My Life in Multiverse

A new magic display appeared above Julius's head with the chart of the tournament on it.

"Battle wins and losses won't directly affect whether you pass or fail. That being said, the more you win, the more you'll be able to show your true skills. Since you have the chance, I hope you all strive to win." Julius announced.

Alex raised his head and observed the chart, mumbling. "It seems I can only face Yuno in the finals, huh? That idiot must have done it on purpose.'

"Alright everyone we are about to start our first match." Julius declared.

Alex and others had been teleported to their respective positions with a magic crystal hovering in the air behind them that they needed to protect.

Just as Alex and others appeared on their spot, Alex turned to Zora and asked. "So, what are you planning to do in this round, Zora?"

Zora furrowed his brows and looked at Alex cautiously. He had never anticipated that the other party had recognized his real identity.

"Asta, what are you saying? His name is Xerx. He is the vice-captain of the Purple Orca." Mimosa smiled at Alex and tried to diffuse the situation.

Alex smirked at Zora and said. "I also know that you use the Ash Magic to plant traps, Zora Ideale. I have no problem with it as long as it will not cause trouble for our team, okay?"

*Whoosh*

However, before Zora could reply, a wind-piercing sound echoed and a magic bullet appeared close to the crystal in a matter of seconds.

But just before it could touch it, a massive black shadow enveloped the magic crystal swallowing the magic bullet.

"What the..."

"What was that?"

"What just happened?"

The members of the other team seemed startled by watching their attack get nullified so easily.

Not only them but all the spectators and Mimosa and Zora seemed caught by surprise, looking at the magic crystal in shock.

"An attack? When..." Mimosa looked anxious as she looked at the other team in the distance.

Alex grinned and said. "Mimosa, use your magic and protect the crystal. Zora, since you don't like to work, don't cause her trouble. I'll take care of them in the meantime."

He gripped the hilt of the sword and the dark tattoos appeared on the right side of his body, a big black-colored wing splurted out behind him as he dashed towards the other team, charging at them.

His speed was so fast that he covered half the distance in the blink of an eye.

"W-What the heck... He... He is coming!"

Rick Cornell was using his crystal magic to create a scope to look at Alex and his team, sharing their location with his teammates who were responsible for attacking.

He shouted anxiously, but he was too late as a fist appeared in front of his face.

*Boom*

Before he realized what happened, stars were rotating around in front of his eyes as he lay down unconscious.

"Oye, what happened?" Curtis Warren said quickly but he received silence in return.

"Damn, he is coming!" Forte Gris mumbled, scared.

"Who...?" Curtis asked.

"So, this is where you guys are attacking from?"

At this moment, a playful voice echoed from behind them.

Curtis and Forte robotically turned their head and saw Alex standing at the top of their magic crystal with a light smile.

"How...." Custis mumbled, stupefied by his appearance.

Alex smiled and pressed his feet down, shattering their magic crystal without breaking a sweat.

He addressed the two of them. "Not bad. Your team's teamwork is exceptional but you're just too slow."

"I have confirmed the magic power from the crystal!! It's Team B victory!" The announcer exclaimed loudly.

"Woah!... How did he cross such a large distance in the blink of an eye?"

"I don't know..."

"But it's so cool!"

Julius smiled as he gazed at Alex. 'That guy! He finished this battle so quickly! He is way too strong for something like this?'

"Hmm... who is that kid? He was there but in a blink of an eye, he was on the other side... it's amazing!" The King mumbled happily, caressing his mustache.

"You're right, Your Majesty." Julius smiled.
"Asta, you're amazing!!" Mimosa jumped excitedly, hugging his hand.

Alex smirked and shook his head. "Those three have good teamwork but they are not strong enough to make me use my sword, you know."

Mimosa pouted and said. "Hmph, not everyone is as strong as a Magic Knight Captain like you, okay?"

"That was some crazy shit, litt- I mean Asta." Zora wanted to call him 'little brat, but looking at his threatening glare, he changed his tone.

Alex smiled and said. "Not everyone needs a trap to finish your opponent, Zora. In front of absolute strength, everything is useless."

"Haha... you're as strong as ever, Asta."

While the three of them were chatting, Magna and Sol appeared close to them since it was their turn for the battle.

"Ah, Magna and Sol, Good luck to both of you!"

"Hehe... I'll defeat the other team myself. I don't need the help of this Weeglee!" Sol spoke confidently.

Magna was pissed off by her calling him that as a tick mark appeared on his forehead. "Hey, don't give me such a weird short name, okay? It's Magna!"

"Hmm... you both will work fine together. But where is the other guy?" Alex smiled and asked.

At his words, both of them had weird expressions on their faces. And to reply to Alex's question, the man appeared behind Magna and Sol, grumbling.

"...Geez! None of them are from the Noble family..."

Hearing the voice, Mimosa flinched in shock, looking very embarrassed.

"Not beautiful at all!! At the very least, don't taint this Kirsch Vermillion's beauty!"

A young man with long side-parted hair tied back as a braid going across his hairline and a thin band around his head walked over, looking very annoying. He also had two dark hanging earrings and sported the Coral Peacock vest.

He had a very dramatic personality causing Alex's facial muscles to twitch.

Alex glanced at Mimosa who sighed and shrugged her shoulders, replying dejectedly.

"He is my elder brother. I wish he could just disappear..."

Alex patted her head and said with a serious expression. "Mimosa, I'm so proud of you that despite such an annoying brother, you grow into such a beautiful and sensible girl. I can't even fathom what you've had to go through in your childhood because of him..."

Hearing Alex's words royally pissed off Kirsch as he rebuked him to stay away from Mimosa.

But Mimosa with a smile on her face insulted her brother with no mercy which scared even Alex as he had never known that the sweet girl was capable of something like that too.
