Mark of the Multiversal Pretender

Ch. 86 – After the Happening!

"King Agnarr!" Attracted by the voice of Leo, Iduna and Anna snapped their heads towards Leo.

"Leo! I-It's dad, E-Elsa, s-she...." Anna stutters, unable to properly form a sentence due to the trauma and shock that she just received.

"Leo! Please go follow Elsa, she might be in danger! Protect her please!" Seeing that Anna was useless for now, Iduna quickly interrupted, voicing her concern towards Elsa despite what she accidentally did.

"....Hold on." Seeing the critical condition of Agnarr and its effect if he dies, Leo crouched in front of them, much to the mother-daughter duo's confusion.

'Genesis, I still have that thing, right? The legendary items I drew from the gacha.'

[You mean [Pouch of Senzu Beans]?]

'Yes. Please take it out.' Leo hurriedly said and thankfully, the same goes to Genesis as a brown pouch suddenly appeared on his palm, much to the surprise of Anna and Iduna.

"Leo?" Anna cast a confused look towards the man.

"Trust me." Was the only thing Leo said before taking out a single piece of small bean from the pouch before crawling next to Agnarr's head.

Anna and Iduna along with the recently arrived knights all gasped in surprise when Leo carelessly took out the large icicle on Agnarr's chest.

Just as Anna and Iduna were about to angrily shout at Leo, the man just ignored them and focused on Agnarr, whose face turned paler upon the icicle removal.

"Open up." Leo muttered and dropped the bean inside Agnarr's bloodied mouth before moving his jaw around to help him chew.

"There. That should do it." Leo sighed in relief, all while Anna and Iduna still remained angry and confused.

"Leo? What did you do?" Anna asked, casting a short glare at Leo.

"Don't worry, your father will be fine. Now, I'll have to go, I still have a rogue Queen to catch." Without waiting for their response, Leo stood and quickly ran towards the back exit where Iduna pointed at where Elsa last left.

"Be careful!" Iduna could only shout as she watched Leo's departing back.

"Mom look!" Diverting Iduna's attention back to the matter at hand, Anna pointed at Agnarr.

Shifting her gaze towards her husband, Iduna gasped in surprise as Agnarr's previously pale face starts to gain more color and his ragged breathing became stable.

Meanwhile, the large hole on his left chest courtesy of the large icicle stabbed in earlier started to close up, seen by the naked eye.

And just like that, a man who was almost on the doorstep of death, was brought back to life.

"Dad!" Seeing the chest of Agnarr heaving up and down, Anna let out a short burst of cry of joy, quickly hugging Agnarr's sleeping figure.

That's when cold freezing pain suddenly assaulted Anna's entire body!

"A-ahh!" The entire ballroom was suddenly engulfed by Anna's pain filled scream, as she falls on the ground and hugged her entire shivering body.

"Anna!" Quickly rushing towards her youngest daughter, Iduna cradled Anna's head on her lap and witnessed as her brown silky hair slowly gained a few tinges of white.

"No, Anna..." Iduna muttered in worry, she knew what this meant. It meant that the frozen Heart curse that Elsa accidentally placed on Anna is now back.

Normally, the curse wouldn't surface again as Anna's memories that involves over Elsa's ice powers were removed and replaced. However now that Anna has seen the ice powers, the curse surged back on, once again putting Elsa's life at risk.

As Leo was now following the trail that Elsa left behind and planned to catch up to her as soon as possible, Elsa was avoiding the trees and trunks as she ran as fast as she could, never turning back in fear of seeing the fear and rage expression of her sister.

"I killed dad.....I killed him, it's my fault." Unable to stop the tears streaming down her cheeks, Elsa could only try to wipe them away but no matter how much she wiped, her eyes still weep.

Feeling the exhaustion weighing on her, Elsa stopped and fell on the grassy ground, clutching on the grass as her tears landed on the dirt.

"What have I done? I thought I had it under my control?" Elsa kept asking them questions to herself, her trust over herself slowly dwindling.

"Was I wrong? Perhaps I was just delusional?" Elsa looked at the own hands, although it looked clean but she could still feel it dirty, stained with the blood of her dead father.

"I need to get away. Away from anyone so I wouldn't hurt anyone anymore." As Elsa's decision was already set on stone, her mind suddenly wandered towards the man who has been with her for at least a few weeks.

"Leo....I'm sorry." With a croaked voice, Elsa said, almost able to hear the pain in her tone.

"What are you being sorry about for?" Suddenly, Elsa's previous weeping face changed inexplicably upon hearing a familiar voice behind her.

"Leo?" Turning around, Elsa's eyes widened in surprise seeing Leo leaning coolly on a tree.

"Leo I...." Elsa's eyes gained hope when suddenly the flashback happened again, her father falling down on the ground with an icicle stabbed on his chest.

"Shhh....It's okay, Elsa. Everything will be okay." Quickly interrupting her, Leo kneeled down and engulfed her in a hug,

"But I- I killed dad." Feeling the warmth of Leo's touch, Elsa was finally unable to hold it anymore and cried her heart out.

"Shhh....Your dad is just fine. He's still alive and kicking. Don't worry." Leo assured her, dropping a huge bomb on Elsa's head.

Her cry came to a sudden halt as she stared confusedly at Leo.

"W-what do you mean? If this is a joke, Leo. I don't like it." Elsa said, faking an anger.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Leo asked, his face being serious and stoic., which made Elsa blush slightly out of embarrassment.

Leo is right, he wouldn't make such a joke in this kind of situation.

"I-I'm sorry, I was just...." She quickly tries to apologize.

"It's fine, Elsa. I can understand your dilemma, let's just go back. Your mother is worried about you."

"And Anna?" Elsa asked, her eyes looking at Leo's, trying to see the answer through his eyes.

"Anna, she's...." Leo slightly hesitated, although Iduna has shown her concern towards Elsa, Anna didn't.

"I knew it. I-I shouldn't go back. I'm afraid of what Anna will say to me." Elsa hugged herself, looking down on the ground as fear was clutching over her entire being.

"Elsa..." Leo called with concern in his tone.

"Please. Just go away and leave me." Although Elsa was trying to shut him out, Leo could feel the unwillingness and sadness in Elsa, so he didn't budge.

"I won't leave, Elsa. And I know you don't want me to also." Leo crossed his arms and held his ground.

"Leo...." Elsa's eyes gleamed in happiness, she felt happy at being cared for by Leo, however when the thought of herself being dangerous and uncontrollable, that happiness was soon snuffed out and replaced by fear.

"But Leo. I-."

"No buts, whether you like it or not, I won't move an inch." As if to prove his dedication, Leo sat on the grassy ground and stayed still, not moving an inch.

"Leo please stop."

"Nope, unless you come with me." Leo stayed consistent and refused.

[Rooting for that Woman's Warmth reward huh?]

'Pfft! Hah!? Fuck you, Genesis! I'm not doing this for that, okay!?' Hearing Genesis's words almost made Leo spit his saliva out, thankfully he has full self control, so he didn't embarrassed himself in front of Elsa.

"....If we come back, will you be with me? You won't leave me?" Hearing her question, Leo looked at her in disbelief.

"Me? Leaving you? There's a reason why I came here to fetch you. Now come on, let's go back and clear things up back there. Don't worry, I'll be there with you until the end." Finally standing up, Leo approached Elsa and hugged her.

***

"This is nothing but a miracle! What did Leo feed him?" In the castle, Iduna stood in front of Agnarr and Anna who both lay on the bed.

Beside her were the advisors, knights and some nobles who decided to stay and visit. Even Kai the Butler was there.

The entire castle is already being cleaned by the knights and servants, the dead bodies all rounded up and piled somewhere Arendelle, while a large search was issued for both Elsa and Argon who had escaped.

"I don't know. Maybe Elsa knows? I'm not sure." Iduna replied to whoever asked the question, however her real worry on here is not her husband, Agnarr, as the doctors have already checked him and he's stable enough and just waiting for him to wake up.

No.

What worries her the most is Anna, who's condition is worsening.

'I need to bring her to the trolls, perhaps grand Pabbie would be able to erase her memories again.' With this decision in mind, amidsts everyone's eyes, Iduna rushed forward and carried Anna in her arms.

"Iduna?" Everyone uttered the woman's name as they watched her exit the clinic with Anna.

The doctors nearby tried to stop her but as if fate wills it, Iduna managed to dodge all of their attempts and successfully escaped, running all the way towards the stables.

At the same time as she left with a horse, Leo and Elsa finally arrived at the walls of Arendelle thanks to Leo's bridal carry.
