Infinity in the Void – Freedom in the Abyss

Star of Despair

BOOM!

An explosion went off at the front gate, consumed by a blood red flame. Sylas was lying on the ground, covered in soot and dirt.

The culprit was none other than Sinclair, now with a scarf made of fire with the symbol of the Star of Chaos at the end. And a masquerade mask made of fire.

"Yooo! Hello Ataraxia!", she crossed her arms, showing a wide grin, "I am the motherfucking Trailblazer of Evil and Destruction!! And I came here to look for trouble!"

Right away, Joowun rises out from the shadow with her two black machetes ready.

"This looks to be a fun one.", the Shadow Legion smirked. She pointed at Sinclair, "Arise, my Legion."

From the shadow crawling out hundreds, then thousands of warriors came next, flooding the entire front in a sea of darkness.

However, Sinclair reached out to the sky with full confidence, "Open, Vault of Akasha."

A portal made of Reverie opened, and she reached into the abyss to take out... a blue orb

"What is that?", Joowun asked, stopping her excitement.

"Oh, nothing much.", Sinclair tilted her head to the side as her smile turned wicked, "Just the most destructive weapon the world has ever made. The Sea People."

"Just the perfect thing to deal with an entire army.", she turned the orb down, and came from it a stream of blue flesh and tendrils, "Have fun~"

Joowun's expression went from curious, to hesitation, then surprise, and finally horrified. Since from the blue mass of flesh came an indescribable abomination of life, writhing in madness and rage.

But that moment of fear only lasted for a split second, she silently commanded her shadow army to intercept the sea of abomination. This was no fun and game, Joowun realized, she was facing a legitimate threat to the world.

The Sea People are said to be a mysterious civilization that destroyed the Bronze Age of Europe. What no-name civilization could be so powerful to end dozens of dynasties in less than a hundred years? The answer is right before here, a civilization of horror.

Blades clash with tendrils, and soldiers scream soundlessly against the choir of screeches. A battle of number, between the endless horrors of ruination and the limitless army of darkness.

It soon became a stalemate between the two armies. So Sinclair threw the orb back into the portal, and she drew out a new weapon.

A black greatsword burning in golden flame, with nine symbols carved into the blade itself. While Joowun was still dealing with the flood of abomination, Sinclair already raised the sword.

"First Seal - Niflheim: Release.", on her command, the seal closest to the guard glowed a frosty blue. Yet the fire got even hotter.

"This should be enough, right?", she tilted her head with a wicked smile.

But before she can swing her sword down, dark red chains wrapped around her right arm. Alucard was behind her, glaring at the Trailblazer with caution, his left hand holding the chains, yanking her arm back. Sinclair already knew he was there, she allowed him to bind her.

After all, nothing is more pleasurable than to rip hope away just right after giving it.

"Enact, Iron Maiden.", he cast his Magic.

Rising from the ground a dark red iron maiden, as the coffin tried to close... it got stuck on something.

"I'm not that weak~", a blinding white light came before an explosion, destroying the Iron Maiden and making the chunks fly toward Alucard.

Before the chucks hit him, he raised his right hand forward. The chunks turned into blood, splashing against his hand, and formed a gun.

"Haha~ I will never be bored of that trick.", Sinclair commented to herself.

Now she wields a flaming black sword and a white shield with the face of Medusa on it. She strikes a cool pose, keep an eye out for—

"Orin!", Sinclair shouted, swinging her shield to attack Orin, who was lunging at her in midair.

But Orin twisted herself, rolling on the shield to avoid the attack.

"Wow~ so many people!", she looks behind the army of darkness, to see close to a hundred faculty members ready to jump her.

But Sinclair is special. As long as her opponent is human, no matter how many, she can always beat them.

However...

"Oh! Looks like they are almost here!", she said in excitement.

"What is coming?! Speak!!", Orin demanded, hissing at Sinclair.

"Haha~ nothing for you to worry about, little kitty!", Sinclair stuck out her tongue, mocking the woman.

"You bitch!", she lunged again.

At the same time, Alucard fired his shot aiming at Sinclair's torso. A bloody bullet came flying.

"This ought to be fun.", her sinister smile returned. She stabbed her greatsword down into the ground— erupting a pillar of white flame going up to orbit.

Orin dodged at the last second, but unfortunately for her, her right arm and right leg were disintegrated by the fire of Sinclair's blade. While...

"Whew! That was fun!", the Trailblazer cut through the flame, completely unharmed.

The White Tiger clutched the stump that was her right arm, cauterized by the previous intense heat. Still, the beast did not lose her vigor, growling and baring her teeth at Sinclair.

The Trailblazer just gives her a cocky smile.

"I still have four more toys in my possession. But it will be a spoiler if I use all of them at once.", her eyes glow even brighter, "I will show you my ace!!"

She dropped her sword and shield down, with the sword melting into the ground itself.

"Open, Gate of Akasha. In the Name of Humanity! Excalibur!!!"

Her voice was loud and clear, overbearing with its command like a certain somebody. And that voice announced the most well-known weapon in human history...

The Sword of Victory, the golden blade that ignites the night...

Yet, Sinclair dawned herself a pair of jet-black wings made of talon-like thrusters, three for each wing. And from the thrusters burst out a golden jet fire...

And she took off to the sky, flying high into the sky. Her figure became smaller and smaller, and everyone could only see a red glowing dot.

Humanity has always wanted to conquer the sky and be free just like birds, so they built aircraft to soar through the sky. But humanity's desire is endless, they always wanted more.

They wanted wings to dance freely in the sky.

But those wings Sinclair possessed do not belong to the dream of freedom. She became a comet that brings despair.

The red dot flew around in a closing spiral pattern. Then she flew down, breaking the sound barrier as she descend down. Crimson Fire of Malice enveloped her body, making her resemble a meteor more than a dragon...

At that moment, everyone who gazes up to the sky has the same thought. Sinclair was not a person, she was an entity.

The Star of Despair.

BOOM!!!

She crashed into the ground at the front gate, creating a shockwave— a massive crater where the Sea People and most of Joowun's army fell into. While Orin was sent flying.

Everyone's heart is beating, feeling not just the heat but also the incredible power Sinclair just displayed.

Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Alucard... he dipped out by going in his mist form. Sinclair was too strong, and he cannot use his usual tactics with so many people in the area.

Sinclair only spares a glance at Alucard as he makes his escape. She now has no care for humans anyway, since the main dish is here.

She put her sword and shield together, creating an angle, "Come, Guardians of Time. Those who exist in the curves of the Ever Flowing River."

From the angle she created, twenty-one creatures began to come out, wolf-like creatures that resembled a mixture of writhing grey flesh and purple polygons. Their heads are triangles with a glowing green Phi symbol, being the only consistent part of their form. Hounds of Tindalos, the enforcers who protect the timeline and hunt time travelers.

"Like I always have~", she gave the faculty members a wink, "Leaving without a warning!"

She grated the sword against her shield, creating a fissure in space and time— opening a Rift in reality itself. A portal emitting visible radioactive Gamma rays like a heart beating... it was her exit.

"It is now time for the main actress to take her leave!", she blow them a kiss, "Farewell, and fuck you all!"

She leap through the portal carrying her sword... but she left her shield behind.

The Hounds look at each other, bewildered by the action of Sinclair.

"W̷͔͋h̴͎̐ǎ̶̧t̴̺̎ ̴͕͆ď̶͉ȏ̵͔ ̵̞͋w̷̗͆ę̵̉ ̴̳͋ḏ̷̆o̶͑͜ ̸̰̈́n̸͔͒ö̴̗́w̵̹͋?̸͉̐", one of the Hounds spoke in a glitchy growl.

"D̸̠͑ö̶ͅn̵̳̈́'̴̙͐ṱ̶̐ ̶̜̈́a̶͖͗ș̵̒k̶̛̮ ̵̮̊m̷͍̉ḙ̵̄", another one replied.

But then all snapped their head towards one particular direction, looking directly at the tower...

"T̵̠͗i̶̟̍ṁ̵͙e̷̫̓ ̷͍̃D̸̬̊í̶̬ś̷̙t̷̂͜o̶͙̔r̴͚͗t̴̠͝i̷͍̒o̸̠͋n̷̛̬", one growled.

""T̶̲͒i̶̭͗m̵͈̈́ë̴̲́ ̴̤͗D̴̩͝ỉ̴̡s̷̳͝t̸̩͗o̵̢̽r̸̢͝t̵͓͊i̶̥͘o̵̧͛n̶̛͓"", the others followed.

""F̷͔̈͝ō̴͈͠ö̸̯̠́d̷̘̙̍"", they howled, going forward into the academy.

They ignored Orin, who is still on the ground, though the Hounds stopped at the Sea People. One of the Hounds step up.

The Phi symbol on its head glowed"R̸̮̳͌̄e̵̥̤͕̋̓̏c̷̪̐͒o̵̧̥̿̊r̷̟̋̄͠d̴̟̬̆ ̸̙̽̎Ẹ̴̳̰͑͑͋s̵̖̋̊̚t̴̡̽̓́a̸͓̔b̴̦͚̜̑͊̕ľ̵̺̗̽i̵̻̫̻͑͂s̷̟͎̹̑̀̀ḫ̴̣̘̕e̷̯̜͇͗d̴̦̹͂̄͜"

"Ę̶̦̯̔̔Ḽ̷͙̭̕͝I̶̧̖̥̐M̴̬̭̦̽̓̌I̷͉̕Ñ̸̡͎̠́Ả̷̗̼̬T̸͍͙̏̔͜E̴̞̾̒"

At the command, the Hounds of Tindalos came and tore apart the abominations of destruction. Their claws delete wherever they touch, ravaging the army in mere seconds.

One by one, in quick succession, the entire army of abominations was destroyed by just twenty-one Hounds.

Then they began to crawl out of the crater... then they noticed the ground itself began to heal. They sniffed the ground and began to growls ferociously.

"T̴͍̍i̴̜̽m̵̱̓͋ẽ̷̙̐ ̵͙̔̑D̴̫̒i̸̢̫͌̓s̶̻͋ṯ̷̈́o̴̢̍ṛ̸̨͑t̴͚̮͠ǐ̸̗̊o̴̩̜̐ṉ̸̺͆̋ ̷̤̲̌͑L̶̟̥͋e̴̪͌ṿ̸̀͜e̴̠͝l̵̩̙͑ ̸̭̩͝8̷̬͇̓", one howled.

"R̸̤̭̄ḙ̶̱̌͠q̴̠̿̈́u̴̪͈̎͊ë̸̡́͊s̵͔̀t̴̨̬͝į̷̱͑̏n̴̬̱̒͆g̵̣̣̊̃ ̸̲̔B̴̿͜â̷͕͝c̵̪̣̄k̷̟̰͋u̸̦̝̓p̴̛̣"

The Hounds focused on an angle in the crater. And they vanished... just like that.

As the battlefield began to die down, one lone figure stepped forward. She alone went down the crater, without a care, without a sound.

Her azure gaze landed on the white shield with the face of the Medusa on it. She picked the shield up, testing it's weight.

"Pridwen, so that's your name.", she smiles.

fyi, Sinclair has a Battle Theme
