Reincarnated as Bella Swan’s Brother (Twilight)

The night quickly passed.

Unlike Port Angels, the people or the police knew nothing.

So much had changed in just one night however there were no outward changes.

There would certainly be many in the future once people noticed that the gangs were no longer harassing them however that wouldn't be something they would notice in a day or two.

Getting up from the bed, Alex dressed up and headed outside his destination. The high school where he would be meeting with clubmates once more.

'Hopefully, I can actually learn some more about 'him'' Alex thought as his mind wandered off to what had happened the last time he had met the group.

Walking all the way over didn't take longer than an hour before Alex was in front of the school.

He could see the group of four already as they stood in front of the school gates.

They were clearly showing signs of being afraid and even were shaking faintly.

A human wouldn't have been able to notice from a distance however Alex could see it clearly, he could even say that he smelled the fear with how strong his senses were, of course, it was still simply a metaphor.

Arriving before the group, Alex motioned for them to follow him and they immediately nodded their heads.

Walking away from the school, Alex brought them to a high-class restaurant where they had a private VIP zone so that no one would be able to overhear or disturb their conversation.

After ordering the floor, Alex finally turned to face the four kids once more.

"All right, how much can you tell me without completely going insane Chloe," Alex asked the girl who had been the most outspoken from the start of their encounter yesterday.

Chloe nodded her head and finally started speaking.

"I can't tell you much and I can't tell it to you directly but I can give hints about places where you might find something or hints about what I actually mean to tell you, after that, I can confirm your assumptions with a nod or shake of my head," Chloe said as she looked at Alex in the eyes.

It seemed she had finally gotten past most of her fear for him since she saw that he wasn't going to kill them.

'That's a dumb move, how can you lose your fear which should always keep you on edge when you're facing someone who can rip your head off at any second simply because he wants to' Alex thought for a moment as he slightly shook his head and then told Chloe.

"Go on"

"Hospital Birth," Chloe said before stopping for a few seconds and then continuing.

"Phoenix House, Reenee Swan"

And then she stopped for a second.

"Alex, Super, Illusion, School, Mad, Insane, Closer"

Those were the final words Chloe said, each time she had spoken she had stopped for a few seconds and then continued forwards so that she didn't chain the words in even a form resembling a sentence for fear that she would bear the pain once more.

"All right, Places I should go and check are the hospital where Alex was born and his old house that he lived here with Renee Swan, correct?" Alex asked the girl who nodded her head.

"Alex used some powerful illusion to make the school think that he was normal as time went on since he himself was going more and more insane. And thus couldn't keep his cover effectively? That was also the reason why the students didn't talk to me when I came back. Because they're still in an illusion to ignore me or simply not think much of me?" Alex asked as he looked at the girl, his expression had turned sour as he linked the hints together.

Another nod of the head was all he needed to know.

The rest of the hour was spent with the group eating and drinking, there really wasn't much more they could tell him as they truly didn't know more information. So Alex left that after a while with a simple goodbye, paid for the food, and headed out of the restaurant.

His new destination? The hospital after which it would be Alex's old house in Phoenix.

It had already been rented out which was the reason why Alex hadn't gone there already, but now that he had a reason to then it would definitely be an interesting place to visit especially as he learned more and more about the dark past of the former Alex.

The walk to the hospital took quite a while, taking almost three hours but when he finally arrived, Alex headed inside directly.

Going to the receptionist, Alex used daze directly, he had already activated his ability which made it so he wouldn't be seen by cameras so he wouldn't have to worry.

"Who holds all the records of this hospital?" Alex asked her and was quickly directed to the office of the Hospital's document archiver.

Arriving there quickly, Alex simply entered, used a daze, and quickly found what he was looking for.

There were only two documents about Alex Swan, and there was certainly something strange about them.

Alex had expected there to be more information about him here however it seemed like a bust.

There was nothing that could be pointed out or that would give him information about Past Alex.

Even if the papers were messed with, they looked too perfect in Alex's eyes and so he could find no fault in them.

Heading out of the Hospital soon after, Alex directly took the bus as he didn't want to walk anymore and then arrived at Past Alex's childhood street.

At the end of this street was the house where Alex had spent his childhood and even teenage years until he had come to Forks to live with his dad.

*Sigh*

Releasing a long sigh, Alex started walking toward the old house.

'Let's hope that I learn something more concrete about him here if there even is anything remotely personal left considering that the house is rented out.'

Alex is slowly learning more and more about the past. What will he learn? What will he discover? Will it be some horrifying truth or simply a tragic backstory?

Also, I announced this in my Patreon but for anyone who still doesn't know I'll say it again, the update schedule has changed to one chapter every 2 days for this fanfic.
