“Oops! I Prepped for the Apocalypse and Became a Zombie”

Chapter 9: Gobbling Up Canned Goods

"Ahhh! Qin-ge! Am I seeing things? A batch of canned goods just vanished!" Chen Xiaofei screamed.

Bai Shu rubbed his eyes repeatedly, then exclaimed as his worldview shattered, "How can a zombie have abilities?! It's only the early stages of the apocalypse!"

The apocalypse survival manual didn't mention this at all. What's going on?

Qin Luo was also startled, alternating between looking down at Xu Duoduo and glancing at the now empty space. "Xiao Bai, Xiao Fei, you two go check. Are they really gone? Or is it some kind of illusion ability?"

His voice was tense. After all, spatial abilities were extremely precious.

Xu Duoduo sighed helplessly, patiently waiting as Bai Shu and Chen Xiaofei went to investigate. They even walked to where the cans had been, moving freely through the space. The canned goods were indeed stored away.

To demonstrate her skill, after the two left, she directly performed several actions of releasing and storing, leaving the three of them dumbfounded.

Finally, Qin Luo covered his face, both incredulous and somewhat delighted, "Okay, okay, we get it. We understand your ability now. You can stop demonstrating."

Only then did Xu Duoduo stop reaching out, instead steadily continuing to cling to Qin Luo's neck. Her thoughts were simple now: she was clumsy, and with Qin Luo as a mobile tool, she naturally wanted to hold on tight.

Chen Xiaofei was still questioning reality, "Heavens, this isn't a dream, right? My goodness, so many supplies. The little class monitor's space isn't small at all!"

He belatedly said this, then suddenly remembered something and quickly covered his mouth, lowering his voice, "We should keep this a secret for her, right?"

Qin Luo gave him a "obviously" look, "Are you stupid enough to tell anyone about this?"

Chen Xiaofei hurriedly shook his head.

Bai Shu was calmer now, "The most important thing now is to figure out how big the little class monitor's space is, and exactly how much it can hold."

Chen Xiaofei's eyes also lit up, staring intently at Xu Duoduo.

Xu Duoduo leaned closer to Qin Luo, a bit dazzled by Chen Xiaofei's titanium-alloy dog eyes. But she also wanted to collect supplies; otherwise, what was the point of having this space? She needed to have some value for them to be willing to keep her around. Plus, she knew them well; their character was beyond reproach.

After all, they had been classmates for three years.

Xu Duoduo pointed to another pile of canned goods, patting Qin Luo's shoulder to indicate he should go over.

With his long legs, Qin Luo took just a few strides to get there. Then came the moment of witnessing a miracle. The little zombie in his arms would point to a spot, and he would obediently move there, eventually collecting pile after pile.

Chen Xiaofei's expression changed from delight to surprise, then to shock, and finally to numbness.

Bai Shu almost burned out his CPU from extreme joy. He tried to push up his non-existent glasses again, finally putting his hand in his pocket and saying, "We're set now!"

The little class monitor was like a mobile giant warehouse! They could collect so many supplies!

How could they not be thrilled?

Chen Xiaofei shed tears of excitement, "We'll never have to beg for scraps of supplies again!" Direct zero-yuan shopping!

Bai Shu was thinking about the gasoline they'd encountered on their journey. That was the key resource, along with medicines from hospitals and pharmacies.

These things were still very necessary in the early stages of the apocalypse and could be put to great use.

Meanwhile, Qin Luo was wandering around with Xu Duoduo, collecting as they went, occasionally muttering, "Are you still okay? Don't force yourself if you can't take more. Your brain is already deteriorating from the zombie virus, don't overexert yourself. We don't want you turning into a real little idiot."

Xu Duoduo gave him an exasperated glance, but still patted his shoulder to indicate he should continue walking.

Seeing her little glance and gesture, Qin Luo couldn't help but laugh. For some reason, he was quite happy to discover she still had human consciousness.

"I never thought I'd run into you. We lost touch after graduation. How have you been?"

Xu Duoduo paused when she heard this, pressing her lips together without a sound. After graduating from junior high, they had scattered like dandelion seeds, each going their separate ways.

She had actually been doing quite well afterwards, busy studying, studying, and studying.

If she could speak, she would have liked to ask him how he'd been doing. How did he suddenly end up in the military, along with Bai Shu and the others?

Unfortunately, she couldn't speak. Opening her mouth to make baby noises would be too embarrassing.

Xu Duoduo refused to do that!

So she kept quiet, quickly storing various canned goods into her space. The small spaces within her multi-faceted cube space were gradually being filled.

Qin Luo didn't seem to need her to answer, muttering a couple of sentences to himself. For the rest of the time, he just carried her around, walking and walking, while she collected and collected, completely emptying the warehouse of supplies.

The entire large warehouse became so empty that there was an echo when they spoke.

Chen Xiaofei was thoroughly satisfied, thrilled at the thought that all these supplies belonged to their small team! He then went to help scout another warehouse.

This made it convenient for Qin Luo and Xu Duoduo to collect supplies. It's worth noting that the canned food factory here was very clean, so collecting the cans was effortless.

Just as they reached the second warehouse, a rumbling thunder sounded from ahead.

It felt like the ground was shaking.

Xu Duoduo looked up. In the distance, dark clouds covered the sky, so thick it was frightening. Lightning kept flashing within the clouds, striking down the next moment.

Then the thunder exploded right by their ears.

Suddenly, a large hand touched the back of her head, pressing her head against his chest and covering one of her ears. "Don't listen, be careful not to go deaf," Qin Luo said with that annoying mouth of his! Really!

Xu Duoduo sighed regretfully. Such a good-looking face, so handsome and dashing, but he just had to open his mouth and ruin the atmosphere.

Seeing the thunderstorm ahead, Bai Shu immediately checked his watch, took out a tablet from his storage space card, and started taking photos of the front. Then he uploaded the data to the headquarters database.

"These thunderstorms are getting worse each time. Goodness, the lightning protection measures in this factory are quite good. Let's hope they can withstand it later."

Chen Xiaofei also looked out, then went to help Qin Luo and Xu Duoduo keep watch.

Although they had cleared the zombies from the factory area, they were wary of the occasional straggler or other mutated animals.

Their small team of four, despite their usual joking around, never slacked off when it came to serious matters. When it was time to be serious, they were more serious than anyone.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly afterwards.

Xu Duoduo's space was so enormous that collecting from three large warehouses seemed effortless. This amount of supplies barely made a ripple in the space within her consciousness sea.

Bai Shu saw the thunderstorm area approaching and called out urgently: "It's coming fast! Qin Luo, you two hurry up! Let's go to the factory area to take shelter first!"
