Reincarnated as a Fox to Bring Revolution

V2Ch-27-Third Level Qi Gathering

When we finished preparing all the parts, Mom then dragged me out of the workshop by my tail. If she did not do that then we would have been there for the next few hours with me trying to put some of them together.

She would have pulled me by the tail all the way to the house if I had not grabbed her arm and dragged her to the house instead.

Since I was not able to work on my project, I would instead do more research on the formations I would need to finish the project.

When I entered the house, I went to go up stairs but was pulled into the dining room and forced to sit at the table.

Mom then walked around me and sat at the head of the table.

Yuki, who was sitting at the table, was watching us and holding back her laughter while I was sitting there stunned for a moment until I heard the sound of clinking dishes in front of me. Looking down, I saw a plate filled with a salad and some chicken-like meat in front of me.

Reaching out to the plate, I grabbed the silverware and began to eat. Soon, I was able to leave my shock behind and started to eat even faster. This was because I wanted to get my research done and then move on to finishing the project as fast as possible.

However, this did not matter as when I finished eating, I was forced to stay in my chair until Mom finished her food.

When she did, I was then dragged by her over to the bedroom and thrown into the ensuite bathroom.

The next morning, I woke up to having my tail and hair neatly brushed and wearing a new dress that I believe was called a cheongsam or something like that.

It was made of a black fabric that was embroidered with golden thread in the pattern of an eastern dragon coiling around my body. The skirt of the dress was also long enough to cover most of my legs, but it had a slit on one side that went up about half of the dress.

It was also tailor-made to fit around my tail and even left room for modification when I got more. To top everything off, there were a few red ribbons of the same color as my hair and fur sewn at key points to accentuate certain parts.

This was not something I would normally wear, but Mom asked me to do it, and I was fairly certain that I would not be able to finish the project for a few days, so I would not need to change it for now.

I then walked out of the room and over to the dining room, where Mom was sitting and reading a new book again, waiting for breakfast.

The wait was not that long, however, as Yuki soon came out with the morning meal in hand.

During the meal, Yuki paused her eating and looked up at me before asking, "Miss Vale, when will you be able to teach me the next cultivation technique?"

This question reminded me that I had forgotten about my cultivation for a few days.

Quickly checking it before answering her, I found that my cores were past the point of breaking through, and the only thing preventing it was my lack of attention to it. This also meant that the moment I took notice of it, my cores broke through to the third level immediately.

The moment the breakthrough happened, a small wave of compressed air was set off from my body, and it alerted both Mom and Yuki to what had just happened.

They both looked at me with a bit of shock and confusion, making me a bit embarrassed, so I said, "I forgot to check my cultivation for a few days and managed to accumulate more than enough to break through. So when Yuki asked me about the next technique, I remembered to check my cultivation, and when I did, I immediately broke through."

Mom gave me a weird expression after hearing my words, but Yuki showed one of excitement, clearly wanting to learn it.

Mom then suggested teaching Yuki the technique now instead of doing the morning training and then working on the project I had going.

These words were the best ones I could have heard this morning, and thus, I quickly finished the food in front of me before grabbing Yuki's arm and dragging her out to the shrine. There, I had her sit down before handing her the manual and explaining the more intricate parts of the technique that I had found so far.

When that was done, I informed her that I would not be helping with the pain this time and that she would need to endure it herself before stepping back. She took this as a clear enough signal to start, and immediately, all the Qi around her started to rush in.

Soon, points of light started to form all around her skin, and her face started to contort in pain. An hour of this happening went by, with more points of light appearing until there was no more distinction between them.

Then, letting out a roar of pain, the light disappeared, and she collapsed to the ground unconscious.

Walking up to her, I checked her pulse and found that she was fine, even if her heart was beating a little fast. Besides that, I tried to do the same thing that Mom did in our chases around the Xia mansion and sent a pulse of Qi through her body.

This allowed me to see everything that was going on in her body to a near-perfect degree, including her meridians, which should only exist on the spiritual plane.

When I saw her new meridian structure, I could not help but let out a small smile at the sight of her new tail and ear meridian paths. If someone did not know better and were only looking at her meridians, they would have thought that she was a kitsune as well.

Mom also saw the smile on my face but simply thought that it was a smile at the fact that Yuki completed the first stage of the technique and not because of anything else. Which, if you were looking at things objectively, that was indeed the case.

Mom then told me to take Yuki to her room before meeting her in the workshop.

Following her orders, I soon set Yuki down on the bed in her room and left, but not without turning around to give Yuki one last look with a small smile on my face.

When that was finished, I made my way over to the workshop and into the carpool, where Mom was waiting. She did not say much and only asked for instructions on what to do next.

With that, we spent the rest of the day putting together a frame using the steel bars I had made and starting the assembly of some of the other parts.

By this point, the day was already ending, and we had to return to the house.

Walking through the front door, we were treated by the smell of perfectly grilled meat, along with some caramelized onions and a hint of barbeque sauce.

Running past Mom, I made my way into the dining room and sat down at the chair I usually find myself in, waiting for dinner to be served.

Mom walked in behind me, but in a more reserved manner, before taking her seat at the head of the table, waiting for the food as well.

The wait was not long as soon Yuki came walking out of the kitchen with three plates of food in hand. Each one was the same, with a steak topped with caramelized onions and barbeque sauce on one side and some freshly made steak fries on the other.

Once it was placed on the table, I did not wait for Yuki to grab the silverware and instead grabbed a couple of sets from my inventory, placing them by each plate. After that, I stared at Mom, waiting for her to take the first bite.

Normally, this would be the point at which she would have laughed at my childishness, but instead, she was staring at the food on her plate like it was her nemesis again. Seeing that, I took inspiration from Yuki the other day and nudged her with my foot under the table.

When I did that, Mom came back to the real world and slowly grabbed the silverware from the table before taking a bite.

This allowed both Yuki and me to take a bite from our food.

Normally, I would be happy about this and have to hold myself back from inhaling my food, but this time, it was easy for me to eat more slowly.

Especially because I was able to see the look of confusion and wonder slowly spreading on Yuki's face.
