Chapter 43: A New Alliance. Let’s Reignite The Days Of The Old Gods.

??? POV

She’s standing on clouds before some golden gates in the distance. There’s a long line of people before her all in some sort of uniform. Where is she even? What is this place? Who is she? Huh... Strange why can’t she seem to recall anything? How did she get here? But there’s a thought ingrained in her mind and it’s telling her to queue. She tries to ask the uniformed man before her, but he seems equally confused.

She leans over to try and figure something out. Impatiently tapping her fingers against her arm. She spots a ornate table at the front. There are some beautiful looking people with feathery wings. Oh woah. There’s a hunk amidst them with ashy blond hair adorned by a metallic vine tiara. Draped in white silk cloth to expose his sculpted pecs. Wherever this place is. She thinks she might like it. He’s placing his hand onto the queuer's heads before making them flake away in grey or black light.

Then, there’s a tall, chiseled lady that’s exiting. Ghastly stunning, eye-catching even amongst gems. Her hair a platinum gold, blinding as the afternoon sun, spiraling down her back. Light pupils, near fog white. There’s something cold and regal in her features but a fiery fierceness shatter through it all. Like the paintings of War Goddesses, she’s once seen.

Why did she think that? What are War Goddesses?

The lady looks like she’s in pain. Dragging her feet in a rush. Droplets of blood trailing behind her. Her two-piece flowy white gown, ornamented with black crystals at the hems, splotched red. The beautiful people at the table looks unsettled by her presense, but they do not attempt to engage with her. The white lady starts approaching down the line, attracting curious glances. Heading straight for her. Once the lady gets close enough, she asks,

“Who are you?” as the lady presses into the center of her decolletage, she replies hurriedly,

“I don’t have a lot of time to explain things before God casts me out.” A light carves into her, a heat pulses into her veins. It feels like adrenaline to race her heart.

“I accepted your request. Now it’s your turn to accept mine. I will give you an army of hot Angels. I will give you all my powers. Go to the Elders. They will teach you how to use them and how to become even stronger than I am. And in return, you will fight a war for me and take the Heavenly Throne as the new God. Once you do, help me on my quest in Astoran. Let's reignite the days of the Old Gods.” she’s getting lost,

“What does that even mean?” examining her torso. There’s a black crystal lotus embedded into her, the source of that feeling, giving off a flaking glow. But the white lady is just telling her,

“You will be able to find the Elders at Yggdrasil.” she emphasizes very seriously,

“Don’t follow anyone else who’s bringing you anywhere but Yggdrasil.” before placing a palm over her forehead,

“Close your eyes.” she says.

She does, and images began rapidly flashing. She sees a castle atop a flowering hill. Countless butterflies fluttering like a dream. Then a purple canopy bed. Beside her, there’s an old woman with a book opened in her hand rocking on a chair as if to read her stories. Granny Mel. That’s Granny Mel! Followed by fire and blood. Her running through the collapsing streets. Stowed herself on a turnip cart to a faraway land.

She stabbed a vendor in the leg for some bread. Then he caught and sold her to a brothel. They put a pillowcase over her head and passed her around. Labored her to her bones. She finally ran away again after scalding the Madam with hot water after they refused to even pay her for it. She’s learnt her trade surviving by begging, pickpocketing and whoring to whoever that was willing to give her silver. Dosed herself silly on Purple Poppy to numb herself. Constantly on the run from hired mercenaries of all the angry people she thieved from. Until she eventually meets her demise in a sad little village. This is... This is her life! She remembers now! She remembers how pointlessly and pathetically she has lived.

She is Bathory Yggstel Weiss. Third princess of the Kingdom of Genocia. Huh. Lumeria... This white lady is Lumeria! She hears a thunderous zap. She snaps her eyes open,

“Lumeria!” but Lumeria’s already gone. Leaving behind but a few splatters of blood on the spot where she once stood. The hunk is approaching her now and she asks him, completely confused,

“What is going on? Where am I? Where is Yggdrasil? Where did Lumeria go? And what’s this about becoming the new God?” and he already looks exhausted with a sigh,

“Come with me. It’s tiresome to explain.”
