Reincarnated as Bella Swan’s Brother (Twilight)

"They are here," Alex said as he stood up and headed toward the door.

"Who? Edward?" Bella asked as she put her bowl of half-eaten cereal aside and stood up, the chair skidding behind her.

"Yeah, you can eat your food though. I'm sure they will wait for you" Alex said as he turned to face his sister.

"No, I'm not hungry anymore," Bella said as she walked next to Alex, both of them waiting on the front porch of the house.

"You do you I guess," Alex said as he saw a silver Volvo comming into view.

"You heard it when it wasn't even visible?" Bella asked, her voice clearly carried a tone of awe.

"It's not that impressive, you would have heard it too if you concentrated," Alex said.

Bella grabbed her shoes and crouched, putting them on.

"Yeah right, as if I would be able to hear at the same level as you," Bella said as she tied her shoelaces.

"Right, I guess so," Alex said as he saw the Volvo park in front of the house.

Looking up, he could clearly see a storm was imminent as the sky had already started darkening, the clouds gathering amongst themselves.

"The thunderstorm is about to start soon," Alex said, as he watched Edward and Alice get outside of the car and head toward them.

"Why do they want to play baseball in a thunderstorm though?" Bella asked confused as she stood up, and finished tying her shoes up.

"You will learn soon Bella," Alice said as she arrived at the staircase.

"I guess she will," Alex said as a soft smile took over his face at the sight of Alice.

"Are you ready?" Edward said as he stood next to Alice, he wasn't even looking at Alex, his sight focused on Bella alone.

"Yeah," Bella said, her voice soft at the sight of Edward.

'If only she talked so softly to me, she would rather flip a chair on my head than do that normally' Alex thought jokingly as he stared at Bella whose eyes seemed to practically light up at the sight of Edward.

"All right let's get going then, the storm is almost here," Alice said as she started walking toward the Volvo.

The rest nodded as they followed behind her.

Edward and Bella took the front seats with Edward driving whilst Alex and Alice got in the back passenger seats.

The Volvo soon started up once more and started heading toward the field Alex had seen them use in the movie and read about in the books.

'It's not long before we meet them now, at most an hour' Alex thought to himself as he stared outside the window.

"So what were you doing in Port Angels yesterday?" Alice asked Alex, grabbing his attention and making him turn to face her.

"I wanted to join a martial arts gym," Alex said as he looked at the woman whose face looked like she had been sculpted by the greatest sculptors. Even saying that almost felt like an insult to her beauty.

"Martial Arts? Why would you even need that?" Alice asked in confusion as she stared at Alex.

"I just thought it would be nice to learn and it's something to do since I have all this time," Alex said as he once more turned to look at the forest outside the car window.

"I mean, you could practically beat everyone even without using any skills. But I guess you could do it as a hobby" Bella said as she turned her head to look at the back seats.

Humming, Alex nodded in reply, his face clearly showed that he was deep in thought.

Bella turned back and soon started a conversation with Edward, completely lost in their talks soon after.

"I really wish I had Edward's power sometimes," Alice said suddenly as he looked at Alex.

"Why?" Alex asked as he turned toward her.

"I just want to know what you're thinking, with you it's so hard. Just when I think I know what you think, you turn around and do something completely unexpected."

Alice hummed and then showed a small smile.

"Even if you had his power, you wouldn't be able to read my mind though. He can't read mine and neither can he read Bella's," Alex said as pointed to Bella with his finger.

"Yeah, and sometimes it's really frustrating. Being unable to read her mind that is" Edward said as he interjected into the conversation.

"Yeah I guess it is, having the ability that you have relied so much on become useless, would be quite confusing" Alex replied as he nodded.

"Can't you turn off your thought-blocking ability though?" Alice asked, her tone clearly showing her curiosity.

"Yeah," Alex said, nodding his head.

"Could Bella also do that?" Edward asked as he drove around a corner.

"I don't think she can, the reason I can is because mine seems to be connected to my vampire abilities, It's probably a completely different ability from hers," Alex said as he motioned to his sister with his head.

"That's a bummer, even the ability that I have is a worse version of yours," Bella said as she seemed to pout.

Alex shook his head, as he showed a smile.

"No, I wouldn't even call that your ability, I'd call the fact that you are fearless while in the presence of three vampires more of an ability."

"That's not much of an ability Alex, I know you won't hurt me and I know Edward and Alice and the others won't either so it's not that frightening of a situation," Bella said as she huffed.

Edward seemed to sigh, about to say something but he got interrupted by Alex.

"Huh, I guess you're right. Sorry, I guess you really don't have a cool ability"

This seemed to annoy Bella and she turned her head to look at Alex.

"You don't need to say that!" Bella said as he looked at Alex, her brows crunched up together in a frown.

"Right, sorry," Alex said but his smile didn't really help his apology.

"We're here," Edward said as he stopped the car.
