Naruto : Hidden Cloud

Shukaku

Temari was feeding Sato some grapes; they were currently chilling in his temporary home.

"Lord Sato, can you tell me why you called Gaara? Do you really have a way to tame the monster inside him?"

Temari suddenly asked, as soon as she knew Gaara was being tortured by the one tail inside him, she wanted to somehow help him.

Sato's promise to help Gaara tame the beast was her hope. She hoped Sato truly had a way to help Gaara.

"Of course I have a way to tame the one-tail. I wouldn't joke about something like this."

Sato assured Temari with a smile: Why wouldn't he help Gaara become stronger? Gaara was a loyal friend; a strong Gaara means a strong thug for Sato.

Sato could use Gaara's strength for himself; it was very cost-effective to help him.

But he couldn't say that to Temari; he had to make up a valid sounding reason.

"I am not doing it for free, Temari. Remember, I am taking a percent of whatever your village gains after it's attack on Konoha."

"Helping Gaara is just a freebie I threw in there."

Sato lied gently, but this was enough to convince Temari.

She was convinced Sato wanted to help them and was simply making excuses to make it seem like a transaction. At least that's what she wanted to think anyway.

He was such a great guy!

"Thank you, my lord."

Temari bowed and thanked Sato in place of her brother. Sato chuckled at another successful manipulation.

"No problem, Temari, no problem at all."

Sato took another bite of a grape after this, and almost like clockwork, the door to Sato's house opened.

"Sister, I am glad you are doing well."

Gaara spoke from the door, it didn't take him much time to visit Sato's residence; Sato lived in the Uchiha compound, it was easy to find him.

"I am here, Sato. What do you want me to do?"

Gaara asked with his hands folded, and Sato, who was eating fruits, stopped after hearing Gaara come in.

"You need to sit straight; I will do the rest, we need to talk to that monster first."

"Show me your seal; I need to touch it to connect our chakras together."

"We will go within your mind, inside the sealing space, and find the one tail there."

Sato pushed up his sleeves and got ready. Gaara nodded and, without hesitation, opened his shirt.

There was a rudimentary sealing jutsu on his belly, Sato and Gaara both sat down face to face.

Just when Sato was about to touch Gaara's seal, Temari spoke up.

"Can I come with you? I also want to see it."

Sato raised his eyebrows but nodded. He gestured lightly with his head.

"Touch my back; I'll take you within the seal. Let's see this big, bad monster."

Temari quickly placed her hand on Sato's back. Soon seconds passed without anything happening, but then suddenly, the world turned dark.

"Grrrrr, who allowed you to come inside?"

Temari opened her eyes wide and stumbled back from shock.

A colossal monster made of sand was glaring at them; his sheer presence made Temari stop breathing.

Shukau's growl gave her such a mental shock that she was about to get kicked out of the seal.

Until Sato and Gaara stepped in front of her, that is, their presence made all the pressure leave her body.

Gaara was cautiously staring at Shukaku, but Sato smiled and raised his hand. He spoke to Shukaku with a smile on his face.

"Good evening. I am Sato Nii. Can we talk for a bit?"

Sato's face had a smile, but Shukaku was angry. What was this guy doing, barging into his home and asking to talk??

"Get out!"

Shukaku growled again, but Sato's smile didn't change. He simply shook his head with a sigh.

"I knew it; you are terrible at listening to others. I really want to talk to you."

"I can still give you a chance; I am good friends with both Matatabi and Gyuki. Let's talk for a bit, Shukaku."

Sato tried once again, although this time Shukaku was silent for a while. He was looking at Sato with narrowed eyes.

"They told you their names as well as mine? I didn't notice it before, but you smell strongly of Matatabi."

"Are you her jinchuriki?"

Shukaku lowered his head and stared at Sato; his massive, starry eyes were checking Sato out.

"I am not Matatabi's jinchuriki; my sister is. It would be better to say I am half Matatabi."

"I am a half-human, half-tailed beast hybrid, at least from a genetic perspective."

Sato explained patiently, but this news left Shukau, Temari, and Gaara stunned. They didn't think Sato was a half-tailed beast.

'The two tails is Sato's parent? Wait, the two-tailed beast is a woman, right? So did Sato's dad.. holy shit!'

Gaara was speechless; as far as he knew, this was the only way Sato could be a half-tailed beast.

"I.. what has Matatabi been doing?! How did she even, How do you even exist??"

Shukau's brain crashed; tailed beasts were not supposed to have genitals; how did Matatabi even give Sato half of her genes?

"Hahaha, what are you guys thinking?"

Sato almost laughed when he understood they were thinking he was Matatabi's child, just because he had half of her genetic material.

He shook his head. He wouldn't tell his secret to them, so he skipped past this topic.

"It's complicated, anyway; I am here to talk about Gaara, not me."

"Shukau, I want you to work with Gaara. He is a good man. He has the potential to be another Bunpuku."

"I know Bunpuku was your first container, and you respect him a lot. Give Gaara a chance, Shukaku."

"Fighting with your host all the time is pointless for both of you."

Sato seriously advised Shukaku, but Shukaku was known as the most uncooperative tailed beast.

Shukaku snorted, his large nostrils blowing air on the three human's faces.

"I refuse; you are a half-tailed beast too, Sato Nii; you should side with me on this."

"Let me out of this prison and we will kill Gaara."

Shukaku said so much, just because Sato was like a nephew. He was awkward, but he was trying to be an understanding uncle.

Both Temari and Gaara became tensed when they heard this; a part of them was wondering if Sato would do what Shukaku said.

Although they didn't need to worry, Shukau's demands were impossible to fulfill for Sato.

"I cannot kill Gaara. What kind of person kills his own friend?"

Sato made up a high-sounding reason; the truth was, Gaara was a better thug than Shukaku. So he preferred Gaara to live.

Temari and Gaara breathed a sigh of relief at this, but Sukaku growled.

"Then we have nothing to talk about. Get lost."

This time, Sato finally stopped smiling and sighed. Cracking his knuckles, he stared at Shukaku.

"You are right; I guess we have nothing to talk about. My fists will do the talking now."

Sato cracked his neck. Fighting inside a sealed space was harder than fighting in the real world, but he was sure he could handle it.

He was equal to the eight tails in actual strength; even if Shukaku had an advantage in Gaara's body, Sato was still going to mess him up.
