Pirates: Check In From Mariejo

Chapter 104: Meeting Sanji By Chance

"Every time I see the Sabaody Archipelago, I feel so beautiful!" Levi exclaimed as he looked at the colorful bubbles of Madara in front of him.

He had been to many places, and only Big Mom's Cake Island could compare with the Sabaody Archipelago. But the Kingdom of Tollant looked dreamy, although it was all made by Big Mom using Devil Fruit. Despite its dreamy appearance, its craftsmanship was too heavy, far inferior to the ethereal spirit of the Sabaody Archipelago.

"Levi, I'm here, I'm here..." Hancock hesitated to approach Levi.

"What's wrong, Hancock?" Levi asked. Hancock had been greatly affected on Cake Island. After her battle with Smoothie, she spent the whole day practicing in seclusion in the lounge, looking very worried.

"Mother-in-law Gloriosa sent me a message, saying that I would become a Shichibukai," Hancock finally confided in Levi about the problem that had been bothering her for a long time.

From a personal point of view, she didn't want to be a Shichibukai at all. She was a pirate, and being suddenly asked to obey the management of the Marines, and even the commands of the Celestial Dragons, disgusted her.

But Gloriosa, her mother-in-law, told her that the Marines had developed technology that allowed warships to safely pass through the Calm Belt. Although she didn't elaborate further, Hancock understood what she meant. The Calm Belt, originally a natural barrier, was no longer an obstacle. The Marines might have the ability to pass through the Calm Belt and attack the Kuja.

"Then just become a Shichibukai," Levi smiled and touched Hancock's smooth cheek.

"But..." Hancock was in a dilemma.

Hancock's political awareness was so low that Levi couldn't help but find it amusing, so he explained to Hancock what being a Shichibukai entailed.

Shichibukai nominally obeyed the Marines' orders, but essentially, they still belonged to pirates and could obey orders but not be subordinated.

"Then a Shichibukai it is, I agree," Hancock said, transitioning from worry to joy.

"It just so happens to be not far away, I'll take you to Nine Snakes!"

So they set sail again and headed straight for Nine Snake Island.

"Is that Sister Hancock?"

Before Levi and the others could proceed, they heard someone shouting from the other side of the Calm Belt. Levi took a closer look and saw that it was Hancock's sister, Sandersonia.

"Sister, Grandma Gloriosa asked me to wait for you here," Sandersonia said, also looking very happy.

"Sister, the Marine Vice Admiral is already waiting at Kuja Island. My mother-in-law said," Sandersonia paused and said, "My mother-in-law said that Lord Levi is not suitable to meet the Marines."

"Levi is my consort, why can't he meet the Marines?" Hancock immediately exploded. "This Shichibukai isn't my consort; let that old bone handle it himself!"

So everyone on Nine Snakes began to comfort Hancock again.

"Hancock, just calm down! I'll come find you once I'm finished."

So, under Hancock's reluctant gaze, Levi's ship drifted away.

"Boss, someone seems to be calling for help!" Granu gently pulled on Levi's sleeve and said to him.

"Granu, you must have misheard; I didn't hear anyone calling for help."

Levi smiled and touched Sugar's short hair. Sugar's body hadn't grown since she ate the Childlike Fruit, and her mind hadn't changed significantly. Perhaps this was a side effect of the Childlike Fruit.

"Boss, if you listen carefully again, I really heard the voice of a child," Sugar persisted.

"There are no children. How could there be children asking for help at sea?"

Levi scoffed at Granu's statement, but he couldn't resist Granu, so he used Observation Haki to sense it. To his surprise, this perception revealed that there were indeed two people.

"There really are people."

Levi was quite surprised and realized that the route they were taking had greatly deviated from the normal path. Under normal circumstances, no one would come here at all.

"Boss, you've been proven wrong; are you embarrassed?"

Perona floated around in the air, teasing Levi.

What Levi found was a big man and a child. The big man was disabled, and Levi didn't know how they had ended up here.

"Hey, save us!"

The child continued to wave his arms. If it weren't for Levi's powerful Observation Haki, most people wouldn't have been able to locate them at all.

"Sanji, don't waste your energy. No one can hear you from this far away," the big man weakly said to the child.

"Sanji? Isn't the other one Tetsuo?" Levi was also surprised. He hadn't expected to encounter Tetsuo and Sanji in such a vast sea.

Since they had encountered each other, Levi decided to head toward the desert island where they were stranded.

"If I had known, I would have brought a bag of food. What's the use of holding a bag of gold and silver treasures on this desert island now? If I can survive this, I'll definitely return to East Blue and open a restaurant. Just imagining having enough to eat every day feels so pleasant."

Zhefu looked at his bag of gold and silver and smiled bitterly.

"Old man, that ship is coming! That ship is coming!" Sanji shouted excitedly to Zhefu.

"Really coming!"

Zhefu couldn't help but burst into tears. Tetsuo decided that he would leave the island even if the ship demanded all his treasure in return.

"Wow, this boat is so beautiful!" Sanji exclaimed.

"Of course, a ship made of gold is beautiful," Tetsuo agreed. As a pirate who had been operating in the Grand Line for a year, he naturally recognized a ship owned by a big shot.

"Zhefu, why is it you?"

Breed was surprised. He had encountered Tetsuo when he was still in East Blue, but he never expected to see him in the Grand Line.

"Who are you, Breed? Why are you on this ship? Weren't you ambushed by the pirate hunter Eric?"

Zeff was also surprised. He and Breed had become friends for a special reason. Before he came to the Grand Line, he had heard that Breed was kidnapped by Cyclone Eric. He never expected to see him again in the Grand Line. And looking at this guy dressed in gold and silver, he was obviously living a good life.

"How is that possible? I'm now a member of the Jiwei Pirates," Breed said proudly.

"Zeff thanks Levi for saving his life," Zeff hurriedly saluted Levi.
