Reincarnated as a Fox to Bring Revolution

V2Ch-26-Project Progress

Walking into the workshop the next day, I moved into the back room where all the big machines were and started checking all of their crafting interfaces.

This was to look for a few components I would use on my next project. Sadly, I did not find many parts and the ones I did find, I could have made myself for less material cost.

So I took two of the more tedious and cost-effective parts of the project and had the system make a set of screws as well as some rolled hardened steel bars.

Moving on from there, I tried to start collecting the things I would need for the next few parts, only to find that I was missing a few basic materials. Mainly rubber and a type of heat-resistant cloth.

The first one was somewhat easier to get as I just needed to find a few trees with the right resin properties. However, the second one was harder as I would need both a new set of machinery and a new material to make cloth with.

The biggest problem with both of these was that I would need to leave the Sect to find them. And I knew for a fact that Mom would not let me leave without her approval first. Which meant that I would need to get good enough in combat practice to hold my own against her.

I would also need to get a higher cultivation level if I wanted to do that as well.

I was about to set aside my plans because of this when I remembered that the system would occasionally act as a molecular converter and decided to check one of the workbenches in the other rooms.

The first workbench I checked was the clothiers station, which, after the upgrade, got renamed to the cloth workbench. There, I found the recipe for high-temperature cloth seals made using normal cloth and some resin, which I had from cutting down trees.

Making a rough count of how many I needed in my head, I ordered up a small handful of seals before moving on to the next room, where the chemistry workbench was located.

Checking the chemistry workbench, I found a recipe for rubber that used any type of resin instead of more specific kinds. This, in turn, meant that I would be able to continue making what I had planned without needing to wait.

Moving back to the workshop and over to the mill, I start working on the machines and pulling out blocks of steel from my inventory. Some of the blocks are cubes, while others are rectangular, and the remaining ones are cylindrical. They are also made of both hardened and spring steel depending on what part they are intended to be.

I also took a lesson from what Mom said about the swords that I made by making sure that the Qi structure of the steel I brought out from my inventory was in a triangular fractal shape. This had unintentionally caused me to feel a lot of mental strain when pulling out the steel on top of its increased inventory consumption rate.

I got so focused on trying to build my project that it ended up getting to the point where the sun had started kissing the horizon before I came out of the workshop again. When I did see this, I rushed to the library to grab a few books on formations and then ran into the house to get dinner.

Bursting into the dining room caused both Yuki and Mom, who were sitting at the table with food in front of them, to look up at me with a mix of curiosity and confusion before Mom motioned for me to sit in the chair next to her.

Sitting at the table, I noticed the meal covered in front of me, as if they had anticipated this. They could have also waited for so long that the food started to get cold, so they covered it, expecting me to get back soon, but I was choosing to ignore this probability.

I then started to reach forward to take off the cover, but then I thought better of it and pulled my hand back, waiting for permission to do so.

My wait lasted for a few minutes as I sat there listening to the conversation between Mom and Yuki about something I did not fully understand before Yuki pointed toward me, drawing her attention.

When she looked over and saw me sitting there fighting and trying not to uncover the food, she teased, "Are you not hungry? If not, I could put it away, and you could eat it tomorrow."

Her words caused me to momentarily panic and stare at her with wide eyes as she laughed before asking Yuki to uncover the food.

Complying, Yuki did so immediately, revealing a plate piled high with barbecue chicken, pulled pork, and even some sliced brisket on the bottom.

Trying to restrain my instincts again. I held myself back from stuffing my face into the plate and slowly pulling pieces out to cut them before eating them.

This meant that I was able to experience the meal for longer, and with my enhanced senses, I was able to taste even more about it.

It got to the point that I was almost overloaded with all the different sensory experiences, forcing me to stop for a few minutes before continuing again.

When I stopped eating for a minute, the other two looked at me, worried, but it quickly disappeared when I went back to eating again.

Soon, the food was finished, and I was following Mom again as we went back to bed.

When we entered the room, I tackled her to the bed before crawling over her lap to lie down and read a book.

The moment I pulled out a book, Mom picked me up and threw me out of the room, telling me to use my room if I was going to read, but not without telling me to go to bed not long after.

Reluctant to part with her, I felt my tail and ears drop but still walked upstairs and plopped myself down on my bed to do more research.

I was soon so engrossed in what I was learning that by the time I looked up at the window, I was able to see the sun leaving the horizon.

Getting up from bed, I took a shower and changed my clothes again before heading downstairs so I could get breakfast.

This meal was not that different from normal, with it consisting mostly of meat products and having a few veggies mixed in occasionally.

After that, I went out to the courtyard, where I was beaten black and blue for a few hours under the guise of teaching. But I did not have to wait that long, as soon as Mom was done with me, I could run off to the workshop.

However, to be fair to her she was teaching me what I did wrong in the spaces between each sparring session.

I was then told by her to first pick up the ore from mining drills before working on anything I had planned.

Lowering my head, I went off to achieve that, and when I did, I could not stop myself from practically vibrating the floor beneath me to pieces.

I was still able to work on the project regardless of that and set the largest piece to be milled by the machines. I then turned to the side, where I quickly placed a table and pulled out one of the pieces that I had worked on earlier.

I then pulled out a pneumatic-powered dremel to begin engraving a few lines with. After the lines came a few symbols that most people would not understand.

During the engraving process, I had to switch and move around a large block of steel that I was shaping with a few of the machines.

By the time the steel block had finished, I was not finished with the runes on the parts I was engraving, but I still finished carving those soon after.

I then started making a few other parts while engraving the block of steel that had just finished.

This same routine lasted until the end of the day, but I was almost finished with all the parts that I needed to make.

Setting all the parts in the middle of the room, I walk back to the house to finish off the day.

The next day, I followed the same routine I had established for a few days until noon. At this point, I was back in the workshop, machining out a few final parts so that I would be able to transport these all somewhere else.

I even had to ask for some help making these parts, so I had Mom sitting next to me with an inscription tool in her hand.

With her help, I was able to have all the parts finished and moved over to the carpool, where I would begin to assemble the new toy.

I could not wait to see the look on Lou Xia's face when she saw it.
