I Reincarnated into a Game Filled with Mods

Chapter 378

Afterstory: Planetary Gacha Plan – 4

To get straight to the point, the grand prize went to Segretus, who created a world so finely crafted that even Eclipse nodded in approval of its completeness while staying true to the concept of ‘raising.’

“Well done, my daughter.”

“Isn’t it obvious, Mom? Whose daughter am I?”

Minerva was extremely proud that her daughter secured the first place, and Segretus was brimming with spirit.

Eileen, who always stuck with Segretus whether by choice or by force, was about to grumble something when Kaikilia stopped her with a glare. The mothers were celebrating in a very ordinary way, regardless of the daughters.

In fact, it was quite clever of Segretus.

Had she gone earlier in the order, she could have talked to me sooner and embraced me quicker. But being last allowed her to see how the front-ranking participants fared and tweak her own world to fit my preferences.

There was fierce competition over who would place later in the order, resulting in Eileen, Luce, and Segretus all taking the very last spots, indicating that everyone caught on to that fact.

“If I had followed the original plan, I probably wouldn’t have succeeded at all.”

Initially, I only intended to offer a few pieces of advice and help decorate the planet a bit. But returning here, everyone had set up the order themselves and suddenly turned it into a ranking competition.

I couldn’t interrupt in such a fervent atmosphere, so it was a secret only my wives and I knew that I pretended not to notice.

“This is too cruel an act, Father… Could you please grant me another opportunity…”

As Segretus’s bragging time came to an end, Viola approached me, sniffing and pleading. It was a vague claim to be a victim, but she was indeed the one who suffered the most by not even qualifying.

Segretus had been gleefully mocking Viola, reaping the rewards of her own doing, but when I consoled Viola, promising to give her some time later, Segretus quickly burst into tears as well.

In shock, I rushed to comfort Segretus, and after soothing all thirteen of my daughters, each over a hundred years old, I finally managed to restore peace.

They weren’t just shedding tears metaphorically; it was real crying. Waaahhh- Even the usually serious Eileen, Lorelia, and Victoria were not exceptions.

“You’re too soft, Delta. You should be firm when dishing out consequences. If you keep this up, it will only get worse. Well, they’re all smart kids, so I doubt they’ll cross the line.”

After comforting the sobbing daughters and sitting down to catch my breath, Aurora chimed in.

Honestly, I was aware that I was excessively lenient with my daughters. But what was I supposed to do when they looked gloomy or were in tears?

No matter how hard I tried to harden my heart, the moment those tear-filled or sparkling eyes clung to my arm, I simply couldn’t do it.

Once those eyes that looked just like mine started welling up, my mind could recognize it as fake, but my body would begin to panic on its own.

As I conveyed my feelings to Aurora, she chuckled, noting that even after 160 years, nothing had changed. I’d heard countless times that my tendencies made my daughters even more eager to appeal to me.

“If we’re judging by results, it should be considered a failure, right?”

The first experiment ended with Segretus in first place, but the issues still remained. After sending all the daughters back, I opened my mouth, and Lize and Erica nodded in agreement.

“It was a failure. There was no sense of finding a boyfriend or raising someone.”

“Right. Rather than that, it felt like they were too focused on how to gain your approval, Delta.”

Indeed! Aside from the first participants, Regina, Selene, Angela, and Rene, the rest just mirrored Harna, all focusing on how to grab my attention.

‘Did I score them for no reason?’

Harna had done something shocking in reflex, but now reflecting on it, it seemed like I’d made a useless decision. If it weren’t for that, a scoring system wouldn’t have been implemented.

“Is there a proper way?”

“Essentially, I’d say no. The surest method would be for Delta to get angry or yell at them not to do that, but is that even possible?”

Aurora spoke, glancing at me. Minerva, who had also glanced at me, shook her head instead of Kaikilia.

“I can say for certain it’s impossible.”

Everyone shared a consensus in agreement. Since I knew I had my faults, I didn’t feel like contesting the statement.

“Well, if there’s truly no way, it seems like Delta’s clones will multiply exponentially over time, hehe…”

Nix said with a creepy smile as she spoke. The term ‘exponentially’ hit home.

Starting with the eldest ones, there were already thirty-two daughters when adding Evangelina and Seraphica’s daughters. If you included Stella and Selene’s daughters, it would easily exceed fifty.

Then adding in the daughters of my other wives, and with child plans not entirely wrapped up, plus future daughters? If I wasn’t careful, I could end up with more than 200 clones of me.

‘…That can’t happen. Absolutely not.’

The very thought of my daughter dating, marrying, and having children with a clone that looks just like me made me involuntarily tighten my grip. I certainly didn’t want to witness such a sight.

“Thinking of the worst-case scenario, that’s true. But I don’t think that’s something they would enjoy.”

“Right. Regina only loves us because he’s her husband, not because he’s just any guy who looks like her husband.”

“Selene feels the same. Simply creating clones won’t solve the problem. Besides, you wouldn’t allow that in the first place.”

Already, everyone hinted at their dislike, indirectly stating why would they pick a replica instead of the original me. It wouldn’t simply resolve the issue by making clones.

Evangelina and Seraphica were quietly meditating with their eyes closed. I stared at them, then poked Eclipse.

“If the Goddess had done her job right, we wouldn’t need to worry about this.”

“W-Well, I was trying to create men in the next world!”

“I can’t say you put much effort into it.”

Eclipse fell silent, possibly because I struck a nerve. That tendency would likely last a lifetime.

“There’s no way creating a perfect replica of me wouldn’t get boring, right?”

With women being continuously generated, such a question leading to this kind of answer.

I couldn’t refute that. When it came purely to appearance, the only adjective that could express Eclipse was ‘perfect.’

Though her personality was quite distant from perfection.

“I just thought of a good idea.”

Sara and Evangelina, who had been quietly seizing thoughts with their eyelids lowered, opened their eyes simultaneously. Their purple and green pupils slowly scanned around the room.

Evangelina smiled brightly, continuing her sister’s words.

“Rather than persuading over a hundred sisters one by one, wouldn’t it be faster to persuade just one to change her mind?”

Huh?

I slapped Luana and Floretta, no, Seraphica and Evangelina on their heads, then made them hold a sketchbook around their necks with their hands up.

Despite taking such drastic measures, the atmosphere remained uneasy, and the suspicious glances directed at me made it inevitable to conclude the meeting in a messy manner.

‘They wouldn’t seriously try to persuade me instead of the daughters, right?’

With some anxiety, I returned to the room.

“W-Welcome, darling.”

Someone already in the room greeted me in a sweet yet sultry voice.

Leaning against the head of the bed with her arms raised and crossed behind her neck, revealing her armpits, dressed only in golden rags barely covering her important parts, and with her knees bent, her legs opened to show off her genitalia…

“What on earth are you doing in Dad’s room, Frigia?”

It was Frigia.

I grabbed my hazy head and waved my hands. Her opened legs closed, her arms returned to their original position, and her armpits vanished between her arms and chest.

With a whoosh, a thick blanket was thrown over her, putting an end to my daughter’s transgression. Frigia, all tied up, stuck her head out and grumbled.

“How did you know, Dad? I made sure my eye color matched Mom’s perfectly.”

“Do you even know how many times you’ve tried this, Princess?”

As such, aside from the eye color, my daughters had taken so much after their mother that it became hard to find any trace of my genes, leading to countless episodes over the past 160 years.

Most of the time, they were stopped at my instance, or they tried coming in a bit earlier only to be stopped by the mothers upon seeing someone who looked identical to them already lying in bed.

Nix once suggested tying up Harna and having a body party right in front of me, claiming they deserved punishment for sneaking in. That had terrified me completely.

“And do you think, as your father, I wouldn’t be able to tell apart my own daughter from my wife?”

“Wouldn’t it be a problem if you couldn’t?”

“That’d be a big problem for sure, my cute, adorable, and lovely daughter.”

Indeed, it would be a tremendous problem.
