Mark of the Multiversal Pretender

Ch. 79 – Coronation Day!

The next morning, Agnarr was about to finally proceed in writing personal invitation letters to certain figures outside Arendelle Kingdom for Elsa's coronation day when a knock was heard on the door.

"Come in." Knowing only four people who would knock on his door at this time, Agnarr gave his permission.

"Your highness! Lieutenant Desmond Mattias sent me to deliver this letter." Approaching the table, the knight handed the parchment to Agnarr before saluting and leaving.

"Desmond Mattias huh? It's fortunate of him to follow his father's footsteps. If Lieutenant Mattias were alive and to see him now, I'm sure he'd be proud." Hearing the familiar name from the Knight's mouth, Agnarr saw a flashback of the time when he and his father, the former king visited the enchanted forest, it was Lieutenant Mattias, his father's personal knight guard that protected them and sacrificed his life just to save him.

Opening the parchment, Agnarr wore his reading glasses and started reading from the top to the bottom.

"....That's nice to read. A large encampment was found ruined and dead bandits. It seems like Daredevil kept himself busy last night. As for this Sentinel...." Agnarr's eyebrows furrowed upon the mention of Sentinel on the parchment.

Originally before Daredevil, Sentinel was the rumored hero of Arendelle, with his distinctive blue mask and a dark robe, made most citizens feel like the Sentinel is a mysterious person who bears the responsibility of protecting the innocent.

Despite operating on Arendelle for a whole year, not much information was gathered on the said hero as in his wake, there would only be a few scratches and potholes on the ground, no other signs besides that.

"Still remains as a mystery, perhaps I could ask Daredevil for Sentinel's true identity." Muttering to himself, Agnarr dropped the parchment on the table and resumed writing the invitation letters.

Any moment now, his daughter Elsa will wake up, so Agnarr would inform her about the invitation letters, the prominent figure who would attend her ceremony and finally, the etiquettes she should remember when facing another kingdom's nobility.

"Hopefully, Elsa is already prepared to bear her responsibilities." Suddenly, while Agnarr was speaking to himself, a memory flashed in front of his eyes, a flashback from when they were saved by a man named Leo, and who they encountered soon after Leo's disappearance.

His conversation with that spirit still echoes in his memory.

"Elsa is not just your daughter, she is more than just a princess of your Kingdom. Her responsibility is far bigger than managing your Kingdom, her responsibility concerns the entire world. So make sure by the time that comes, she's prepared enough." In front of Agnarr and Iduna, was the water spirit in the form of the horse, who Leo 'defeated' or at least what he thought so.

"But why? If this responsibility is heavy then why my daughter?" Agnarr asked with slight desperation in his tone. As Elsa's father, he doesn't like to see his daughter's suffering. Every night, he would hear her cry and he couldn't do anything to comfort her.

He felt like a useless father to her.

"The real question should be is why it shouldn't be your daughter." With that being the water spirit's last words, the water in shaped of a horse flowed back down to the ocean, disappearing from their sight.

Leaving a despaired Agnarr and saddened Iduna.

Closing his eyes, Agnarr tried his best to forget about that. Anyways, his daughter could control her powers now and can touch objects and people without turning them into a popsicle.

It is due to her being able to control her ice powers that Agnarr decided to crown her as the Queen of Arendelle as soon as possible.

If what the water spirit says is true, then Agnarr would need Elsa to prepare herself to bear heavy responsibilities.

Hence, the main reason why he pushed the date of her coronation much earlier than usual.

Normally, she should turn 22 first before being allowed to sit on the throne however as the King of Arendelle, changing such law is very easy for him. A single stroke of an ink would do the job.

"She should be awake by now." Taking a look at the grandfather clock, Agnarr watched as the time ticked by and called his butler's name.

"Kai, please call Elsa here for me. She should be awake by now."

While the castle of Arendelle is busy on its own, the same can be said to the protagonist, Leo.

Currently, he was reading a few papers on his table.

This paper contains the report of Ann about the village's current situation.

Thanks to Leo, the black panther tribe is flourishing very well, not to mention that there are no more malnourished black panthers, the tribe is slowly learning to stand on its own once again.

Although Leo doesn't have to do such a thing and just wait until he travels to the past and fix things up, Leo still feels obliged to help the tribe despite the tribe forgetting about everything towards their current situation once he changed what happened to the past.

'If I were to change the past, will Ann still exist? The butterfly effect is very scary and dangerous.' Actually, there's a reason why he was concerned about the lady black panther. Not because he sees him more than just a black panther but because Luna has been attached with Ann, seeing her more as her mother than a playmate.

And Luna would definitely be saddened and possibly depressed if him changing the past would change everything including Ann's existence.

'Genesis, is there a way to prevent her from the effects of the butterfly effect? It's 50/50 of whether she will still exist or not after I change their past.' Finding no answer by himself, Leo sighed and finally resorted to his last choice of help, seeking out to Genesis.

[It is impossible to expel someone from the effects of such a concept...]

'....I smell a 'But' coming next.'

[....You know me too well, Leo. Although impossible but if you're lucky enough, you can turn that impossible to possible.]

'How?'

[Simple....]

A few days has passed and today is a very special day to the entire Arendelle!

The Coronation Day of Elsa!

With everything being prepared by the King himself, Arendelle Kingdom is decorated to every nook and cranny, especially the port where the kingdom will be expecting the visitors from other sides of the map.

With many people being invited to the coronation day, no doubt this day would become a very memorable day to everyone, especially to Arendelle citizens.

"Hmm, it's hard to believe I could believe I could step my foot back here again after years." Disembarking from a fully decorated large ship, a short and scrawny old man wearing monocles was made a remake while his two bodyguards behind him just smiled menacingly.

"Well, you know what to do boys. Keep an eye out for their secrets. I can't wait for those gates to open, so I can pry on their mysteriousness and maybe clutch a few of their riches. Did I say that out loud?"

Aside from him, several other nobles also arrived, reeking of riches and wealth. Arrogance displayed on their faces.

"So this is Arendelle. One of the most prominent and richest Kingdom in the world."

"I can't wait for the party to start. So many connections to be formed."

While the nobles were stating their own remarks about their observations towards the Kingdom, a certain prince finally arrived with a hideous smile on his face.

'With my plans carefully laid out, as long as everything goes smoothly. I'll find myself sitting on that seat as the King soon.' With a dirty smirk on his face that he soon erased, Prince Hans fixed his white suit and stood straight, showing the true demeanor of a Kingdom's prince. Albeit he's the youngest and most ignored among his siblings.

As for his plans?

Let's just simplify it as taking out the supposed heir, seducing the innocent sister and ascending to the throne as the King without much hassle.

It would just take patience for him to succeed and patience is something he earned when he was a child.

So to him, this plan would be easy.

'As long as there's no other unknown variables involved, Arendelle will find itself with a new and better King.'

Unbeknownst to the poor prince charming, his entire 'carefully' laid out plans will find itself shooting himself on the foot.

***

After wearing the formal white suit that he saw from one of Agnarr's collections, Leo was taking a look at himself in the mirror.

"I look fantastic." Of course Leo wouldn't really go out there defenseless, this might look like a suit but it's actually Raven's morphing skill that he gained from a Gacha draw.

Once he goes back to his own appearance, you'd be seeing his red tights instead.

"Hoooo~ if everything really goes as that Duke planned, this event would have to welcome a few attackers full of handguns that I myself introduced in this world. Sigh, what have I gotten myself into just in the pursuit of power." Sighing to himself, Leo can't help but be disappointed at himself.

He just realized it now that there are far more better ways to improve his strength, yet he chose an evil one just because he felt like it is more exciting and anticipated.

But now, Leo starts to regret it.

All he could do for now is to thread his steps and take out Kingpin and finish all the Quests that are related to Daredevil and Kingpin.
