Minato spent some time at the orphanage while the children were questioning all sorts of things. Regarding his latest mission, only Madame Gorete was aware of the details, but that didn't stop the children from using their imagination to ask Minato about the possible encounters he might have had on a mission outside the village.

Kushina simply smiled and laughed as Minato was bombarded with questions, with only Madame Gorete appearing to save him. Later, Minato took the boys outside, where some demonstrated what they were learning at the academy since they had enrolled. There were students from all years there; Minato gave some tips on what they could be learning to do better, with everyone nodding and taking his words to heart, after all, Minato was a role model and a great reference for them.

"You really know how to keep them busy..." Madame Gorete said relieved as she watched everyone trying to do something Minato said.

"They never change..." Minato laughed, there were many children who had graduated with him, but were now on the battlefield, he hoped they were doing well.

"I'll talk to that boy..." Kushina spoke next to Minato as she walked over to the boy who was still crying in a corner. She sat next to him and started talking to him; he must have been about 7 years old and was surprised by the girl with red hair approaching.

Minato saw Kushina beginning to talk to him and returned his focus to the children, even those who had not yet entered the academy due to their age, were doing some kind of exercise.

They spent some time on this, until it was lunchtime. Minato noticed that Kushina had even managed to make the boy laugh from a distance, while he was surprised by this, as the boy had finally ended his sadness.

Kushina approached soon after with the child and it was time for them to leave, "Then let's go." Minato spoke to Madame Garote who nodded.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay for lunch?" She asked and Minato shook his head.

"Thank you, but we have to visit someone else." Minato spoke and started looking towards Kushina and nodded for them to leave.

"Goodbye big sister!!" The boy that Kushina had talked to and managed to change his mood shouted to her as he waved his hand.

"Goodbye Kay" Kushina greeted him back.

"Big sister?" Minato raised an eyebrow.

"I think I got a little brother..." Kushina spoke in a cheerful tone.

"That's good... what did you do to cheer him up?" Minato asked curiously.

"I told him that I was going to lose someone close to me too and I knew it was very hard for me, I said I could be his big sister." She spoke cheerfully. "He accepted and laughed at some of my jokes and even my catchphrase, Dattebane!" She laughed.

"That's good..." Minato nodded and they continued on their way to Ramen Ichiraku.

They had lunch together there, and once they finished, they continued on their way to Guy's house to see how his mother and the boy were doing.

They approached another remote corner of the village at a small house built on a vacant lot.

"Who lives here...?" Kushina asked curiously, she didn't know much about Duy.

"My godson..." Minato said, surprising Kushina with this revelation.

"What?! You have a godson?!" She asked surprised as they approached and saw a boy grumbling on the side of the house.

"49, 50, 51..." He was doing push-ups while his arms trembled.

"Guy?" Minato was surprised to see Guy there doing push-ups.

"Minato!" He exclaimed and almost fell, while he remained focused on doing the push-ups.

"Sorry, Minato, I must finish this, after all I made a promise if I do 100 push-ups, my mother will be well!" He exclaimed with effort as he reached number 60.

"Your mother? What happened to her?" Minato seemed worried.

"61... She's..."

"62... Bad off today..."

"63... I don't know what happened... Hm?!" He grumbled as he strained with each push-up, but on the last one, he lost his strength and fell to the ground.

"Damn... I didn't manage to fulfill my promise! She won't get well!" He started to cry.

"Calm down Guy, tell me what's happening here." Minato exclaimed to the crying boy, not understanding the logic he has to say that his mother will be cured with him doing push-ups.

Kushina also looked quite lost there, but did not speak up.

"She became ill a few days ago..." he said.

"How is she, did you use the money I gave you?" Minato asked, wanting to know what the doctors had told the boy, already sensing that the woman was bedridden, wondering why she hadn't been taken to a hospital.

"I used it to buy medicine, but no one came to see her..." he spoke in a sad tone.

"Why didn't anyone come to see her?" Minato exclaimed, infuriated by this.

"I went to the hospital to ask for help... but they said I couldn't afford a room... when they saw my surname..." he said, after all, his father was known to be low-ranking, who performed very simple missions and spent most of his time training, many considered him lazy.

"Damn..." Minato was angry, after all, there was no one to take care of them while he was away.

"Minato..." Kushina was surprised by Minato's anger, as it was rare for him to show it.

"Let's see her." Minato requested after taking a deep breath, and Guy decided to take them to his house while he wiped his tears.

They entered the house and the little boy led them to the bed where a woman lay with a cloth on her forehead... She was not doing well at all.

"Her fever is high... how could they leave her like this?" Minato commented and looked at Guy...

"No one wanted to come see her or take her to the hospital... I spent all the money on medicine..." Guy said.

Minato stopped looking at the woman struggling to breathe while asleep, he looked at the medicine and was slightly surprised. "You spent all that money on this...?" he asked.

"Yes... I just asked for medicines that would make my mother well... the man was very happy and gave me a box of medicine..." Guy recalled from his visit to the market.

"That bastard... He cheated you!" Minato growled again, seeing that the man had given basic medicine to the child when it was worth thousands of times less than the money Minato had given to both.

"This..." Even Kushina couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"I need her to have a doctor, Kushina, I need your help or the Senju clan's." Minato said seriously to the girl who nodded.

"I can talk to Mito." She said.

"Great, stay here and take care of your mother." Minato spoke quickly before grabbing Kushina's arm and disappearing the next moment, reappearing near the Senju clan as he had a seal there.

They immediately entered the place and Mito was already waiting for them in the main house, curious about their visit.

"I understand..." She listened to their problem and seemed quite thoughtful.

"Cat." She spoke and a ninja appeared at her side with a Cat mask, from the Anbu.

"I need you to bring a doctor for this young man and accompany him to the house of the woman he mentioned, check her condition and arrange a room in the hospital, the Senju clan will cover the total cost." She said, and the Anbu disappeared, a ninja who hovered around her during the day to be exclusively at her service.

"I can pay for any cost." Minato said.

"I know, but let this old woman do you this favor, another thing, I heard about your adventures yesterday with Kushina, it seems quite interesting..." She spoke while Kushina was embarrassed for having told this to Mito.

Minato wasn't angry about this, after all, he knew that Mito was already aware of him using the Raijin and how she felt Kushina's disappearance, she quickly connected the dots.

Then she continued. "I would like if you could fulfill this old woman's wish, I'd like to see the sea one last time in this life, I would ask to see my clan, but that's not possible, maybe going to the south coast as you did with Kushina would be quite interesting, maybe I can meet that fish that Kushina said talks and is your friend." She said, after all, Minato was an opportunity for her to leave the village after decades being confined there.

"Yes, I can do that easily, Mito-sama." Minato said, he didn't even need her doing him a favor, he would do it easily at any time she asked.

"That's good, can you do that tomorrow?" She asked and he nodded.

A moment later, the same Anbu returned and a woman dressed in white came with him. "I brought her, Mito-sama," the Anbu said.

"Great, accompany this young man and see the woman," she instructed the medical woman.

"Yes," she replied and looked at Minato.

"Come with me," Minato said and jumped onto the rooftops with Kushina and the doctor following closely behind.

They arrived at Duy's house, where Guy was still crying in front of his mother on the bed...

The doctor examined her and pressed her chest while releasing green chakra. After a while, she relaxed her furrowed brow and turned back to Minato. "Based on the symptoms described and the rapid deterioration over a few days, this woman has septic shock. This condition typically results from an infection that spreads rapidly and affects the body’s response, leading to severe symptoms like high fever, difficulty breathing, and low blood pressure, which can lead to organ failure and other critical conditions if not treated promptly," she explained while Guy looked on in despair.

"She's not going to die, is she?" he asked in a frightened tone.

The woman was surprised by the boy's outburst, but Minato knew her condition was very serious. "Treatment for septic shock requires intensive care, which she needs a hospital room for urgently. I can improve her condition a bit before taking her to the hospital," she informed.

"Do whatever is necessary," Minato said.

The woman nodded and began to release healing chakra, slightly improving the woman's condition, while Guy looked distressed.

"I'll take her now. I can't receive visitors today with her condition, but starting tomorrow, you can go to the main hospital in Konoha," she informed as she began to carry the woman away in a state with much better breathing.

"Mom!" Guy exclaimed as he saw his mother being taken away and Minato touched his shoulder.

"She'll be well now... and you can't stay here alone," Minato spoke to the little Guy and looked at Kushina, "Can I leave him with you? I'll be going to war and his mother doesn't seem like she'll be well anytime soon," he said and Kushina nodded.

"Yes, he can stay at the Senju residence, there are many free places there. It wouldn't be bad to have another younger brother," she said with a small smile to Guy, since Minato was his godfather, she thought that made her his godmother too.

Minato nodded at Kushina's confirmation and they began to leave with the boy as they locked up the house, Guy still seemed distressed, but Minato said he would give him special training to become strong and he seemed to perk up at the idea of moving to a new place with strangers.

As they were starting to leave, an Anbu appeared in front of Minato. Guy was scared, while Minato and Kushina had already sensed the Anbu's presence.

"Minato Namikaze... The Hokage requires your presence tomorrow at his office," he informed and Minato nodded, already anticipating that this moment would come while he was in Konoha.

After that, the Anbu left and they went to the Senju residence to accommodate little Guy.
