Chapter 347: The Seatrain

Meanwhile on the Going Merry, Luffy was sitting on the railing looking outwards to the ocean. He looked behind him and saw a slender young woman with dark blue hair, blue eyes, and a long pointed nose. She wore a pink jumpsuit with extremely puffed pant legs. “You are so cute,” the woman said.

“I am Porche,” Chopper responded. He started to sway his hips left and right, looking very happy. Chopper added, “Get off.”

Luffy looked and smiled. He thought they were getting along. He thought back to the Foxy games, fighting for his crew member mates. Usopp and Chopper both were on the line. He could not lose them. In the end, he boxed Foxy out of the ring, winning his crew and Porche. Luffy said she could go back, however she declined strangely looking at Chopper and decided to join the crew. Luffy accepted.

“Porche, you should let him breath,” Usopp said.

Luffy looked back to the ocean and saw a giant frog with yellow-brown skin and black hair. He has numerous scars on his belly. The frog had sharp, jagged teeth. Luffy's eyes widened. “There is a frog doing the front crawl,” he shouted.

Usopp shook his head. “That is ridiculous, Luffy,” Usopp commented. He then saw the frog. “The frog is doing a front crawl,” Usopp shouted.

Zoro came rushing out of the Going Merry. “A frog is doing a front crawl,” Zoro shouted.

Nami held her binoculars up and looked at the frog. She then looked around and saw a large white lighthouse. There was a small house next to it. “Why is there a lighthouse in the middle of nowhere?” she muttered to herself.

She looked at Porche who was still hugging Chopper and sighed. She thought at least there was another girl on the crew. She thought of Ben, he had pretty much all girls on his crew including his sister. She thought, pervert.

“Lets get that frog,” Luffy shouted.

They all nodded and got giant oars and started to row. They followed the large toad when they suddenly hit something and the Going Merry abruptly stopped. “Did we hit the shore?” Usopp asked.

“That is not possible,” Nami replied.

“What is that sound?” Chopper asked. They heard the sound of metal rolling and colliding with steel. There was a loud pitch noise and grumbling.

“It is coming from over there,” Sanji replied. They looked to see a grey iron body fitted with brass fittings. It had a massive, cylindrical boiler extended forward and a rugged, triangular grate at the front. In front of the boiler sported a large, round headlight, Two prominent, vertical steam pipes rose behind the headlight. High above, the train's smokestack stood tall and proud. The front wheels, partially visible beneath the train's broad, steel-clad front.

“Row!” Nami shouted, her voice carrying over the chaotic scene.

“We're going to die!” Porche screamed.

Luffy and Zoro grabbed one of the oars, while Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper took hold of the other. They began to row with all their might, their muscles straining as they fought against the impending doom. The Going Merry veered off the collision course, narrowly avoiding the larger ship.

As the immediate danger passed, they felt the rush of air whip past them. Everyone clung to whatever they could find, their hearts pounding in their chests.

“That was close,” Nami commented, her voice shaky with relief.

“Shishishi!” Luffy laughed.

“This is not a laughing matter!” the rest of the crew chorused, glaring at their captain.

“What was that?” Zoro asked.

“A ship?” Usopp echoed, squinting to see more clearly.

“Not in that shape,” Nami added.

“Do you think it's a ghost ship?” Chopper asked, his voice trembling as he clung to Usopp.

They looked to see the frog in the path of the mysterious iron vehicle. “Get out of the way, frog,” Luffy shouted.

The iron vehicle went racing towards the frog at full speed. The frog bounced on the spot. He looked determined and shouted. The train hit the frog and went flying in the air.

“It got hit,” Luffy observed.

They all looked in shock at the scene. At that moment, a little girl came out of the building. “Grandma, there are pirates,” she said, a young and vibrant girl. She had green hair in braided pigtails that stood upward, and had puffy at the end. She wore sandals and a short white shirt over a striped dress, of orange and red stripes.

“They are Chimney? Let me get the transponder,” an older woman replied as she fell over and laughed. She had a large smile on her face. Her body was overweight. She wore a train driver. Her hair was green and she had large eyes.

She picked up the transponder and laughed. “She is drunk,” Nami and Porche said together.

The Strawhats disembarked the Going Merry. “We are not here to steal,” Sanji commented.

“Yes, I am Monkey D Luffy who will be the King of Pirates,” Luffy introduced himself.

“Don't say that casually,” Nami said.

“Grandma Kokoro, they are strange,” Chimney observed.

“They are friendly and funny,” Kokoro replied, drinking a bottle down.

“So what is that?” Usopp asked.

“It's a seatrain,” Kokoro responded.

“They exist?” Zoro asked.

“Sure, do and they come everyday on the seatracks,” Kokoro replied.

“What about the big frog guy?” Luffy asked.

“You mean Yokozuna, he will be fine,” Chimney responded.

“That frog is always causing trouble, breaking the train`s guard, causing the passenger trouble,” Kokoro added.

“He does it everyday,” Chimney said.

“Wow a fighter, I will not eat him now,” Luffy said.

“You should not be eating him,” Nami said.

“He is strange,” Porche added.

“So where are you heading to?” Kokoro asked.

“To the east of here,” Nami replied, pointing to the Log Pose.

“So Water 7,” Kokoro said. She added, “The place where the best shipwrights are there.”

“That sounds amazing,” Luffy said.

“The Merry needs some repairs,” Usopp said.

Kokoro smiled. She got up and went inside the building. She then returned with a piece of paper. “Here take this, and give it to Iceberg and he will see your ship,” she added.

“Wow, thanks,” Luffy replied.

Kokoro laughed. “I will treat you at the bar, if I see you there,” Kokoro replied.

“I will take you up on that,” Zoro said.

“Okay, let's head to Water 7 for the Going Merry,” Luffy said.

They all nodded. The Strawhats boarded the Going Merry. “Bye,” Chimney said.

The Strawhats waved back as they left. “They are an interesting bunch, Grandma,” Chimney said.

“They are,” Kokoro replied as she drank another bottle down.
