Chapter 389: Barricade vs Marianne

Marianne looked at Barricade. There were two blue gorillas behind her. She had seen how everyone took out the Gorillas outside. They were strong, she thought.

“You are here to save Robin but you are going to need the keys which CP9 has for her cuffs. If you don't get those keys she will be useless for life,” Barricade said.

“Who has the keys?” Marianne asked. She knew Ben said Kaku but she thought of confirming.

“I don't know that but I have the keys to that prison cell,” Barricade responded.

“Who is in that prison cell?” Marianne asked.

“Jewelry Bonney,” Barricade replied.

“Bonney?” Marianne muttered.

“How do you know we had kept her here,” Barricade said. He added, “It is top secret.”

Marianne thought he was an idiot. She thought they did save Bonney before and she hurt Ben but he was not too upset. She thought Bonney would be useful here. “Give me the key please,” Marianne requested.

“I have been tasked to defend the cell,” Barricade replied. “You will be joining her,” he added as he pulled his sword out.

The Gorilla behind him started to move forward. Marianne took out the paint pallet. She dipped the paint brush in both the yellow and green paint. “Yellow-Green of Friendship,” Marianne said as she threw the paint on the two Blue Gorilla stomachs.

The Blue Gorilla stopped. “Help me take out that bad man who has kidnapped my friend. He has a key,” she ordered.

“They will not listen to you. They only take orders from us Marines,” he said. The Blue Gorilla both turned around. They had a double sided axe in their hands. Barricade thought there was something wrong.

The Blue Gorilla roared as he swung his massive axe downward. Barricade barely had time to react, raising his sword just in time to block. The impact sent a shockwave through his arms, and his feet dug into the ground as he absorbed the force.

"What is wrong with you?!" Barricade growled through gritted teeth.

Before he could catch his breath, the second Blue Gorilla charged at him from the side. Barricade’s eyes widened, and with a powerful shove, he pushed the first Gorilla back, freeing his sword. He brought his blade up just in time to meet the second Gorilla’s incoming attack.

The clash of steel against steel rang out as Barricade's sword met the second Gorilla's axe. Sparks flew as their weapons collided. “You as well,” he said. He twisted his body, deflecting the second Gorilla's attack and forcing it to stagger back.

He then launched a counterattack, swinging his sword in a wide arc aimed at the first Gorilla. The first Gorilla raised its axe to block, but Barricade’s strike sliced through the handle of the axe and sent the broken weapon clattering to the ground.

Marianne took her Axe Dial out and pressed a button. A X-shaped compressed air blast went towards Barricade. Barricade got hit with a compressed air blast on the chest. He felt his clothes rip as he got cut. Blood left his wound. He stumbled back into the path of the second Gorilla who used his axe and hit him.

Barricade was lifted from his feet and went flying into the wall where he crashed. Blood was leaking from his head. His back was in pain. “As a Marine, I will not lose,” Barricade said, getting back up on his feet. He wobbled.

He held his sword with both hands. He looked in front to see a short girl with two towering giant beasts next to her. He thought out loud, “Why are they listening to her?”

“Give me the key,” Marianne demanded.

“Never,” Barricade shouted.

“He is still being mean, Gorilla please help,” Marianne pleaded. The Gorillas nodded and rushed towards Barricade.

Barricade saw them coming. “Steel Wall Smash,” Barricade said as he rushed forward with his sword. He swung his sword at the Gorilla holding the axe. He sliced the Gorilla on his round stomach. The Gorilla groaned in pain as he stumbled backwards.

The other Gorilla swung his fist and tried to punch Barricade. Barricade saw this and blocked the attack. He got pushed back by the force of the punch.

At that moment Marianne aimed her Yellow Gun. She pressed the trigger and a dice shaped bullet went towards Barricade. It hit him and there was an explosion which sent Barricade flying back. He landed on his feet. His skin was burnt marks. He was panting. There was blood on his face.

He looked to see the Gorilla back on his feet next to Marianne. The other Gorilla was next to him. His feet were wobbling. “I will never give you that key,” Barricade said as he ran towards Marianne.

“Stay here,” Marianne said as she ran towards Barricade.

“Unyielding Bastion,” Barricade said as he put all his energy into his sword. He lifted his sword up and delivered a massive, two-handed overhead strike towards Marianne.

Marianne put the Impact Dial up and it blocked the attack. The entire attack and shockwave got absorbed by the dial. Barricade saw the device. He looked surprised.

“Impact Dial,” Marianne said as she pressed the button. The force sword hitting was released back as a shockwave. Barricade got hit as he was thrown back. He hit the wall and collapsed to the ground.

Marianne walked and saw his unconscious body. She took the keys from his pocket and walked over to the cell which he pointed at. She turned the key and saw a pink haired girl in handcuffs. “I will kill you all,” she screamed.

“I am here to get you out,” Marianne said.

Bonney got up and walked over. The handcuffs were at the front. “You are part of that Love Pirates,” Bonney said. “What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Saving a friend, our crew mate,” Marianne replied.

“You are not the smartest coming here,” Bonney replied. “Do you have the keys to the sea prism cuffs?” Bonney asked.

“No but we are getting them,” Marianne said. She had faith in her crew.

“I overheard that CP9 has the key to this,” Bonney added. “When they were dragging me here. I can't believe I got caught,” she remarked.

Marianne got the Den Den Mushi from her pocket. “Everyone, I found Bonney locked here, we need the key to her sea prism stone as well. CP9 has it,” she reported.
