Reincarnation – Naruto

Kakashi took 3 hours. But that bastard waited for almost two hours to observe us. When he came into the class he looked at me sleeping.

There was a tick mark on his forehead. He threw a blunt kunai towards me. I started thinking about what would be the most annoying way to dodge this.

I acted like I was attacking someone in my sleep and hit a book which changed the direction of the kunai.

Now Kakashi was genuinely pissed. He came over and punched me. My observation haki was working overtime. There was no way I could dodge his attack.

So I used a substitution technique.

“A shinobi must see underneath the underneath, Sensei. Now obviously, the plan to gather intel about us for two hours is very successful since now you know what kind of ninja we are. So shall we proceed.” I said from the back of the class.

He now had another tick mark. I was essentially using his line which was actually Minato’s line.

“Ok meet me at the rooftop.” And he disappeared

I was already on the rooftop. After substitution, I performed a shadow clone and the original was waiting at the rooftop. Kakashi was surprised to see me arrive before him.

“You are not the only one who likes to gather information, Sensei.” I knew the trick with the shadow clone would not escape his eye. But he did not expect that the original would already be at the designated location.

Then he asked us to introduce himself

“Why don’t you start with the introductions, Copy ninja Kakashi Hatake.”

“Hmm. My name is Kakasi Hatake. The things I like and the things I dislike, I don’t feel like telling you. My hobbies..”

“It was completely useless. He basically told us nothing but his name.”

“From the information I gathered, he has a Sharingan in one eye, Keeps reading books by Jiraiya sama that are not suitable for children, and likes to get lost on the journey to life.”

The sharingan part got Sasuke’s attention.

“How does he have a Sharingan?”

“That’s his secret to share.” I wanted to irritate him not make him give me a good beating

“Okay. Next pinkie.” Sakura was offended but didn’t say anything.

“My name is Sakura Haruno. The person I like is…. My dream for the future is….” This time I was at the end of the gaze.

“And what do you hate?”

“Waiting for no good reason.” She said sarcastically.

Sasuke’s introduction was the same.

“My name is Naruto Uzumaki. The thing I like doing is spending time with my friends. The thing I hate the most is war. My future goal is becoming a great ninja like my father.” I was laying it on thick.

No way I was going to become a ninja like my father. I think he is a moron. But right now the village needs to believe in me. Think it’s easy to control me.

“Okay meet me at training ground 7 tomorrow at 7 sharp. And don’t eat anything. If you do…” He left that part unsaid

After listening to this Sasuke disappeared.

“Sakura have a full meal tomorrow at breakfast and see you at the training ground at 10.”

“But didn't the sense I ask us to meet at 7 and not eat breakfast?”

“Yes like I told you he has a habit of getting lost on the path of life so he will be at least 3 hours late and breakfast is just a test.”

“See you tomorrow.”

Kakashi’s POV

I was irritated by Naruto. It was like he knew the exact things to irritate me but did not cross the line at the same time.

The next day we met at the training ground 7.

When I arrived, all three were there but the atmosphere was strange. Sasuke was grumbling and Naruto and Sakura were chatting.

“Your task is to get these two bells from me. This means one of you is going back to the academy.”

The bell test started and Sasuke and Sakura hid. I was reading my book when Naruto charged at me. He didn’t seem like the reckless type yesterday. As we engaged in taijutsu, we ended up by the river.

As soon as I used thousand years of death, a hand came out of the ground and took the bells while the clone popped. Now I was truly surprised.

But the most surprising part was that I did not notice when he switched with a shadow clone.

“You never saw the original sensei.” He said clarifying my doubts.

The only way for this to happen is that after going underground Naruto has to suppress his chakra as much as possible which is quite difficult because of kyubi.

Then had to be just within the reaching distance of the bells such that I could not react. Then he had to know that I was going to squat at the exact place.

The popping of the clone shows that he knows about the thousand years of death. Looks like Kushina San told him about me. I guess gathering information no matter the source is fine.

“Okay, Naruto. You got the bells. Who will you pick to send to the academy?”

I saw him creating a Rasengan and destroying the bells.

“What bells sensei?” My mouth twitched. There was a limit to testing my patience.

Let’s see how you do without the shadow clone on the D-rank mission.

One month has passed. Kakashi had us doing D-rank missions without shadow clones. I just grit my teeth and did them without complaining.

Today I told him

“Sensei, Don’t you think it’s about time we took a C-rank mission?”

Seeing that I didn’t complain the whole month he said

“Sure. Let me talk with Hokage Sama.”

Then we met Tazuna and the whole scene happened. Kakashi asked us to meet at the gate.

After preparing everything, we met at the gate. Tazuna was complaining the whole time.

Then I saw a puddle on the road. I looked at Sakura to see if she had noticed.

It looks like my training did not go to waste. She looked at me and signaled me about it.

I signaled her back that I would take care of it. As we crossed the puddle, the ninjas attacked us. Before they could reach us two kunai pierced their neck from behind.

“Mind telling me what’s going on Tazuna san?” He then started on his sad tale. After he was finished I countered his whole argument.

“If you knew what we were going to face on this mission, you should have provided us with the correct info.”

“But you handled them didn’t you?” Tazuna said in a haughty tone

“Kakashi sensei, I am abandoning the mission. How about you?”

“You can’t abandon the mission. This will mark an end to our village.”

“Then stop being so haughty old man. You are nothing but a money-grubbing person. Even Gato is better than you.” I signaled my teammates to not interfere.

“How can you compare me to Gato?” He asked with anger.

“At least he is open about his motives. Not only were you deceitful about the mission, but You were also ungrateful after getting a ninja team.”

“I can understand that you were trying to get a more powerful team but you should have paid the price for it then.”

“And before you give me that crap about not having enough money, you could simply have leveraged the bridge as collateral and have paid the money in installments with the interest.”

“You simply wanted to swindle Konoha. Even right now you are just appealing to our humanity to not abandon the job. The only way for us to continue the job now is that you agree to the original terms along with an added interest of five percent”

This brought a grimace to his face. He was expecting that a bunch of kids would be moved after hearing his plight. In fact, the money he had paid was enough for a downpayment for an A-rank mission.

But he didn’t want to pay them. But now he had no choice.

After signing the new contract, we continued moving.

On the way, a sword came flying at us.

“Now you’ll understand why A-rank missions are this expensive.” I said to Tazuna.

After Kakshi revealed his Sharingan, I deployed a smoke bomb Zabuza was facing Kakashi so he had no time to pay attention to us.

When Zabuza finally caught Kakashi, I exploded all the exploding tags floating in the river. Since the tags were upside down, Zabuza thought it was just some random paper.

I mean why would anyone plant exploding tags upside down? To blow inside the water?

But it was just enough for my purpose. The disturbance made Zabuza remove his hands from the water prison. The fight then progressed as it did in the series.

After Zabuza’s defeat, Haku intervened. But before he could take the body away, my clone came out of the ground and slit his throat with a Kunai.

“Always double-tap your enemy.”
