wisdom, she stayed and learned from him for six months. On the last night of her visit, King Solomon, you tricked her into your bed, and she became pregnant."

"Even when she was leaving, you just let her leave ordering that if a son was born she will have to send him to you. This is through and through a irresponsible and lecherous man!"

Erica huffed in anger, her eyes centered on Solomon as if she was looking at a inhuman libidinous beast.

"Not ony that, King Solomon was heartly extravagant and distrustful in his later years. He married outsiders even though the Lord had commanded the Israelites not to intermarry with non-Hebrews."

"King Solomon even served many other gods instead of serving Yahweh like his father, King David, so as to provoke the Lord's wrath. He can even betray the God he worshipped, let alone another human. King, I plead, please think twice."

Every accusations from Erica seem to pierce through Solomon's heart like an arrow, causing the flustered king of wisdom to stumble with each step as he continued to face critical damage.

The irresistible expression on his face made Roy cerebrate. If Erica continues to speak, would King Solomon kill himself in shame?

Moreover, Solomon was left helpless, unable to refute, because these events were the truth.

Roy felt a little sympathy for this king, he was indeed a device with no emotions, so everything he did was indeed not what he intended, but just what 'Solomon' had to do.

After all, the doctrine of the Religion of Cross clearly emphasizes that if one can defeat God, it must be because God wills so; if one can betray God, it must be because God wills so; if there are demons in this world, it must be because God wills so.

The Lord is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. He is Almighty.

So Solomon's life is what God set for him.

Roy raised his hand to stop Erica from continuing to 'assassinate' King Solomon and said:

"I deeply feel your sincerity and worry in your heart... I am very happy about that, Erica. My heart is full of joy, but Erica, you don't have to say more, everything is my heart. Furthermore, I know what decision I'm taking."

"King—"

Erica wanted to say something, but she sighed as she felt Roy's unwavering determination.

"I understand, my King."

After once again glaring back at Solomon, Erica stepped back and faithfully stood behind Roy; like a loyal knight, she as his subordinate has the duty to advise her King but she should not and could not clamor against his decision.

"King Solomon, if you want to live as a human, I can promise you but there is one question I need to ask first. Do you still have the Wisdom of God?"

Roy asked with a searching gaze.

Solomon finally recovered at this time. He nodded and said, "Al, although I now have human consciousness. But I haven't abandoned the 'Wisdom of God'. It's just that I don't want to use it. Humans should look like humans, not embroidered with attributes of God."

"I see... Then if you are willing to use the 'Wisdom of God' to do me a favor, I will agree to your request. Let you live for seven days as a human being."

"Y, yo-you believe me?"

Solomon asked incredulously with obvious joy on his face.

"Of course, there must be a common bridge of trust between human. Since you are now a human, I should have expectations and trust in you."

He reached out his hand and introduced himself:

"Roy, Roy Mrkl Crowley, my name. Then I would like to ask for your advice in the coming days, King Solomon."

Looking at Roy's outstretched hand, King Solomon hurriedly stretched out both of his hands and held it tightly:

"Yes, is it a handshake, etiquette? I should have done nothing wrong, right?"

His expression was a little nervous, but his eyes we're filled with joy and curiousity.

He was moved on being trusted by others as a "human". He was moved by himself as a "human" to communicate with others.

He is no longer the "Wise King Solomon" who does not have seven emotions and six desires and lives as a machine, but has become a human with self-owned will.

He will laugh when he feels happy, he will cry when he feels sad, he can freely express his emotions. It felt... unnaturally fulfilling to be a human.

"Mr. Roy, although I don't want to use the 'Wisdom of God' but in order to repay your trust.. No matter what troubles you face, please come to me."

King Solomon said sincerely.

* * *

"Why, why did I promised you, and why should I work?!"

King Solomon's throes echoed from the hotel room in Jerusalem.

"King Solomon. As a symbol of wisdom and uprightness, don't go back on your words. Since you have promised me, you must fulfill them."

In the luxurious hotel room, Roy leaned lazily on the soft sofa, holding a cup of cola in his hand, drinking with a straw in his mouth. He looked like an evil capitalist juicing every ounce of work from his subordinates.

There were many materials on the huge wooden table in the center of the room, where King Solomon was using 'God's Wisdom' to draw complex ritual graphics and occult languages on the magical paper, mournfully.

"Aren't you also commemorated as the King of Magecraft, King Solomon? I just asked for what you expertised in. It should be easy for you~"

Roy spoke in a laid-back tone, fully nestling himself on the sofa.

"No, no, no. I just said it casually. B-besides, the magic that you made me complete is really too difficult. Even I can't do it. It has basically reaching the realm of true magic."

King Solomon whose head was buried in the piles of documents screamed out in a childish bawl.

"Come on, His Majesty, King Solomon, the deal has been make with terms and conditions agreed."

Roy responded insensitively and took out another can of coke from his space ring.

"So, so, haash. Ok, ok, I will do it, jeez.... uhm... Wait, wait, ha I found it, the working hours show be from 9 to 5, right? So why is mine from 9 to 9, huh?"

King Solomon questioned in dissatisfaction.

"Didn't you want to feel and live like a human? But that's how humans live now, it's a laboring society, and human beings can't get something for nothing. Nothing here is free. Now you eat and drink on my money. I've also been covering your housing and entertainment cost, where could you find such a whole-hearted, devoted boss who cares about his employees...? What else can you complain about?"

Roy retorted in his defense while flinging the empty can into the dustbin.

"Don't lie to me, Roy, you let me work from nine in the morning to nine in the night and even so for six days... This is illegal, right? I already know about the modern world. Real work should be from 9 to 5 coupled with weekends."

"Come on Solomon, even the 'Bible Genesis' says that at the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God used the first six days to create the various elements that make up all things. He finally rested on the seventh day. You see, even the Lord had to work for six days and only rested on the last day."

"God is the role model for all the workers, He worked 24 hours a day and only then took a weekend. You still have complaints? Solomon, have you really betrayed your faith, as Erica said, forsaken the Lord we serve together?"

Roy sat uprightly and reverently drew a cross sign on his chest.

"My belief is not the same as yours—"

King Solomon wanted to argue that he believed in Judaism, while Roy was the embodiment of an Archangel of the Religion of Cross.

"But our Lord is the same."

"Eto..."

Roy's words left King Solomon speechless.

"Okay, work hard... On the seventh day, when it's your day of rest, I will accompany you for a tour of Jerusalem, I will buy whatever you desire. Even though, this is not the country you once ruled, or even the world you live in, but they are similar, aren't they?"

Roy reluctantly got up from his comfort and walked over to Solomon's side and lightly patted on his shoulders.

That soft tone also moved King Solomon's heart and faintly excited for the economic freedom shopping.

"Besides for a man who can take on thousands of woman without being juiced dry must have stupendous level of stamina."

It's just that Roy's next words made his already tanned face even darker.
