Ben thought, was there a basement there. He did not see it. He will have to check it out. 

At that moment, Tashigi and Hina approached Ben. “Hi both, coming to check out the restaurant?” Ben greeted. He saw Tashigi with Shichiseiken by her waist. It suited her, he thought. 

“You are a pirate,” Tashigi replied. She had a serious face. 

“And?” Ben asked. 

“This is purchased through illicit means,” she replied. 

“You know you look very cute when you are serious,” Ben responded. 

Tashigi blushed. “Take this seriously,” she added. 

Ben approached her and smiled. “I am,” he added. 

Tashigi looked down and smiled. Hina cleared her throat. “How can I forget the other marine beauty,” Ben said. 

“Hina thinks you are a flirt,” Hina said.

“Only for the beautiful ones,” Ben replied. “I want you both to join my crew,” he added

“Never,” Tashigi replied. 

Hina stayed silent. “Hina needs to tell Ben something,” Hina said. 

Ben saw she looked serious. He looked at Hina. “The Willy Pirates and Jellyfish are gone,” Hina said.

“What do you mean gone?” Ben asked. 

“We had captured them and tied them up. As they were being transported to the Dojo, the Marines were attacked by someone wearing masks,” Tashigi replied. 

“They pursued them however they escaped in a ship,” Hina added.

Ben sighed. “Well, they are going to be annoying,” Ben replied. He thought they were going to show up again for sure and cause problems. 

“We will track them down,” Tashigi said. 

“We can deal with them when time comes,” Ben said. He added, “Why don't you enjoy the restaurant today?” Ben asked. 

They both looked unsure but agreed. Ben saw them walk inside. Hina kept thinking about whether it was the right decision to join or not. Tashigi thought her first kiss was gone to a pirate. 

Ben saw Maya talking to her grandma. As he walked towards there, he saw Izaya leaving. “Hi Maya,” Ben greeted. 

“Hello Captain,” Maya replied. She looked down. 

“Ben, call me Ben,” Ben replied. 

Maya looked down. “Thank you Ben,” she replied. She muttered, captain under her breath. 

“Thank you for joining us,” Ben said. 

“No thank you for saving the village,” Maya responded.

“It's the least I can do for a crewmate,” Ben said.

“How did you know I was going to join?” Maya asked.

“I had a feeling,” Ben replied. 

Maya looked up at him and thought how he was so sure but she was glad she took the opportunity. 

“Btw, I have something for you,” Ben said.

Ben held out his hand, and a bright light appeared, causing Maya to look away briefly. When she turned back, a devil fruit materialized in his palm. She stared at it in awe.

"I want you to have this," Ben said, extending the fruit towards her.

Maya's eyes widened. "Is that... a devil fruit?" she asked. 

"Yes, it is," Ben confirmed. "And I think it will be perfect for you," he added

"Captain, I can't accept such a valuable item," Maya protested, shaking her head.

Ben's expression softened. "You joined my crew, Maya. Your safety and happiness are my top priorities. I think you can do great things in the future, and this power will keep you safe and help us in our adventures together," he stated. 

Maya's heart was in turmoil. Accepting such a gift felt wrong but she looked at her Captain and nodded. "Okay, I'll accept it, Captain,” she firmly said. 

With trembling hands, Maya took the fruit and hesitated before taking a bite. Her face contorted in disgust. "It's awful," she managed to say. 

Ben chuckled. "I forgot to mention that part. Feel any different?" he asked. 

Maya shook her head. "Not really,” she replied. 

Ben smiled. "It can take a while, but we'll figure it out together," he said. Ben looked at her. She had pretty eyes and a beautiful smile. 

“Is there something on my face Captain?” Maya asked.

“Just your pretty face,” Ben replied. Maya blushed. 

“Also, do you know about the basement in the restaurant?” Ben asked.

Maya thought for a second. “I don't remember seeing one in the blueprint,” she replied.

“Well, we can have a look, there might be something special,” Ben replied. Maya nodded. They both entered the restaurant and saw it was still busy. Ben and Maya were heading towards the kitchen when they spotted a door. 

"This wasn't here before," Ben observed.

"No, it definitely wasn't," Maya agreed, her voice tinged with equal parts confusion and intrigue. She thought this was the adventure that they talked about yesterday during the girls`s talk.

Ben opened the newly appeared door, revealing a flight of stairs descending down. The air felt cooler as they made their way down. At the bottom, another door awaited them, marked with the letter "D" at the top.

"How did this get here?" Maya asked, her eyes wide with wonder.

Ben shook his head, deep in thought. "I'm not sure. Maybe it's part of my fruit's powers," he replied. 

He reached out and touched the handle. With a steady push, he opened the door. Inside, they were greeted by the sight of a circular object, connected by a web of wires to a computer. The device hummed softly.

"A portal," Ben said.

Maya stepped closer, examining the setup. "What is this?” she asked.

Ben replied, “It is a portal that connects two places together, allowing for instant transport.”

Maya looked at it. “Such a thing exists,” she remarked. She started to pray thanking the gods. 

[There is a portal already on the Miss Love Duck. This will allow you to transport between this place and the Miss Love Duck. Build more via the blueprints or unlock them as part of the quest. The Quest will always adjust depending on the location or if one is already being built.]

Ben agreed. “Alright, we can take this portal to the Miss Love Duck,” Ben remarked. He walked to the computer and saw the panel. It had “Miss Love Duck,” written. Ben clicked the big green button and the portal activated. 

“Wow,” Maya said. 

Ben walked back to Maya and offered his hand. “Let's try it,” Ben said with a smile on his face. 

Maya nodded and accepted his hand. They both walked to the Portal and entered. There was a buzz of light and they suddenly found themself on a ship. Ben looked around and confirmed it was the Miss Love Duck. 

He opened the door and saw Alvida and HQ talking. “Hi both,” Ben said.
