CHAPTER 343

CHAPTER 343: The Eternal Prison

In Lu Ming’s manor, he suddenly sensed Moonfiend’s abrupt disappearance. His brows furrowed in confusion as he immediately returned from the void space.

Lu Ming swept his perception across the Boshi Tower, and everything inside fell under his scrutiny. His sharp eyes narrowed as a single name surfaced in his mind.

“Lin Feng?”

“How could this guy break through the array formation of the Boshi Tower?” he muttered, perplexed.

Lu Ming's mind raced, analyzing the situation thoroughly. After a few moments of careful investigation, realization dawned on him.

“It wasn’t intentional,” he concluded with a nod. “Just sheer luck.”

Despite the randomness of it all, a slight tinge of regret flickered in Lu Ming’s heart. “What a pity about the restrictive array formation I designed earlier…”

But his regret was fleeting. He shrugged, his expression calming as he reassessed the situation. “It doesn’t matter. From what I can see now, the God Sealing Grand Array I designed, based on the Dao of Array Formation at level 589, has numerous flaws. It was far from perfect.”

With a decisive tone, Lu Ming added, “I just need to refine it a bit.”

He opened his attribute panel once more, his gaze honing in on his skill bar. There, a line of bold words seemed to gleam with pride.

—The Dao of Array Formation LV2380.

A small smile played at the corners of Lu Ming’s lips. This level far exceeded even the legendary Jiu Han’s capabilities!

At this moment, the array formations and everything within the Boshi Tower appeared astonishingly transparent to Lu Ming. Even the most intricate formations, with their maze-like complexities, were laid bare before his mind's eye. Their very essence was effortlessly discernible to him with just a simple glance.

He realized he could easily modify these array formations at will, making them not only more rational in design but significantly more powerful in execution. Every flaw, every vulnerability seemed trivial now that his mastery of the Dao of Array Formation had reached such an advanced level.

And if he so desired, Lu Ming knew he could take it even further. He could completely claim the Boshi Tower for himself, transforming it into his own divine artifact—a treasure of immense power, one that would resonate with his will. But, of course, he had no interest in that right now. There were other matters at hand.

His gaze shifted, now locking onto Lin Feng’s manor.

“Lin Feng…” he murmured thoughtfully.

With a single focused thought, streams of Origin Power and a vast amount of Divine Origin surged from within Lu Ming’s body. These streams coalesced, forming an intricate series of array patterns, swirling and rippling like energy waves. In an instant, they vanished, dispersing into the void before him, ready to weave themselves into the fabric of the tower.

Lu Ming’s eyes gleamed. As a so-called “Child Of Luck,” Lin Feng’s fortune had always been bizarrely good, bordering on ridiculous. This peculiar dogged luck had often granted him opportunities where others would have faltered.

“Still, luck only goes so far,” Lu Ming whispered, his lips curving into a knowing smirk.

Although Lin Feng often found himself at a disadvantage when facing Lu Ming, luck was an unpredictable and mysterious force that always seemed to favor him at crucial moments.

For instance, right now.

Originally, after witnessing his comrades fall in battle and realizing his Dao of Array Formations had been instantly eclipsed by Lu Ming’s rapidly growing mastery, Lin Feng had found himself in a desperate situation. He had felt cornered, helpless.

Yet, there had been a fleeting glimmer of hope: Jeros’ unexpected attack.

For a brief moment, Lin Feng had dared to believe that Jeros might be the key to breaking the deadlock. If Jeros could distract or, better yet, defeat Lu Ming, perhaps Lin Feng could seize the opportunity to escape. However, as time passed, that hope began to fade.

For some reason, Jeros seemed to have been stopped—no news of the Boshi Tower being breached, and certainly no sign of Lu Ming's downfall.

Realizing that things were not unfolding according to plan, Lin Feng knew he couldn’t rely on external forces any longer. If he wanted to survive, he would have to take matters into his own hands.

The only viable option was to break open a hole in the Boshi Tower’s grand array formation and escape!

Given the circumstances, Lin Feng considered it a blessing if he could merely escape with his life. Expecting anything more seemed foolishly optimistic. But there was a problem—Lin Feng’s own mastery of array formations was far from master-level. He lacked the precision and depth of understanding that Lu Ming had rapidly gained. And with Lu Ming continuously enhancing his command of array formations at an alarming rate, Lin Feng knew that any attempt to face him directly was futile.

He was powerless against both the Boshi Tower’s grand array and Lu Ming, the one who controlled it.

Unwillingness gnawed at him, and despair loomed. The pressure was overwhelming, yet Lin Feng refused to surrender. Instead, he forced himself to remain calm, sharpening his focus as the situation became more dire. It was in that heightened state of concentration that something unexpected happened—his luck kicked in.

By pure chance, Lin Feng stumbled upon a breakthrough. While tinkering with the structure of a teleportation formation, he unintentionally altered its configuration.

It was as if a child, without knowing how, had twisted a Rubik’s Cube into the right combination.

Lin Feng quickly realized he couldn’t use this method to teleport out of the Boshi Tower entirely, but fate had a peculiar way of intervening. Through sheer coincidence, his manipulation of the teleportation array aligned perfectly with the moment Moonfiend was being besieged by the divine-powered Stone Puppets. In a stroke of fortune, Lin Feng had reunited with her.

“That’s probably it,” Lin Feng said, after quickly explaining the situation to Moonfiend.

He glanced at her as she lay on the ground, panting and utterly exhausted, her composure far from ladylike. Moonfiend’s usually poised demeanor had completely crumbled under the relentless onslaught she had just endured.

Unable to suppress a smirk, Lin Feng couldn’t help but ask, “Lady Moonfiend, did you come to rescue me?”

The question hung in the air, a mix of sarcasm and genuine curiosity lacing his voice. He had never imagined that the mighty Moonfiend, someone known for her cold ruthlessness and terrifying power, would be in such a state—and, on top of it all, appear before him under such bizarre circumstances.

Moonfiend was stunned.

Looking at Lin Feng’s hopeful expression, Moonfiend spoke without hesitation, “Rescue you? Who’s going to rescue me!?”

“Also, aren’t you Jiu Han’s disciple? You’re familiar with this array formation, right? Since you’re familiar, quickly open the door and let us out! Let me tell you, if we stay here any longer, none of us will be able to escape…”

As she spoke, Moonfiend’s voice lowered.

Seeing Lin Feng’s dejected and despairing face, Moonfiend suddenly realized their current situation: trapped beasts, prisoners.

“You can’t do anything either, can you?”

“Hmph.”

“Then do you have any plans? Or any ideas? For example, can you send me to the core area of the Boshi Tower, and with my divine realm strength, I’ll break us out of this situation?”

Lin Feng was silent for a long time before shaking his head. “No.”

Moonfiend took a deep breath. “Where’s your master? Did your master have anything to say about this?”

At the mention of this, Lin Feng’s head drooped even lower.

“No, I can’t contact my master…”

“Then what’s the use of having you!?” At this moment, Moonfiend raised her hand, her face contorted with rage, her tone terrifying.

Today, she had suffered consecutive setbacks, and her mood had hit rock bottom.

As for what Moonfiend liked to do most in a bad mood, there was no need to explain.

That palpable killing intent… Moonfiend genuinely wanted to slap Lin Feng to death just to relieve the anger in her heart.

But unexpectedly, she heard a sound suddenly coming from above.

She abruptly looked up.

A pale golden light was emerging from above. The golden light started as a mere trickle, but soon, it expanded rapidly, resembling a giant opening its eyes.

The expanding golden glow gradually connected into a continuous field, and in the blink of an eye, it formed a golden hemispherical light barrier. The barrier resembled an inverted bowl, trapping Moonfiend and Lin Feng inside.

It wasn’t until the barrier was fully formed that Moonfiend and Lin Feng snapped back to their senses.

“What’s this thing?!” Moonfiend uttered in confusion.

Lin Feng, equally baffled, responded foolishly, “I don’t know…”

“It’s an array formation… Can’t you tell? It seems that everything you learned from teacher Jui Han was in vain.”

Lu Ming’s voice came from the horizon, echoing countless times within the barrier, causing both Moonfiend and Lin Feng’s expressions to change.

In the next second, Lin Feng felt a gust of wind pass in front of him. Moonfiend’s figure shot forward, instantly appearing at the edge of the barrier!

She slapped the barrier with her palm, causing a thunderous roar. However, the barrier remained unaffected, and Moonfiend’s arm trembled slightly, seemingly injured by the reactive force.

Lu Ming’s voice echoed again. “It’s useless. The strength of this barrier… Well, how should I put it… Judging by the strength you just displayed, even if you increase it three to five times, you won’t be able to break it.”

And with Lu Ming’s supplementation of Divine Origin within the barrier, it was almost equivalent to infinite!

This was the eternal prison that Lu Ming had designed for Moonfiend using the Dao of Array Formation at level 2380, absolutely unbreakable.

Of course, this prison had more than one purpose.

As Lu Ming gently curled his finger, the main function of the barrier was immediately revealed.

Inside the barrier, Moonfiend’s expression froze.

She could clearly see tiny specks of Divine Origin oozing out of her pores.

These droplets of Divine Origin slowly rose into the air like golden fireflies, quickly flying upward and fusing with the barrier above.

What she couldn’t see, however, was that as her Divine Origin fused into the barrier, the array formation transformed it into free-flowing Divine Origin energy. This energy was then channeled into Lu Ming’s body, replenishing his Divine Origin points.

“How many Divine Origin points did I use just now?”

“Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Something like that…”

In the manor, Lu Ming muttered to himself. After sensing Moonfiend’s futile attacks within the barrier—watching Fiend Yue relentlessly assault the shield only to end up in helpless rage—Lu Ming couldn’t help but grin.

“Anyway, new grudges and old grudges... our grievances are really big… a little too big, perhaps. Let me lock you up like a battery for a hundred and eighty years. Consider it the payment of some interest.”

After muttering to himself, Lu Ming stood up.

With Moonfiend dealt with, the immediate situation Lu Ming faced had temporarily stabilized.

His gaze swept across the entire Boshi Tower. Soon, his eyes focused on a specific location.

“The level of the array formation should be enough…”

“Now, let me see what problem kept Teacher stuck.”

With a single thought, Lu Ming’s figure disappeared without a trace.
