Reverend Insanity’s Formation Venerable

Wei Ru wandered around the Green Ghost Desert, he was searching for the person who stole the being closest to him in his heart, Wei Su. He converted many immortal essence stones to his own immortal essence, the green grape essence, he was frantically using top tier mortal killer moves while riding his lion, he was happier than a kid seeing a mountain of candy.

He hid the lion away since he felt it to be a bit burdensome to the whole operation, he allowed it to stay in a specific spot in order to trap Gu Zu by making him come this way.

Wei Ru used his killer move to conceal himself, it was quite strong even among immortal level killer moves. He stealthily moved around the sandy dunes, escaping the soul beasts and seeing the green desert for all its glory. "Huff," he breathed out a full breath before continuing with a smile, "If one day I become strong enough, I should definitely go around this world, it's too beautiful to let go."

The sun was slightly up, the clouds were still red, the skies looked fiery, the Green Ghost desert looked vast and bountiful. The green sands sparkled around, it was indeed a breathtaking sight. 

Wei Ru looked for a moment before calming down.

"However, my goal now is still Wei Su." Wei Ru had a determined look on his face, however, the toughness of his face had faded slightly.

Wei Ru went around the desert, he encountered everything besides Gu Zu, "sigh, maybe it's not in my luck." It wasn't that he didn't want to, he had no choice. 

He decided to give up but he finally noticed something. A shadow moving quickly through the desert, Wei Ru's investigation killer move was absolutely amazing. He could notice even faint signals. 

"Gu Zu?" Wei Ru was shocked, furious, and happy, it wasn't emotions that could be written in paper.

He heard some faint mutters, "too expensive...earthly tribulation...10 great catastrophe...mumble..." 

Wei Ru heard some important things and managed to piece together a story. "So the reason he stole the city was to sell it for money to buy items that could halt his tribulations or make it weaker. Unfortunately, his plan didn't work as the tribulation was more powerful than thought. According to my information of him, he has heavenly tribulations next." 

Wei Ru had never slacked off when getting information on Gu Zu, he had already spent hundreds of Immortal Essence Stones, he could be said to know almost as much about Gu Zu as himself.

"Good, so the rumors that Gu Zu is looking for money and a time path master isn't invalid." Wei Ru now had exponentially more confidence in himself. If he wasn't he would be a failure, after all, Gu Zu was already weakened by a tribulation. 

"Hmm, for this set up, I have to make it believable. I should put the Green Claw Ghost lion and the time path ability into effect." Wei Ru had a scheming glint in his eyes, he would be ruthless to this person who stole his family. 

Wei Ru went into a corner of the desert where he expected Gu Zu to come to. He set up formations after formations, he even created many green grape essence, now, he had about 1,000 immortal essence stones in storage. After a while, the set up was complete, he brought in the lion and created massive time path fluctuations, he lost quite a bit of his dao marks for this operation. 

Gu Zu was moving through a desert where there were many Stony caverns, "Hmm, I have deduced this place to have many soul cores, I could sell it for 400 immortal essence stones, it would be barely enough to fund me." Gu Zu had a wry smile, he was framed to become a demon path gu immortal, he was originally part of the righteous path. He was forced to leave the clan and become a demon, eventually falling into poverty and repeated attacks by the clan he felt attachment for. Now, decades later, he had changed, he only valued money in life. 

He was moving towards the cave yet felt massive time path fluctuations from some place relatively close by. "Hmm? Time path attacks in soul path desert?" He was a bit intrigued but continued towards the cave. Right as he finished taking all the soul cores, he felt another rise in time path aura."

"Huh? Time path immortal gu?" Gu Zu's eyes brightened up. His robes began to tremble as he moved towards the area.

He hid in a crevice and managed to see, it was a gu immortal, around Peak Rank 6 fighting a Green Ghost Claw Lion.

Gu Zu was stunned, he began to stutter in disbelief, his worldview had been changed. 

"This, this rank 6 immortal is fighting a rank 8 desolate beast?" His mouth opened in shock.

After being stunned however, he began to see if he could gain benefits, unaware of the fact that he was already in the scheme laid out by Wei Ru.

"Schemes are much easy to lay if you know a person's thumbscrew." Wei Ru sneered at this sight, he had already laid formations around the area, he could notice even a faint grain of dust flying.

Wei Ru knew his scheme had a high chance of working. Gu Zu was looking for someone to help delay his tribulations, he wanted money, he wanted benefits, everything he wanted was here, a time path immortal, looting an injured immortal, the benefits were astounding. 

The Lion, being controlled, growled ferociously, by now, it had regained 80% of its previous ability, to raise anymore would require Immortal gu. The lion swiped its claw and green miasma spread around, it turned into fluttering leaves that had a bluish hue. They launched towards Wei Ru and penetrated him, shockingly, it didn't damage his body, rather, parts of his soul were removed. 

Gu Zu was again stunned, "Is this lion using killer moves?" 

The situation changed again.

Wei Ru who was previously showing a defeated angry expression suddenly changed his expression. With a mighty aura, a giant flood that looked like it stopped mid appeared. It had dense time path dao marks and trapped the lion, the lion showed a fearful expression before fleeing.

Gu Zu, again, was shocked.

"What's this gu immortal's identity? Such godly power?" 

Next he heard sounds that felt like it came from right beside him. "Fellow Immortal, what are you doing?"

It made Gu Zu feel shivers as he turned around. He saw an old looking man, hair as white as snow, the beard well maintained, going right to his middle. He was clad in martial uniform along with a handful, both were slightly green. The leaves that were still fluttering changed directions and moved towards him, they dissipated after poking through him yet there were no soul pieces. It had returned back to him!

"Sir... sir gu immortal? What's your name?" Gu Zu looked a bit frightened, he readied his killer moves and began to speak a bit off. 

"Hmm, my name is Gao Wu, you may or may not have heard of my name, I am a time path Gu Immortal, some gu immortal circles are always asking for my services." Wei Ru stroked his white beard, his hands were clean and his smile was radiant, his other hand showed a token from the Xiao clan. 

Gu Zu wanted to ask many things to this suspiciously strong gu immortal, however he knew that fleeing was the most important. Until, he heard of time path services, he knew what it meant. A way to slow down time in aperture. 

Gu Zu still had a shaky expression, but smiled. "Sir gu immortal, you may not know me, I am Gu Zu, I happen to be a space path gu immortal, we should keep touch in the future, after all, whoever isn't an enemy is an ally right?" 

Wei Ru laughed a bit, "Hahaha, fellow daoist, good, take this, if you need my help, you can talk to me."

He flickered a gu worm of information path, he then looked around, "I still have to chase that cat, I hope you understand." Wei Ru left towards the direction of the lion, leaving Gu Zu, again, stunned. 

After a few moments of clarity Gu Zu looked around and then left this area. 

"I still have to prepare, If I can't do well, I will look for help from this person, I feel like there is some inconsistency with what just happened." Gu Zu looked around suspiciously. 

Wei Ru looked from far away, "unfortunately he didn't accept it, but it does make sense, I would be a bit afraid if he was fearless when inviting a foreign gu immortal." 

Wei Ru analyzed, there were still a few areas of improvement, yet the seed had been sowed, there was nothing much he could do unless he directly confronted Gu Zu.

"Now, I have to wait and prepare for Gu Zu's invitation, he would likely have an information path immortal during the transaction or at least a top tier mortal killer move, I will face extraordinary backlash, but it's worth it." Wei Ru frowned before leaving back to his cave. "I will leave the lion around the edges of the desert, if it finds Soul cores it can invite me." Wei Ru flew towards a cave nearby and started to plan.

It had to be perfect.
