Lord of Fire is a Gamer

More Ugrades, Because Why Not

[Dragon Growth Potion]

I can't help but smile as I dangle the potion in my hand.

It's way less specialized than the potions I made before.

Before, they used to be potions created especially for my little Eggy, now this thing can probably work on anything that counts as a dragon.

I don't really know how that works actually. Can I call myself a dragon and use it on myself?

Really, this opened so many ways for me to experiment, I can't even imagine.

Anyways, I can take a small break from the alchemy now. It's getting kinda boring now, I don't want to experience burnout and lose all my passion for the art.

My blacksmithing is fine...

Kind of disappointing, but fine.

I thought that I could handle the dragon skin and stuff in like a week, but it didn't work as I wished.

According to the books I memorized from Wan Shi Tong's library, my progress speed is incredible, but it's still slower than what I expected.

Anyways, I have a good and stable improvement on it and it seems like I will keep improving at the same rate for a while.

Apart from those two, I've also gotten better at cooking and made small progress on sewing.

But these things, all of it, kinda got boring...

I'm really an impatient jackass.

Anyways, I decided to put more focus into the things that mattered more, like bending and shit.

First of all, heat bending, done!  Easy deal. Just bend heat.

Plasmabending on the other hand? I just feel like I'm really close to it, but also really far.

I tried asking about it to Excalibur, but he's kinda grumpy since I keep them in my inventory whenever I'm not using them. Since time doesn't pass inside the inventory, they feel kinda disoriented.

Yeah, I know, I know. That's all on me. I should have been more considerate.

To make up for it, I got them out of my inventory, got scolded by Glai (look at miss 'I am so chill', if you were that relaxed, you wouldn't have scolded me for shit like this!), and just hang out with them.

The last part is kind of a lie, but whatever. I didn't really bring them out to dates or anything, I just let them watch me or put them near Megumin whenever they want. They like her more because, apparently, Megumin is much more chill than me... These fuckers... They just want to laze around all day, don't they?

Hear hear! Laziness means chillness apparently!

No, I'm not grumpy.

Anyways, since plasmabending is so hard, I decided to go for something else.

Self immolation.

It basically makes me immune to fire for a little while and deals damage to my surroundings.

It's pretty good.

Heat absorption.

I suck in the heat to myself.

Everywhere around me gets colder, obviously. I can use absorbed heat as a fuel for myself, but there's a limit unfortunately, not just a limit about the surrounding heat, but also my body. Even if there's still some heat for me to absorb, my body can only take so much, it's pretty taxing.

Unfortunately, due to my current limit on absorption can't absorb enough to turn everywhere around me cold enough to kill people at my level.

It's still deadly, but not useful against enemies that would force me to use this.

I wonder if I can reach to a point when I can actually absorb enough to make it absolute zero...

Well, that's pretty far from now.

Firestorm.

Alright, I will be fully honest, it's just a big mass of flames that's acting like a storm.

But it looks just so fucking beautiful, I had to assign it as a special technique.

Apart from these, I learned a few other techniques and delved deeper into the lightbending.

Illusions, done!

Lightbending illusions are illusions that I can make ON the world, not on a person, but on the world. It's more complicated and kind of inferior in my opinion.

I have to think about their perspective, how do they look, what angle, how far etc. and then create an illusion according to that.

It's really complicated actually. I don't think I could pull it off without the processing power of an S+ intelligence brain.

I can only do it for one person since I have to calculate it according to their perception. It sucks, but it's all I can do before advancing any further.

Since it's just a light illusion, I can only cloud their sight, so I have to imitate the sound somehow? I don't know, it has many flaws right now. I will fix them in the future.

Lightningbending.

Tried some cool looking shit from the animes. I will have to thank the Neet's memories for that.

Kirin was a beautiful sight to see, even Megumin liked it.

It's destructive and looks incredible, what more could I want?

Thank you the lord of edge and brooding.

Chidori is cool.

I don't think that I would ever need to use it, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

I mostly use close combat to NOT kill people, you know knock them out or something. A technique (no I'm not calling it jutsu) that can pierce through a chest is great but I don't think that I would use it much.

Still cool to have it in my arsenal.

Tried the lightning armor that Raikage guy used.

It's... electrifying.

I'm a very humorous person, yes. But I said that because it really is.

It makes me feel like ants are crawling under my skin. It's a weird and creepy sensation.

Voltage nova made me feel hot, this makes me feel too energized and weird.

Anyways, I already have voltage nova to increase my physical attributes, but there are some differences between this and that.

Voltage nova gives higher stats, and lets out a burst of damage every few seconds.

Lightning mode zips anything I touch and makes it easier for me to use lightningbending.

So, if I ever feel like going physical, I can just use this and put Chidori to my hand.

Nice.

Honestly, there are so many things to do with lightningbending, I feel like I've barely scratched the surface.

And lo and behold!

Energybending!

Sometimes I wish I had the bending experience and memories of 1000 years like the Avatar. Getting such a complicated method instantly would have been fucking great.

I made lots of progress in energybending, unfortunately, it's still not 100% done.

The thing is, I have to experiment.

I can't just try it on myself.

I mean, I can, but I don't fucking want to.

Trying it on animals is a pass, for obvious reasons, so I need human subjects.

I know I complained a little bit about how stale things were here, but I don't really want to go out and waste my time to find a person for my experiments.

I will do it, eventually.

Right now, I can still make good progress in firebending and my other side occupations like blacksmithing, so there's no hurry. It's not like my progress is halted or anything.

Honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm being too impatient and hasty, I can just sit back and relax like this. This stable progress feels good too.

Oh no, Glai is already getting into my head.

[An: Just like the last chapter, I was about to write more about his firebending, but I held back lol. I felt like it was getting too long so I cut it short.

Toxic Koala said it would be fine to write more about it so I was about to add 200-500 words about how he learned the techniques, how he got the inspiration and stuff. But it became too long and after reading it, it felt boring. Sorry Toxic Koala, I really wanted to add those words, but my gut is basically screaming at me about how it's a bad idea lol. It just felt too much like filler.]

[I'm sorry for not updating for the last few days. I'm fine, just extremely busy.

This is not dropped btw, but it might have irregular updates (instead of the usual 1ch/day schedule) for a while.]
