Pirates: Check In From Mariejo

Chapter 107: The Heart Pirates

Early the next morning, all of Levi's crew members began to take action.

Enel drove Proverbs towards Angel Island, and Tezzolo piloted a gold ship leading a group of Lolitas towards the Island of Machines. Girls in this world are very peculiar; they don't fancy Barbie dolls but have an affinity for steel. Behemoth, they heard, boasted advanced technology, and they were all eager to visit.

Due to Baby 5's cute and somewhat naive nature, Levi feared she might be lured into becoming a bride on this island. Perhaps, upon seeing Baby 5 again, her child might also be similarly influenced.

Hence, Levi instructed Breed and Monet to accompany Baby 5. With Breed's pragmatism and Monet's astuteness, they should be capable of ensuring Baby 5's safety.

"Alright, Luo, come with me to North Blue!"

So Levi and Luo mounted Zeus and set off towards North Blue.

"Levi, this journey will be quite lengthy. You owe me ten, no, a hundred sumptuous meals of thunder and lightning." Zeus's voice echoed from the sky.

Observing Zeus effortlessly navigating regardless of the terrain, Levi pondered whether he should commission a few more airships. Flying through the skies was undeniably swifter than sailing the seas.

Zeus, with his insatiable appetite, proved to be a true gourmand. Utilizing Levi's boundless lightning, he transported Levi and Luo to North Blue by nightfall.

"Hey, Levi, it's evening already. It's time for dinner. I'm craving that delectable thunder." As dusk descended, the voracious Zeus began to voice his hunger.

"Boss, I recall there's an island called Swallow not far ahead. It's rather bustling. Let's spend the night there!" Levi suggested, recalling past encounters.

And so, with eager anticipation, they directed Zeus towards Svallo Island.

Svallo Island, a thriving hub in North Blue, boasted a brightly lit port bustling with ships. Evidently, the island offered abundant nocturnal entertainment.

"Zeus, find a secluded spot for us to stay. Let's not draw attention," Levi instructed.

As they landed, they were greeted by the sound of altercation.

"Apologies for the disturbance."

Subsequently, sounds of scuffle ensued.

Frowning, Luo surveyed the scene before him. Two youths in peaked caps were pummeling a plump white bear, which pleaded for mercy incessantly.

"The talking bear, from Zou Island's Mink Tribe?" Luo pondered.

"ROOM!"

Luo hurled a small stone, simultaneously beckoning the white bear towards him.

"Did you rescue me? Thank you, I'm Bebo," the bear expressed gratitude profusely.

However, the assailants redirected their aggression towards Luo upon witnessing Bebo's approach.

Drawing his Ghost Cry, Luo swiftly incapacitated the assailants, leaving them in a state of shock and fear.

"Bebo, are you from the Mink Tribe on Zou Island?" Luo inquired.

Tearfully, Bebo confirmed his origin but lamented being separated from his brother, Jiebo.

"Jiebo, of the Knox Pirates!"

Levi and Luo exchanged glances, astounded by the serendipitous encounter.

"Are you affiliated with the Knox Pirates?" Luo questioned Bebo.

"How did you know?" Bebo's curiosity piqued.

"We crossed paths with your brethren, Jiebo and Pedro, not long ago," Luo divulged.

Bebo's eyes lit up. "You've met my brother Pedro and Jiebo? Are they well?"

"Pedro yet lives. Regrettably, your brother fell victim to Big Mom," Luo conveyed solemnly.

Overwhelmed with grief, Bebo wept inconsolably. Eventually, he composed himself and beseeched Luo, "You're noble-hearted. May I join you?"

"I have stringent criteria for my crew," Luo asserted proudly, though ultimately relented, "But I could use a companion like you."

"Brother, I'm Xia Qi, and I'm Peijin. Please allow us to accompany you!" the two youths implored.

Thus, Luo acquired three followers.

"Luo, as you're bound to form a pirate crew to challenge Doflamingo eventually, why not establish one now?" Levi proposed.

"Pirates? Sounds promising," the youths exclaimed, suggesting numerous flamboyant names.

"Enough chatter! We'll be the Heart Pirates," Luo proclaimed decisively, unveiling a flag bearing a smile—a tribute to Rosinante's enduring legacy.

"Captain, why not the traditional skull and crossbones?" Xia Qi queried.

Luo snapped, "Enough!"

Observing the scene unfold, Levi mused, "This motley crew might just be onto something."

"Luo, as your crew is newly established, I'd like to contribute a pirate ship. What are your specifications?" Levi offered, expressing gratitude for Luo's medical expertise.

"I desire a submarine, capable of accommodating at least twenty, preferably painted yellow," Luo requested, envisioning the perfect vessel.

"A submarine? Uncommon choice," Levi remarked, before arranging for the construction under the expertise of Bingshan Ace Batagu, Tom's esteemed disciple in shipbuilding.
