Infinity in the Void – Freedom in the Abyss

Compass of Judgement

The 70-meter-tall giant walks around, searching for cities and countries to destroy. Charlotte could fly but a walking giant with its body covered in guns and oozing out sludge that eats away at the world itself is way more intimidating.

It did not take long for something interesting to catch her eye. In front of her is a walking mountain, reminding her of The Ivory Throne and The Frozen Valley.

In truth, it was a crab with a mountain on its back, slowly lumbering towards her mecha. Charlotte just rolled her eyes and fired upon the crab with anti-material bullets enhanced with Justice and tipped in Reverie.

As long as Justice is on her side, causality will bend for her righteousness. And they carry the power of Judgement, the power to pierce the Soul.

Each bullet hitting it not only directly damages its soul, but also leaves the sludge onto it, eating away at the beast.

Its mouth bubbled, spewing out lava— then it shot a beam of fire at Prydwen. Charlotte moved the right arm up to block the attack.

BOOM!!

The beam overloaded the arm, making it explode. Charlotte saw that as an offense, the dark blue tendrils sprung out, grabbing the bits and pieces of the destroyed arm, reforming it into a brand new one.

Inside the cockpit, Charlotte was wrapped in the inky tendrils and wires connecting to her trench coat, channeling the power of Ars Goetia. She let out a sigh.

"Open, Book of Akasha.", she commanded.

The silver book with blank pages appears in front of her, it flips open, ready to receive her command.

"Terminus Evorsio."

The book and sludge whirls in her command. From the Sludge of Reverie and Justice, nine giant blades formed above Prydwen's head, almost as big as the mecha even.

Each one shines a golden radiant light, as they are the Blades of the Roman God Terminus, who set the border between the civilization of Rome and the barbarians of the North. All were created by Romulus.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The swords impaled the mountain crab making it crumble, and then Prydwen flew up and was about to unleash a beam of destruction to finish the job—

—Slash!

But before Charlotte could do anything, the crab was sliced in half, killing it instantly. She looked at the terminals, seeking anything possible— and she found it.

A large Eldritch signal coming from... on the mecha's shoulder.

"Who are you?", she demanded, her voice amplified by the mecha.

The cameras showed the footage of what seemed to be a man in a white robe that burned perpetually, to Charlotte, his medium-length hair was like mercury. He had two pairs of glasses on top of each other, and in his hand was... a glaive made of dried-up white flesh.

"I just want to ask you something first.", his voice was very calm, as if the combined power of Charlotte and Utopia was nothing to him, "Are you affiliated with The Pale Court in any way?"

She knew she could not mess with this person, "Yes, I am the Silver Princess of Humanity, the current Akasha in Earth's Great Game."

"Cool, cool.", he crossed his arms, nodding to himself, "Sorry for not introducing myself first, I am Lilia the Unbirthed, the First Jury of the Pale Court."

Charlotte widens her eyes, standing here is the first-ever Herald of Shemiss Aluqdim. And effortlessly, he killed a mountain-sized crab...

"What do you want...", she grumbled. She does not want to deal with this now.

"Since The Original One is up and about, I am pretty much stuck here.", he then smiles, "Can I perhaps hitch a ride home if I help you?"

Charlotte thinks about it for a moment. Letting a Herald boarding her ship isn't that big of a deal, but then again, he stole her kill...

"Give me directions to all the capitals of this world.", she requested.

Lilia shrugged, "Easy, uh..."

He took a world map out of his pocket and extended it out for Utopia to grab and analyze. The image appeared on one of her terminals, which made her smile.

"Utopia.", she only need to say his name.

"[As you Command, Your Highness.]", and he understood her intention.

She peeled herself from the wires and sludge, stepping out of the cockpit wielding Fallen Starlight. The giant hand of her mecha helped her walk down onto the ground, where giant footprints scarred the land.

She held her rifle out, and Prydwen began to transform as it wrapped around the weapon, the sludge oozing out even more between its gaps.

Lilia took this chance to hop down, curious about what Charlotte was about to do... and he nodded in amazement.

The entire mecha turned into a giant 80-meter-long barrel, pointing at the sky far away.

"R-Type Missile, bullet form.", she commands her book.

The Book of Akasha responded, creating one of the deadliest weapons humanity had made— into a 50 cal. bullet.

Opening up Fallen Starlight, she inserted the bullet. Then she gathered the power of Justice and Reverie - the sludge gathering into the Barrel pointed at God, blocking its blue light. With a crazed smile, she began to chant.

"By the Grace of the Divine."

Runes began to be etched onto the bullet.

"In the Name of Humanity."

The bullet began to spin, shining a dark blue light.

"By the Rite of Steel and Gunpowder."

Prydwen hisses as Utopia synchronized with the rifle.

"For those who seen the Folly of Divinity."

She closed her eyes, the locations shown on the map clear in her mind.

"I shall grant you Finality."

Charlotte pulled the trigger. At first, there was the usual silence. Then the buzzing sound of electromagnetic coils makes the bullet go faster.

BOOOOOZZMMM!!!!

The sound barrier was broken, a shockwave flattening every tree around her. Like a roar that warns of the inevitable doom, people all over the world heard it, sending a sense of dread deep into all souls. Even Lilia is holding his chest from the shockwave. He let out a dry laugh at the crazy things Charlotte did.

The bullet flew like a shooting star, exiting orbit where the symbol of the Rose Compass appears - covering a third of the entire planet in its luminosity.

Stars began to fall from the compass, all heading for the capitals around the world.

And when the bullets hit, the implosion sucked everything in, even sound and light. As if thousands of voices cried out in terror and were silenced, sentencing the civilizations of an entire world to vanish.

This is the power of Humanity, of The Silver Princess. Creating weapons that can destroy the world on a daily basis, without the restraints of morality all will be reduced to ash.

Charlotte stood there, smiling. Yet she does not feel joy, rather, it is an empty feeling.

She was disappointed at how quickly it ended...

"Utopia, I'll go on by myself now.", she let go of Fallen Starlight, heading towards the sliced crab.

=0=0=

I don't like the air here, it gives me a foreign feeling that I wasn't supposed to be in this place. Well, this is another world that obeys a different set of rules.

I flashed in a spark of electricity, finding myself behind the sliced crab. In front of me is a simple town, with a deep ravine separating it right in the middle.

This mark was left by Lilia the Unbirthed, it's pretty crazy how strong the First Jury is.

Hmm?

I grabbed an arrow as it flew toward me, almost hitting my head. My eyes snapped towards the assailant... it was a man standing on top of a tower deep in the town.

I summoned Galatine and fired a shot of my own. The golden beam of light hit the tower cleanly, destroying the structure as the man tumbled down.

And for good measure.

"Justice."

I launched a blade of inky blue sludge at the crumbled tower. Gathering the Justice and Reverie sludge, I formed a pair of wings from it, where countless swords and gun barrels formed.

"Justice.", I command again, launching the swords and firing the guns upon the town.

Explosions rang out everywhere, like music to my ears. The power to devour anything of Reverie and the power of Judgement of Justice. A combination that consumes both body and soul.

In the end, in less than a minute, the town was reduced to a barren wasteland.

Hmm~ what should I do now?

Remembering the map Lilia gave me... I should go to the nearest country, the Esclaria Empire. I want to see who lives I am destroying.

I tapped my crown, returning it to the pair of glasses, hiding my identity. It is morally right to steal from those inferior to you, or for "research". Hehe... like the British Museum.

I cracked my neck and...

"Manifest Destiny."

I zoomed across the land in a flash of lightning, traveling in the blink of an eye across the land. And I found myself atop a cliff, overlooking the first fortress city in my sight.

As if imprisoned in a sea of green, the fortress city is surrounded by a vast jungle teeming with life. Yet I can feel something similar to my world's magic here, an Arcane City? That might be it from the thin layer of what looks to be a barrier with unfamiliar Runes floating about.

I glanced to my left, seeing Lilia standing there eating some sort of fried leaf snack in a bowl.

"Hmm?", he looks at me, "Want one?"

"Yeah.", I took a fried leaf and ate it, "Taste like potato chip."

Too salty for my liking, but it's good nonetheless.

"So, what is your deal?", I asked the First Jury.

"I'm stranded here and am pretty much taking a break from destroying worlds.", he ate a chip, "And before you ask, no, there is only me, no Sinner or Witness shenanigan here."

"Why do you wield a glaive made of flesh?", I ask a different question.

"This?", he called upon his flesh weapon, "This is my mother's placenta plus the umbilical cord."

I just stare at him. What the fuck?

"I am called Lilia the Unbirthed after all.", he laughed, "When I was born I crawled back into my dead mother's womb and proceeded to use her body parts as weapons and armor."

...

That's fucked up on several levels. And why the fuck are you saying it so casually like discussing the weather?! It's a morbid as fuck backstory!

I faked a cough, "Anyway, do you know anything about that city?"

"Equil, the City of Magic, it is this world's capital of magic where people practice all kinds of arcane art.", he ate another chip.

So I'll blend in there, huh... I smiled. This should be easy with my Alchemy.

"I'm going there.", with a flick of my glasses, my Eyes of Judgement was suppressed.

Then I jumped, opening my wings to make my landing more graceful.

"Have fun.", Lilia waved.

"Wait on my ship until I get back!", I waved him back.

This adventure isn't over!
