Reincarnation – Naruto

Since I didn't do anything, the fight between Kabuto and sound ninjas didn't happen. After Ibuki came in, he gave his usual speech and explained the rules for the exams. The exam was too easy for me. I completed it and half-time and then slept. When the time was finally up, Ibuki explained about the 10th question.

I had no interest in other people so I didn't give the speech about how I would never give up. Due to this only nine teams were remaining. I didn't pay any attention to those teams because I knew no matter what the final candidates for the pre-chunin fight won't change.

After that Anko came in through the window and asked us to gather at the entrance of the forest of death. When we reached there, I could clearly feel that one of the participants had switched her place with Orochimaru.

I could feel the disgusting aura of pedomaru on me, but I knew he was really interested in Sasuke. I mean the only thing that I have of interest is the nine tails and pedomaru knows that he cannot have the nine tails when Akatsuki was collecting all the tailed beasts.

But I was really not interested in saving Sasuke. I mean he is the reincarnation of Indira. I join this chunin exam to save Karin. She is one of the remanents of the Uzumaki clan, and I was not too fond of the way she was exploited in the real story.

I performed the shadow clone jutsu discreetly and sent it to the team from Kusagakure. I had already prepared a dummy body with red hairs to create an illusion that Karin was dead.

When I had asked Kushina a few months back to gather some of her hair, she was a bit surprised. But after I told her that one of our clansmen was being held against her will she agreed easily. My clone finally reached her and then attacked. I had instructed my clone to wear a mask because I didn't want anyone to know that it was me who attacked them.

I threw some shuriken in their direction. They hadn't noticed me or at least Karin did but didn't tell her teammates. I had thought that since Karin had the mind eye of kagura, she was going to alert her teammates but it looks like she wanted them to die.

Since there were already injured it was easy to take care of them. I didn't even have to use any techniques.

"Who are you?" Karin asked with concern and gratitude in her eyes.

" I am Uzumaki Naruto. I had heard from some wandering ninjas about an Uzumaki that was being exploited. My mother is from the Uzumaki clan. When I saw your red hair and the bite marks on your arm, I was sure that you were a member of the Uzumaki clan."

I could see the relief in her eyes. I then removed the dummy body from a sealing scroll and set all four bodies on fire using great fireball jutsu.

"Let's move. We don't have much time before the Anbu comes to the scene."

"Won't I be discovered in Konoha? It's not like I can stay in your house indefinitely."

"Don't worry, you just have to stay hidden for a month."

My Shadow clone took Karin and went towards Uzumaki's residence. Since I also had the mind eye of Kagura, I bypassed all the Anbu watching over the forest of death. I also collected the earth scroll from the Kusagakure team. After dropping her my clone returned and found me. It then threw the scroll from a distance and then popped. Sakura and Sasuke were on guard when they felt an object flying toward us, but I signaled them that it was all right.

"Let's head towards the tower." I said after catching the scroll.

"Where did the scroll come from Naruto?" Sasuke asked confused

"My shadow clone got it from a team." Sasuke did not look good after hearing that news

"Don't worry you will get to show your talents in the individual fights"

In the evening Pedomaru attacked us. Since I was already expecting the attack, I made sure that I and Sakura didn't get hurt too much. But Sasuke with his rash personality got hurt as well as was marked by the cursed seal.

"I'll take the first watch Sakura chan. Rest while you can." since we didn't play any major role Pedomaru didn't send the sound ninjas after us. Since we didn't play any major role I think he figured that we were not worth this time.

While Sakura was resting, I tried to figure out the Cursed seal. The seal was complex but I was able to get the sense of nature chakra from it. I tried to feel it in the atmosphere but failed, so I gathered some from the seal into my body. I could feel some changes happening in my body. I knew it was because of my body being compatible with anything. With the Chakra from the cursed seal, I tried sensing nature Chakra again, and this time I succeeded. But I knew that I could not keep the Chakra from the seal. I didn't want my side mode to be like Jugo's.

Soon it was daytime and we made our way towards the tower. Sometimes I am amazed by the village security system. Although the fight didn't gather much attention because I didn't actively participate in it, I was still surprised that the Anbu didn't detect pedomaru.

After opening the scrolls inside the tower, Iruka came out of the scrolls. I told him what happened inside the forest of death and he contacted Hokage immediately. Kushina was called to remove the seal on Sasuke, but as the seal housed a soul, Kushina didn't have a way to safely remove it.

So she did the next best thing. She sealed it. But she was no amateur like Kakashi. So unless Sasuke used the power of the cursed seal, Kushina's seal wouldn't break.

After the three days passed, we were all gathered inside the hall to hear the announcement from the Hokage. As I reached the hall, I saw that 5 teams that had originally passed.

"Since there are too many teams that have passed the second round, we'll have a preliminary knockout round." After that, the Hokage went on about the bullshit of fire and how this exam was being held to show off the talents of the village instead of war.

The fights went as they did in the original story with two differences. The first is that Sakura won against Ino. Many people were surprised at this because Ino was from a Clan and Sakura was a civilian.

The second difference was that Hinata fought much more fiercely than she did in the original story. When she was about to get seriously injured I gave her a signal and she immediately surrendered.

I knew she was not at the level of Neji yet, but she still gave him a good fight. In fact, they were evenly matched. The game changer was rotation which Hinata didn't know yet. Although her Eight trigrams were not at the same level as Neji, she was somehow able to dodge it.

Then the matchups for the actual finals for the chunin exam were decided and there was no change in the matches. I went home and Kushina was waiting for me.

“Naruto, Hiruzen has called Jiraiya back to train you.”

“What can he even teach me? The only thing he has is the frog summoning contract. But I don’t want to be a frog summoner.”

“Why? They will help you a lot in the upcoming exams.”

“I know. But frogs are loyal to Konoha. If we ever move against Konoha higher up, they will hinder us rather than help us.” Hearing this, Kushina went silent

“Just tell Hiruzen that you are personally training me in controlling the Nine-Tails chakra right now. He’ll back off after hearing this.”

It went as I expected. After hearing that I was mastering the Nine-Tails chakra, Hiruzen happily backed off. Although he had his suspicions, he could not act on them.

We were the family of the deceased fourth Hokage. And we have been helping the village despite the hate from the civilians. Although we were in contact with the remnants of the Uchiha clan, he couldn’t fault us for that. Both of our clans were extinct after all.

If he tried to act against us, the other clans would unite for self-preservation. The Uchiha clan massacre was tolerated because everyone hated the Uchiha. But if someone continues to remove clans from Konoha, every major clan will be scared that it will be them next.

To avoid this both the clans and the village avoided antagonising each other. The village overlooks some of the clan activities while the clan overlooks when some of their less important members go missing. But if any important members of a clan are harmed, all the other clans will unite to prevent the same from happening to their own clan.

So we were safe for now. And I was sure that all this would be over by the next month.
