Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 90: This is Indeed a Great Era!

These miniature Behemoths were incredibly powerful, rampaging across the battlefield unchecked. When the original Behemoths saw them, they hesitated, sensing the aura of their own kind, as if these were their offspring.

The Xenomorph Behemoths, of course, didn't hesitate. They frantically attacked every creature in sight, displaying extreme bloodthirst, but their strength was also terrifying.

Even Hill Giants couldn't withstand them if faced with a few hundred; they would be overwhelmed.

The alien genius, seeing this situation, was stunned, especially pained by the loss of the Behemoth.

Each Gold-tier unit was precious, obtained at a great cost, and now one was lost right at the start.

"What are you standing there for? Attack!" He frantically ordered the Hill Giants and Behemoths to launch their assault.

Under the God's intense pressure, the Behemoths, though confused, had no choice but to attack.

However, the Xenomorph Behemoths were incredibly agile. Their size and strength couldn't match the original Behemoths, but this gave them the advantage of nimbleness.

The Behemoths were clumsy, unable to hit them.

Instead, some Face Huggers took the opportunity to jump onto them.

"Don't let those things get close!" The alien shouted. He wasn't a fool; he could see these parasites were unusual.

"What are the rest of you waiting for? Are you only going to be happy after all my units are dead?" He couldn't help but roar at the other alien geniuses.

The loss of even one Gold-tier unit was enough to pain anyone, alien geniuses included.

Losing one Gold-tier unit significantly reduced their strength, potentially putting them at a disadvantage in rankings. A drop in ranking meant fewer resources in the future, affecting their personal interests. Everyone would take this very seriously.

"As you wish!" Seeing he had already lost one Gold-tier unit, the other aliens decided to cut their losses. They stopped watching idly and began deploying their own Gold-tier units.

Why did they dare to watch humans continuously gather?

Weren't they afraid the humans might be stronger?

It was because they were several geniuses together, all with Gold-tier units. Unless the humans also brought several geniuses or top-tier talents, they would still be at a disadvantage facing them!

Now, seeing their side at a disadvantage, they quickly released their Gold-tier units as well.

Besides Behemoths and Hill Giants, there were Mountain Giants, Swamp Giants, Dragons, Angels, and various other units, all with one common trait: they were extremely powerful.

The human side, which had initially seen hope in the powerful Xenomorphs, now despaired at the sight of so many Gold-tier units joining the battlefield.

If there were only a few dozen Gold-tier units, they might have had a chance if they gave it their all. But now there were several hundred Gold-tier units, truly capable of fighting a hundred Silver-tier units each.

With the current strength on the field, they simply couldn't win.

Xu Luo was also troubled, not expecting the enemy to hide such powerful forces.

Several hundred Gold-tier units – even though the Xenomorphs were strong, without achieving Gold-tier themselves, they couldn't directly confront them!

The few Behemoths and Hill Giants that were surrounded and killed earlier were dealt with using the overwhelming numbers of Xenomorphs and assistance from other types of units.

Now, with the increased number of Gold-tier units, the Xenomorphs couldn't counter with numbers alone.

"I'll cover you, you should leave quickly!" A figure suddenly jumped onto the starship's deck, speaking hurriedly.

Blood was still dripping from the great sword in his hand, and his battle armor was in tatters.

He had been fighting fiercely, and even his sword had nicks in it.

Although just an avatar, a Demi-God avatar with a large amount of faith power invested in it still possessed formidable combat power.

"What about you?" Xu Luo's avatar looked at him, suddenly asking.

"If you lose this avatar, you'll lose a lot of faith power. Without units, even if your Divine Realm is safe, you'll be severely weakened. How will you develop in the future?"

"You're more important than me!" Xiang Wang spoke solemnly.

"For humanity right now, you're more important than I am!"

Although he didn't know the other's identity, Xiang Wang knew that someone with such strength at such a young age had limitless potential. Such a person couldn't be lost here.

Especially the avatar – it couldn't be captured by the enemy.

Because there were many divine arts that could locate the main body through the avatar.

Once the main body was located, the Divine Realm would be exposed.

As for leaving the Divine Realm and hiding in the novice main city?

That's exactly what the enemy would want!

The locations of each faction's novice main cities were secrets. Other civilizations didn't know their whereabouts. If someone could lead them there, wouldn't they be overjoyed?

If they knew the location of another faction's novice main city, everyone would spare no effort to gather forces to break through and destroy it. Although it could be rebuilt, it would suppress the opponent's development for a period.

More importantly, breaking through the opponent's novice main city meant all the resources inside would be theirs. Who would give up such a gift?

Hearing Xiang Wang's words, Xu Luo was stunned. He had never imagined that someone would be willing to give up their own escape, believing him to be more important, and instead prepare to sacrifice themselves to give him a way out.

Since coming to this world, his experiences hadn't been particularly good. It wasn't that he had encountered much unfair treatment – although there was the targeting by the Dean, at least Zhong Tianyue treated him well, as did his former homeroom teacher and others.

Mainly, he didn't have much sense of belonging to this world.

Many times, he had a feeling of being just a spectator, detaching himself, and God's Domain felt like a holographic game to him.

He was just a pure player.

It wasn't until this moment that he felt something different.

In the face of alien invasion, so many people were willing to sacrifice themselves, fighting to the last man, even self-destructing their Divine Realm cores, completely giving up their chance to start over, just to perish together with the enemy.

Although there were some who turned and ran, they were the minority. Most people still had fighting spirit.

They could fight amongst themselves normally, but when facing aliens, they had to unite against the common enemy.

This was a terrible era, with aliens harboring ill intentions towards humans everywhere.

But it was also a great era.

Because there were some lovely people here.

Xu Luo felt he wasn't so averse to this world anymore.
