I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!

Inside the room, Lin performs the summoning spell, which isn't as complicated as Ash thinks. She has improved and streamlined the spell several times already. In fact, the hardest part of the spell is the high mana requirement, which is easy enough for Lin.

At this point, the spell is easy enough to use that any group of mages could cast it. Ash would certainly not have a problem casting it and he could probably improve it more. That is probably why the goddesses are so worried about the spell being learnt by Ash.

Lin casts the spell and then she has to wait, the spell takes a while to form. It has to slowly build and stabilize a tunnel between the two dimensions. However, Lin isn't bored, watching the tunnel form is absolutely fascinating.

As the tunnel connects the dimensions, Lin can even see what the dimensions are made of. She quickly puts on the glasses that Ash made and takes a closer look. What she sees leaves her speechless, the mana is beyond anything she has imagined.

Lin feels kind of bad that Ash can't be here to see this for himself, but a promise is a promise. Maybe there will be another chance for Ash to see this, but it would probably give him bad ideas. The tunnel finally completes and then with a flash it disappears leaving a human woman in its place.

Lin is surprised when she sees the woman, she hasn't seen anyone like her before. The woman has short, purple, spikey hair and every inch of skin, other than her face, is covered in tattoos. The only tattoo on her face, is a purple rose in bloom on her right cheek.

Lin says "Hello. Please remain calm, you are safe. You have been summoned to another world, but I can send you back so there is no need to panic. Take a few deep breaths and once you are ready, tell me your name."

??? says "Who are you?! Where am I?!"

Lin says "My name is Lin. You are currently in my library on what you would call a fantasy world. To use a phrase you can understand, you have been isekai."

??? says "Really?! This isn't some elaborate joke, is it??"

Lin says "Yes, really. This is really happening. You are in another world. Now, can you tell me your name?"

??? says "Oh, right. My name is Bella."

Lin says "It is nice to meet you Bella. Tell me, are you a tattoo artist?"

Bella says "Yes, I am. How did you know that?!"

Lin says "It is the reason that I summoned you."

Bella says "Wait, you summoned me to another world to give you tattoos?! How do you even know about tattoos?"

Lin says "I summoned you for tattoos, yes. I know about them from my partner, Ash. He has designed magical tattoos, but doesn't have the skill needed to do them. He is waiting to meet you, but there is something you need to know first."

Bella says "Then how does he know about tattoos? What is it that I need to know?"

Lin says "He knows about them because he is also from your world. Tell me, are you familiar with Beauty and the Beast?"

Bella says "He is from my world?! How did he get here? Animated or live action?"

Lin says "Yes, he is. He was summoned as well, but not by me. Either, you just need to know what the Beast looks like."

Bella says "Yes, I know what the Beast looks like. Why?"

Lin says "Because Ash looks kind of like that. He didn't want to scare you by being in the room when you were summoned."

Bella says "Didn't you say he was from my world?! People don't look like that on my world!!"

Lin says "He is from your world. However, his summoning wasn't exactly like yours. It is better if he explains it. Are you ready to meet him?"

Bella says "No, not really, but you may as well invite him in."

Lin walks over to open the door and I walk in slowly so as not to frighten the girl. I stop about ten feet away and crouch down so that I don't tower over her. Not that it seems to be helping, the girl looks terrified as she stares at me.

Lin says "Bella, this is Ash, my partner and the man who was summoned from your world."

"Hello, Bella. It is nice to meet you. I am sorry for summoning you against your will. I just need your help for a little while and then we will send you home. I will make it worth your while."

Bella says "Are you really from my world?"

"Yes, I am."

Bella says "So, you just want me to do a few tattoos?"

"Yes, that and teach someone here to do tattoos. Then I will send you home."

Bella says "Do I have to go back? It doesn't really matter if I die here or in our world."

"Why would you die? I am not going to hurt you."

Bella says "I was already dying when you summoned me. I have brain cancer and the doctors said I only have about a month left. If I have a choice, I think I would rather spend what time I have left here."

"What would you choose to do if you didn't have to worry about dying?"

Bella says "What's the point of even thinking about something impossible like that?"

"This is another world. A world with magic. Very little is actually impossible here. I can cure your cancer fairly easily."

Bella says "Really?! You better not be lying to me!"

"No lies, I can heal you. Here, take my hand."

Bella looks nervous and hopeful at the same time as she slowly walks over to me. She places her hand on my paw and I scan her body with my mana. She does have cancer in her brain, along with some scarring, it looks like she has had surgery previously.

From the state of the rest of her body, I am surprised that she looks so healthy. However, when I take a closer look I realize that she has applied makeup to hide it. From the looks of it, she is probably in constant pain, something I can relate to.

"Ugh, you are in a lot worse shape than you look. Alright, I am going to start fixing you, this may feel uncomfortable."

Bella doesn't respond, other than giving me a nod and gritting her teeth. First, I deal with the cancer and I make sure to get every single spec of it. Second, I start fixing all the damage that has been done to her by the cancer and its treatments.

"Alright, that is as much as your body can handle for now. You were already weak and this will have used a lot of your energy. However, the cancer is completely gone. I can do more once you have rested and recovered some energy."

Bella says "My headache is actually gone! Thank you! I'm not in pain, this feels amazing! Even if you can't do anything more, this is plenty! I'm not going to die!"
