Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

They continued their meal until students began to return to their dormitory.

"Excuse me…" Snape was leaving the place when he heard someone call him and looked towards a girl watching him with some shyness.

This was Lucinda Burke (OC), a student who had spoken to him yesterday in the transfiguration class.

"Yes?" Snape asked.

"I heard your conversation... that you don't know the password…" She said, looking at him.

"You know it?" Snape asked, as he would not deny the house password and avoid having to destroy the place for the third time.

"Yes, it is: always, always, pure blood…" She spoke.

"That's the password, what narcissistic prejudiced nonsense, who was the purist jerk who came up with such a thing?" Snape asked the girl who was surprised by this, as were all those who heard, looking at him shocked.

Snape just shook his head and turned his feet towards the exit, calmly heading outside while some monitors coordinated them to return to their house halls.

As he approached the door with some students already entering, and him not needing to say that stupid phrase, someone approached him.

Lucius, who had followed him from then, finally caught up to him before even reaching the common room, with many people watching them as they passed through the corridors.

"Snape…" Lucius spoke with a tone of frustration, due to how Snape had dismissed him yesterday.

"What is it?" Snape commented, not caring to be polite. Despite this boy having helped a few times in the past, he just wanted to benefit from it.

"I want to talk to you and it needs to be alone," he said, after all, the matter was delicate when it involved the Dark Lord. Snape listened to him, looking into Lucius's eyes and sighed, realizing that he would have to have this conversation anyway.

"Alright," he said while Lucius nodded.

He then followed towards a corridor on another path, while Lucius approached a monitor. The monitor looked at the two, but Lucius just stared at him, making the monitor clear the way.

"It's clear, Lucius." He said as Lucius nodded and went ahead entering a dead-end corridor while the monitor seemed to be guarding the place.

'Interesting... it's a completely isolated place...' Snape could not help commenting as he saw no paintings on the walls, showing how isolated this place was.

They reached the end, and yet Lucius took out his wand and began making a movement, isolating the area from sound so no one could hear, just to be cautious.

"Well, Snape, it seems we're finally going to talk," Lucius commented. Snape remained silent.

"I've never heard you behave like this, Snape. I know you've changed physically due to a type of potion, but your personality is very different from what I knew," he spoke calmly.

"People always change," Snape just shrugged.

Despite Lucius not liking that answer, he continued. "Anyway," Lucius went on, "I want to talk about our agreement. Will you give me an answer? After all, the Dark Lord would want someone like you," he spoke. Lucius heard his father's request to bring Snape to the Death Eaters, Lucius even managed to speak with Snape before the boy took his life, but he still hadn't given an answer, saying he would think about it.

"I thought about it, and my answer is no." This was Snape's answer, leaving Lucius looking a bit surprised.

"No?" Lucius asked.

"I'm not joining your little club, Lucius." Snape gave his answer, leaving Lucius a bit surprised with those words.

"Little club? You think we are a little club?" Lucius repeated, his voice a mix of incredulity and anger at the boy in front of him.

"Do you really want to know what I think?" Snape said challengingly and Lucius, frustrated with this, raised his voice.

"Snape, I've always helped you because I've always seen potential in you. I even thought for a moment that you had been in touch with the Dark Lord before seeing him or someone invited you, but that doesn't seem to be the case. You still mock after all I've done for you." He said to the boy, who seemed oblivious to what was happening here.

"It was a half and half contract, Lucius. As far as I know, I always helped you with Potions. I don't think I owe you anything now and I don't intend to have your help anymore." Snape spoke calmly.

"I think you're not understanding, Snape!" Lucius almost shouted, making even the monitor look at him surprised that even within the silence spell, he could see the expression of anger on Malfoy's face.

"You can't simply refuse, especially now. Do you think you will survive in Slytherin? You landed one of the great houses in the infirmary. I know you did something to Potter and the others, which was good for laughs when we found out, but it doesn't justify you landing him in the infirmary. The Rosier family won't forgive. I can still protect you, Snape." He said, restraining himself from hitting the boy with his wand.

'Man, how odd,' Snape didn't seem to care about Lucius's state of anger, while he thought about how ironic this situation was... "First your fiancée comes to talk to me hoping that I don't join the Death Eaters, now your fiancé wants me to join, go figure..." He debated this internally.

Snape looked at him and repeated his answer. "My answer is no," Snape said calmly.

"Are you sure?" Lucius asked again, wanting to know if he really would do such a thing.

"Yes, I don't care about your favors anymore and I'm also not afraid of the Rosier family," Snape commented.

"No, you're not understanding, Snape. You don't know the situation you're in," Lucius still insisted, not believing what he was hearing.

"I already said no," Snape countered again.

"Do you think you will survive?" Lucius said now with more anger. "When you are in the gutter, don't come asking me for help, Snape. When you regret and lament, remember this day, this opportunity I gave you. Snape, you should be grateful since you are only a half-blood." Lucius usually didn't act like this, but he was so angry he couldn't help but offend him.

He knew Snape was dangerous, but he was at a safe distance from the boy and with his wand in his hands while Snape kept his inside his cloak. He could simply cast a spell if the boy tried to do the same thing he did to Adrian Rosier from what he heard.

"You know... Lucius..." Snape began after hearing that, while his eyes closed.

Lucius saw this and tightened his grip on his wand feeling that something would happen soon. Snape kept his eyes closed for a while, and 2 seconds later he began to open them, while Lucius was a little surprised by the blue light they emitted at this moment like two sapphires, but what was more surprising for Malfoy was the alarming feeling of danger they emitted.

Snape looked at him like prey at that moment. "You don't understand, Lucius, but let me make you understand," Snape spoke and with a movement that made his hand seem a blur, he reached into his cloak and drew his wand.

"!" Lucius was surprised by this and quickly prepared to cast one of the three unforgivable curses, "Cruciatus" His wand glowed with a green tip as he cast the spell against Snape.

Snape saw the beam coming his way while his mind was quickly working on all the possibilities to escape it, he couldn't counter such a spell with his current arsenal, so he would have to act differently.

The beam flew quickly down the corridor, but it didn't hit its target as it struck the wall at the end of the corridor. After all, Snape simply used his body and speed to dodge the attack. Lucius could only see him a few meters from the location as he spun his body.

Snape, turning around while pointing his wand at Lucius, cast a stunning spell, which he couldn't react to as he felt his body being thrown against the corridor wall with a stunned sound.

The monitor who was guarding the corridor so no one would interrupt the conversation, since Lucius requested this, quickly approached with his wand when he saw the fight start, while casting a Cruciatus spell too. Snape turned to him while Lucius was still falling to the ground, Snape jumped with a quick movement, performing a somersault in the air.

While the monitor was a bit stunned by this and, even in the air, before the boy could react, Snape cast the levitation spell he had learned today, making the boy fly with 'Wingardium Leviosa' and when Lucius landed on the ground with the boy in the air.

"HM?!" He barely had time to act when Lucius moved his wand and cast 'Descendo'!

The boy fell to the ground, feeling his breath fail as he lay stunned trying to breathe from the impact.

Lucius, watching this, tried to get up with difficulty. He tried to reach his wand in the corner, but before he could grab it, it flew towards Snape, who caught it with his free hand.

"You think it's that simple?" Snape mocked and pulled a shocked Lucius, before he could do anything, and threw him against the wall, leaving him there and caught the other breathless student with his wand flying into the hand that already held Lucius's and levitated him, pinning him on the wall next to Lucius.

Both older Slytherin students realized their situation as Snape continued to hold them there with his wand pointed. They looked at Snape with some apprehension at this moment.

"I see I've caught 2 rats," he commented with a small smile.

"Snape, you better get us out of here now!" Lucius growled with some difficulty.

"Let me tell you something, Lucius, I am someone you cannot control, not even you, your family, or your Dark Lord. I don't care about Voldemort and your little dog club. You have to understand that if you really want to deal with me, be prepared, because I will act accordingly." Snape spoke, leaving Lucius a bit surprised as Snape said the name of the Dark Lord so casually.

However, he did not stay surprised for long as he tried to escape along with his monitor colleague, Snape ended up swinging his wand and made them fly upwards, hitting the ceiling and then falling to the ground, making both lose consciousness the next moment with 'Descendo'.

'It's a quite useful spell...' Lucius commented, he didn't have a very high success rate compared to the spells these two could do, after all he didn't even know how to use the Unforgivables, but he knew how to use his creativity with basic spells.

He looked at them lying on the ground and simply moved his hand with the wands and tossed them as they hit the ground, falling near their unconscious bodies. He shrugged and decided to return to Slytherin.

"Always, always, pure blood," He said and the door began to open.

'I should have broken the door instead of saying such a thing, it's quite embarrassing...' Snape commented internally and began to enter the house.

Some people had seen him leaving with Lucius, including Narcissa who was alone this time, without her sisters. Snape entered calmly, not caring about anyone, while people looked confused, without Lucius at his side or entering right after him. He shrugged and headed to his room to rest, without giving explanations to anyone.
