NOVEL SIMPLE Whale Hunting – Engulfing White
It has been a week since Sinclair left. With nothing more to do, I just spent time either inside the dorm room, chatting with Mitsuki and Hoa, or going around the city seeking entertainment.
I also got to know Alpharion more, she always hang out with Omegius, so I got to know them both. They are fun to hang out with, but I'm still weirded out by the way they talk— how they follow each other's speech.
Alpharion is really into model paintings, especially from the tabletop game Battlemace 30,000,000. It calms her mind and can be quite therapeutic, handling each model carefully, one mistake can destroy the whole piece...
Something I don't like about her is she wears an ultramarine jacket, the color is too jarring...
Despite her flaws, she's definitely the brain between the two of them. Calm and collected, observant and soft-spoken.
Actually, both of them are observant and soft-spoken, it's just that Omegius is more... quiet, he acts more like an accessory to Alpharius than an actual person.
Or he's just being a good boyfriend. I don't have much of an opinion on him, except that he's a pretty good speedrunner. He even beat me when it comes to reaction time.
He's the only person who has ever beaten me in a fair match, being the Gem Holder of the God of Light, his reaction speed is as fast as light.
They are fun.
Though today we are not hanging out like friends, I got called to the safe house together with them. I got here last because my sportbike can't go as fast as the speed of light.
Though luckily, I don't need to go inside since the Gemini duo, Kawl, Juju, and a middle-aged man, are all standing outside.
"Ah, perfect timing.", Kawl said, staring at me with his green bionic eyes, "Charlotte, we have a report saying that Moby Dick is becoming active. We need to deal with it fast."
"What's wrong with it waking up?", I asked.
"It's a Leviathan-Class disaster.", the new guy walked towards me, "The name's Philip Henry Lovecraft. Manager of Project Divine Light."
"Charlotte Silvi, Silver Princess of Humanity.", I introduced myself with a nod.
"As I was saying, a Leviathan-Class creature can cause tsunamis, create storms, and block shipments, just by moving. It will be worse with Moby Dick confirmed being in contact with an Eldritch God.", he takes out a cigar, "Frankly, we are pulling all available personnel for this operation."
"So how many are coming?", Alpharion chimed in.
"Including you three, seven Gem Holders in total, and two users of God Slayers. Our attack will begin tomorrow once we have located Moby Dick.", Philip explained, lighting his cigar up, "Since we are facing an unknown entity, there is no plan."
He let out a puff of smoke with a smile, "Hit it until it dies."
"I can provide some nukes.", I spoke out, grabbing everyone's attention, "How many do we need?"
"Kawl?", Philip looks to the man of iron.
"One Red Sun Class Atomic Bomb should be enough to crack whatever defense it has.", Kawl replied, calculating in his partial mechanical mind.
"Red Sun Class has the same destructive power as the Little Boy Bomb", Omegius chimed in, giving me information.
Good, because I didn't understand a thing from that. Nobody ever tells me this kind of information, they just assumed I already knew because of who I am.
"Don't we have anyone that can locate the whale this instant—", wait, I know someone like that!
"Philip, if I locate Moby Dick right away, how fast can we begin the operation?", I asked, smiling as I cannot hide my excitement.
Though from the creeped-out expression of everyone, my smile was more of an omen... fine by me~
He took another hit, "Everyone is on standby, looking for a whale... once the signal is given, the assault will begin right away. Everyone just needs to do their own thing."
"It's like playing League.", Alpharion stated with a shrug.
Followed by Omegius, "You don't speak to each other, but you understand each other's role."
"We are the supports.", then back to Alpharion.
"And you are the Opener.", Omegius finished with a smile.
I don't think I will get used to their gag. But I do understand what they are saying, my job is the ice breaker, I initiate the combat with an explosive move... and keep going at it.
"How are you going to find a whale in the Pacific Ocean?", Kawl asked, curious about my method.
"The Records of Beast, which I named Charles. They also want to kill Moby Dick.", I held my right arm out, "Charles."
A crow landed on my arm, twitching around as it got a good look at everybody. Then hundreds of critters came to me, making everyone else step back.
"Charlotte."
"Charlotte."
"Why did you call us?"
"Charlotte."
"What are we doing?"
"Food?"
"What do you seek?"
"Charlotte..."
Here they go again with that many voice thing. I rolled my eyes.
"Can you track down Moby Dick?", I asked.
And they replied.
"Of course."
"We can."
"Charlotte"
"Charlotte"
"Kill."
"Remove it."
"We will help you."
"Charlotte."
"Let us end the dominion of the Cetaceans."
"Violators of the natural order."
And they all went away, while I just keep on smiling.
"There you have it, Charles knows the location of Moby Dick.", I stated with my arms open, "I'll handle the tracking."
While they are still processing what I just did, I turned around and walk away.
"I'll go grab my stuff, and then we will begin the operation."

The ocean is a cruel place, where the Ego of the World's nature fully shows. Beneath the calm waves and blue water, it is a world of death, kill or be killed.
Here, the giant white whale - covered in an armor of barnacle - laid rest on top of a dead city. Here, it hears the whispers of a creature from beyond the Oort Cloud.
The Eldritch God as it calls itself, their cries touched the Slumbering King of the Waves. At first, it ignored the call. But as time went on, it succumbed to the whispers.
Because the Eldritch God said something to it, to submit, to receive its Blessing. To destroy those who hunted his race down, to end them... once and for all.
So the King awaken from its slumber, now tainted black by the tendrils and maws of the Eldritch God.
Though as it rise from the ocean, it encountered something... fishes, aquatic animals, they gathered around... attacking it without a care for their own life. From schools rushing head first, smashing into its barnacle armor. To sharks gnawing at the tendrils.
All are small, all are insignificant to the King. They do not understand what it wants, for the prosperity of the ocean, it was trying to remove the obstacle all of them face.
Fishes are dumb...
But then everything changed when the King saw it.
Swimming amongst the fishes is a humanoid creature. Flowing red hair like strands of blood in the water, with bloody red eyes to match their hair. Two great horns of the goat, a golden mane around their neck like a lion, their arms and feet covered in jewel-like red serpentine scales.
Magnum Opus, life created by humanity...
They now bore the name Charles, given by their mortal enemy, after the man who exposed the secret of evolution, Charles Darwin. Now they face the King of Cetaceans... but this was not their fight. Not yet at least.
Charles drew a Rune, glowing red with power. Then they whispered underwater, "Enact, Burst."
And a pillar of water erupted from the midnight zone to the surface. The King realized what that was—
It was a signal.
Quickly, ignoring the swarm of fishes it rises to the top— only to be surrounded by ships on all sides. Then it heard someone speaking...
"I am Charlotte Silvi, Ruler of the World.", her voice was soft yet it carries a commanding presence.
"Devils of the Void, They who embodied Infinity.", she smiles wickedly, from the tip of her hair to halfway, it turned an inky black.
"You who gave humanity a Spark, a Light in their Clouded Mind.", her eyes dilated to darkness, from an intense azure glow to a calm abyss.
"Imagination to Create all.", a black scarf formed around her neck, fluttering in the wind and leaving behind a trail of black smog.
"The Dream to Rule Everything." she raised her right hand as both arms get covered by inky black goo, forming two full-length gloves as black as the starless night.
"Anima Pactum - Akashic Reverie."
She closed her eyes, then she chuckled.
"Reverie. Realize. Materialize!", she shouted in excitement— and from her hands, she grabbed a white sphere with a black dot, resembling an eye.
She threw it toward the King. Then someone else came into the scene.
"Forge of Abzu - Father's Cage.", a woman with golden eyes commanded, raising walls made out of water.
Then a man wearing a purple scarf jumped up into the sky, he raised his golden staff up into a throwing position—
It struck the sphere— and a white light engulfed everything.
