Refusing My God’s Advances

Chapter 84: Still Hungry

I let out a breath, but still smiled. That entire time I had just spent with Mary was something that I could have never imagined. Considering how she had acted to me even before I had talked to her about binding her soul to mine.

Mary had been out to get me because of Aria, and I could understand why. Yet, if I could Make Mary fall in love with me, that was hitting the spot with only a single tool!

As I chuckled to myself, and turned to go get some food, there was a knock at my studio door. Frowning, I called out from them to enter, and Danielle walked in, looking a bit sheepish, but also like something was bothering her.

"What's up, Danielle?" I asked as she walked in and closed the door.

"Why didn't you come and see my laboratory yet?" She asked, and I winced.

"I have had a lot of things happen today, but we can go together after we have something to eat, if that is okay?" I asked, and she nodded, and then walked over to my printer.

Since it was done printing, it has folded back in on itself, and the drones were stored inside. Now it just looked like a white unassuming plastic box with a glowing power icon. The Machine was hardly anything like what I had brought into the world, but I suspected I would get more upgrades to it as my level increased.

"Is it really okay for you not to have this working?" Danielle asked, turning back to me from the printer.

She had a valid point. "You are right, I probably should get something started," I said, but then paused. "How about this? You pick something out, and we will put it on to print while we go get something to eat, okay?"

Danielle's eyes lit up, and she nodded, putting her hands together, making me smile. I pulled my chair back to my computer, and sat down. Danielle came over, pulled her white skirt to the back of her legs, and then sat on my lap.

Since she was being so forward, I rested my left arm around her waist. Danielle didn't complain as I opened the ISP icon.

"What?!" Danielle squeaked, and then put her hand over mine to control the mouse as she started to scroll. "How are there so many options?!"

I laughed, just enjoying another moment. "Just pick one, and you will be amazed at how many different options there are. This is just the tip of the iceberg."

Danielle moved the mouse to futuristic gadgets, and clicked on it. I had to double click it, but unlike the gothic dresses, there was just a list of file names.

  1. Barrier_Device1.stl
  2. Barrier_Device2.stl
  3. Magic_To_Power_Converter.stl
  4. Mini_Satellite_With_Launcher.stl

"What are all these things?" Danielle asked in confusion, but then points at 1 and 2. "I understand those, but the cell phone? What is that?"

I tried to click on it, but I got a message say that I couldn't create it without creating at least 4 of the Mini_Satellite_With_Launcher.stl.

"The phone is a device that will allow us to talk like the device we use, but I think it should have a camera. That will record your face, and broadcast it to the other device you are talking to. That way we will see each others face, but we can also use it for recon to show the area you are in," I explained, and I could feel Danielle get excited as she wiggled in my lap.

Next, she pointed to 7. "What is that?"

I tried clicking on it, but I got a message saying that I had to build 3 first. I tried 8, but I needed to build 11 first. 9 and 10 both required 11 as well, so I clicked on 3.

[This item is to large for your printing surface]

"I really don't know what that stuff is, and it looks like we aren't going to find out till my printer upgrades," I sighed, but then clicked on 4. Not only did it come up, but I was able to fit four on the print surface. "Well, this is a start, and then we can make some phones, and I assume a tablet."

"Can we?" Danielle asked, turning in my lap, looking up at me with her blue eyes. She was blushing, and she let her arms wrap around my neck, slowly pulling me closer to her.

I didn't speak. I just clicked print, and let go of the mouse as I wrapped my arms around Danielle. I lowered my head, and she met me for a passionate kiss. The sounds of the printer, the drone, the sounds of my stomach grumbling to be fed; they were all background noises as we lost ourselves.

I don't know how long we stayed like that, but I didn't care. The passion between us as Danielle ran her hands through my hair made me feel young for some reason. Like this was what it should have felt like to have a teen crush make out session that never had happened for me. Yet, now I was experiencing it with Danielle, and it felt incredible.

Eventually, Danielle pulled away, her cheeks flushed, and she giggled. "Well, that was unexpected."

I chuckled, feeling a bit lightheaded. "Yeah, but sometimes the unexpected things are the best."

Danielle nodded in agreement. "I'm looking forward to the gadgets we're printing, and maybe we can explore my laboratory afterward."

I grinned. "Absolutely, but first, let's grab something to eat. I'm still starving."

Danielle hopped off my lap, and we headed out of the studio, leaving the printer to work on the gadgets. As we walked down the corridor, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. Despite the challenges and mysteries that surrounded my new life, there were moments like these that made it all worthwhile.
