Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 89: Xenomorph Behemoths

By now, the Xenomorphs no longer needed Earth Dragon Zerg to lead the charge; they could hold their own.

Under the unified command of the Butterfly Generals, although the Xenomorphs suffered heavy losses, they also grew rapidly, constantly devouring various units on the battlefield. Their forms became diverse and bizarre, with varying strengths.

The alien units that initially disregarded them now paid a heavy price.

The Xenomorphs grew incredibly fast, and with Face Huggers continuously forming new Xenomorphs, Xu Luo on the starship lavished evolution point energy to accelerate their growth.

In this process, only one in ten Xenomorphs survived, but those that did were exceptionally powerful, the elite of the elite.

A single Face Hugger could form many Xenomorphs, and the battlefield was littered with corpses, naturally forming an incubator for them.

With Xenomorphs at the forefront, other human units finally had room to breathe.

Although they found it strange that this unseen human genius was so powerful, someone they had never encountered before, they were grateful that such a genius was human and had come from afar to rescue them.

Previously, the aliens had relied on their superior numbers to surround and kill humans.

But although their unit numbers were high, they were mostly ordinary units. Now, with Xu Luo's Zerg joining, the numerical advantage was nullified.

The aliens naturally couldn't watch their units being slaughtered, so they decisively deployed their core units.

Suddenly, dozens of transmission light pillars appeared on the core battlefield. In the haze, enormous beings could be seen within each pillar.

When the figures emerged from the light pillars, the humans were in an uproar, while the aliens were elated.

Those emerging from the pillars were all massive, colossal beings.

Behemoths and Hill Giants, all Gold-tier elite units, and in large numbers.

Dozens of these colossal beings appeared across the battlefield, their sheer size alone creating immense pressure.

By now, some Xenomorphs had evolved to Silver Tier 7 or 8, but when facing these giants, a single punch from them would reduce a Xenomorph to pulp.

The power gap between Gold and Silver tiers was simply too vast.

Even the difference between a Silver Tier 9 elite and a Gold Tier 1 ordinary unit was immeasurable, let alone Gold-tier elites.

These giants were enormous, with terrifying defense and formidable attacks. Each punch or kick could cause massive damage.

Even though the Xenomorphs were already formidable, ten or eight of them attacking together were like nothing to these opponents.

Gold-tier units were a watershed, clearly distinguishing between veteran student geniuses and elites.

Take Xiang Wang, for example. From the Xiang family and a junior, he could be called an elite. With Dragonkin units, he only had one Gold Tier 1 Earth Dragon, not particularly outstanding among Gold-tier units, merely at the peak of sub-dragons.

Faced with these terrifying Gold units, Xu Luo was also somewhat troubled. After all, his strongest combat power now was only Silver Tier 9. Even if the Queen deployed, a Silver King at most could only match Gold Tier 1 or 2 elites.

As for Soul Butterflies, although they were Gold-tier units, they had limitations. They couldn't directly confront beings like Behemoths and Hill Giants!

More importantly, the enemy's numbers were simply too great.

He controlled numerous Xenomorphs to surround and attack, but many were killed before they could even get close.

But there was no other choice now. He could only arrange for Mayflies to collect evolution points faster while deploying all the units at his disposal.

Once he could bring out the Butterfly Monarchs, with Gold-tier Kings, they could crush these guys.

The melee continued for a while, with heavy losses on both sides.

Just then, suddenly, a Behemoth was seen falling down, rolling around everywhere, crushing and injuring many units on both sides.

Xu Luo found it strange. It wasn't injured, so why did it suddenly fall?

He carefully observed the situation and recalled intelligence about Behemoths.

Behemoths were the royal race of beastmen, born Gold-tier creatures. They could reach Gold Tier 1 just by maturing, even without any cultivation.

These creatures had thick skin and tough flesh, with most weapons unable to penetrate their skin. They also possessed immense strength, capable of dealing terrifying damage.

If they could learn battle aura or magic, they would be even more frightening.

But such terrifying creatures had one flaw: their eyesight was very weak, making them light-sensitive.

Could it be that some Glow Bugs had gotten into its eyes?

Thinking of this, Xu Luo felt he could give it a try.

His Zerg species had become more diverse now. Although most were only Bronze-tier, they all had their uses.

Take Blood Leeches, for example. They seemed useless at Bronze-tier, but in the current situation, Behemoths and Hill Giants were very difficult to approach.

But for small creatures like Worker Bees and Blood Leeches, as long as they weren't killed by other creatures, getting close to them wasn't difficult.

Once Blood Leeches got close to Hill Giants, they would directly suck blood and then self-destruct, with considerable power.

Face Huggers had larger targets. If they could parasitize giants and Behemoths, they could directly eliminate these formidable opponents.

The frenzied Behemoth, rolling on the ground, actually caused massive destruction. Many units from both the human camp and the allied alien camp were collateral damage, and in the current situation, no one could stop it.

Seeing this, Xu Luo felt it was an opportunity, so he dispatched a large number of Face Huggers to descend in that direction. No matter how many were crushed, as long as one could successfully parasitize, it would be worth it for him.

Xenomorphs with Behemoth genes?

The thought alone was terrifying.

On this basis, losing some Face Huggers meant nothing. No matter how many, it was worth it.

So a strange phenomenon formed on the battlefield: while everyone else's units were frantically avoiding the Behemoth, Face Huggers were rushing towards it in waves.

Fortunately, although at a great cost, some Face Huggers finally succeeded in jumping onto the Behemoth. Although it had thick skin and tough flesh, there were still soft spots. One by one, Face Huggers successfully parasitized it and began laying eggs.

The Behemoth struggled more painfully, constantly roaring.

However, its cries soon began to weaken, gradually fading to silence.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The Behemoth's body emitted a series of explosion sounds, then fist-sized creatures began running out from within.

They were very fragile at first, but as they devoured flesh and blood across the battlefield, they quickly grew to over three meters tall, each like a small giant.

Moreover, their strength had reached Silver Tier 9 elite, even more powerful than Earth Dragon Zerg.
