[ Forks Washington USA ]
It was the 1st of September, A new term of high school was about to start as students from all around the city and its region started heading for their first day of the school year.
One of those students was a young woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She was of pale complexion and could even be called quite beautiful for this small town.
She was driving her old orange truck to school, and though her mind had drifted to an entirely different place, luckily she still was conscious enough to keep driving safely.
'Alex, when are you coming back?' Bella thought as she drove down the slippery roads of Forks.
Alex, her brother had contacted her throughout the entire three months he had been away from the house, doing so weekly and he had told her that he would finally be back today.
Bella had almost stayed up all night only sleeping when her mind couldn't hold out anymore, leaving her sitting on the living room couch all night.
The drive to Forks High School was quick, considering the town's small size, Bella arrived in merely fifteen minutes.
Looking at the parking lot that she hadn't seen in the past three months, Bella was overcome with nostalgia, it hadn't been long however she had come to miss the place pretty quickly.
This was where she met a lot of wonderful people, where she had forged new friendships, and even found something more. Someone to love for the rest of her life.
Parking the truck in an open parking space, Bella shut the engine down she twisted the car key, and then grabbed her backpack and got outside of the car.
Looking around quickly, Bella saw what she was looking for and quickly headed in its direction.
She was heading toward two cars that had been parked at the far edge of the parking lot.
One of them was a large jeep whilst the other was a new silver Volvo.
Raising her hand, Bella gave a shy wave and a greeting.
"Hey guys!" Bella said to the people who were standing around the cars.
"Hey, Bells!" A short girl with a pixie haircut was the first one to greet her as she almost skipped to Bella and gave her a welcoming hug.
"Hey!" Edward, who Bella considered the love of her life, similarly came and gave her a hug before parting with her and giving her a soft smile.
The rest of the family of gorgeous people soon followed with Emmet, Rosalie, Jasper, and Edythe giving their greetings.
"So today's the day huh? It's been a while since we've seen him" Alice said with joy clearly showing in her tone as she patted Bella's back softly.
"Yeah," Bella murmured with a soft smile of her own.
It was at that moment that they heard the sound of a car speeding down the road, its sound clearly showing the power of its engine.
The Cullens were the first to notice as they turned to see what was happening, Bella quickly followed their gazes and a few seconds later heard the sound herself.
Soon enough, the car came into view.
It was a sleek black BMW M5, the newest model of the time.
Quickly the car slowed down and headed into the parking lot, and soon it came to their location.
Parking right next to the silver Volvo.
Bella's heart had already started to race as she looked at the car.
She wasn't enamored by it, nothing of the sort, instead she could get her sight to leave the driver.
It was someone familiar, someone she had wanted to see for a while.
Someone who she had seen leave while they were still in what she called a family drama of sorts.
Someone she had said horrible things to and then came to regret those words almost entirely the very next day as she saw him leave her for months.
It was her brother.
Alex Swan.
The man opened the car's door and got outside.
'He looks different' Bella thought as she stared at her brother.
It wasn't just his new shiny clothes or car, it was the very aura that he seemed to carry now.
It was as if he was demanding everyone around him to stop and give their attention to him. It wasn't a question, it was almost an order that all beings should follow.
'When I feel like I know you, you change, again and again, now I really don't know anything about you anymore, do I? Alex' Bella thought to herself as a pang of sadness gripped her heart.
The man with black hair that fell down to his neck, piercing black eyes that seemed to swallow the very light around them, and a sharp nose and eyebrows.
He looked like the epitome of beauty itself, even the gorgeous vampires around didn't seem to hold a candle in front of him.
If before he had looked like a kid, a teenager maturing up. Now he felt like a man, someone mature. It was honestly jarring how different Alex felt to Bella considering that he hadn't changed much in appearance.
"Hey, long time we haven't seen each other" Alex finally said as he walked to the group.
There was silence for a moment before Bella outright ran into him and hugged her brother.
Alex didn't seem shocked like others might have been by the action and simply gave her a light smile before returning the hug.
"I missed you," Bella said as she clutched the back of his shirt.
"I missed you too Bells," Alex replied as he gave her head a light ruffle.
Bella quickly parted and then started fixing her hair.
The action caused Alex to chuckle before his sight turned to the rest.
"Hey," Alex said once more before walking directly to the short pixie-like woman.
Alice raised her head as she stared at him and then just like Bella gave him a hug however her's seemed different in a way.
If Bella's hug was like that of family, then Alice's would be like two lovers who had finally met after a long time.

The time skip is here, I think I did alright on the descriptions and writing for this chapter.
