Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 93: Dragon of Dreams “Overestimating yourselves!”

Seeing the group of Demi-God avatars flying towards her, Viia sneered disdainfully.

Her gentleness was reserved only for her God and her people. Since her God's order was to kill all enemies, she would faithfully execute it.

Firmly gripping her giant sword, Viia directly swung out several sword energies, slashing towards those divine avatars, while she herself had no intention of engaging them directly.

Illusory light wings appeared behind her, and her entire figure suddenly vanished, reappearing on the back of a giant dragon. Gripping the sword with both hands, blade pointing downward, she mercilessly pierced through the dragon's body, ignoring the powerful defensive ability of its scales.

The dragon struggled frantically, its tail sweeping towards her, but when it struck Viia, she dispersed like countless specks of light.

The light specks gathered again, this time hundreds of meters away, in front of a Behemoth.

Dream magic in her hands constantly switched between reality and illusion, making her impossible to defend against.

Those Demi-God avatars, despite possessing powerful strength, felt at a loss when facing Viia's slippery pressure.

"I'll go request help!" an alien said, dispersing his avatar and returning his consciousness to his main body.

Dream abilities could only be countered by dream abilities.

Among known species, those possessing dream abilities were Dream Eaters, Dream Tapirs, Nightmares, and the dragon that roams dreams—the Emerald Dragon!

The former were hard to find, but conveniently, they knew an alien who possessed an Emerald Dragon.

As a member of the Gem Dragons, Emerald Dragons were extremely rare, with rather unique abilities. Although not very useful in direct combat, in certain situations, their role was irreplaceable.

Reinforcements couldn't arrive so quickly, so the remaining alien Demi-God avatars were still trying to find ways to resist Viia's assassinations.

They found it difficult to attack Viia, but everyone had some consumable items like scrolls, which they were now using without restraint.

Not to cause great damage, but just to slightly restrict Viia's movements, preventing her from acting so recklessly.

However, Viia was incredibly agile, often walking in the dream realm. You could see her but couldn't attack her, and you never knew when or where she would appear in reality.

Without a specific location, even if they wanted to set up in advance, there was nothing they could do.

When a Gold-tier monarch used their strength for assassination, it was truly terrifying.

No one present was her match, which meant no one could directly obstruct her actions. Whether to kill, who to kill, when to kill—all the initiative was in her hands, and the opponents could only passively endure.

Faced with this situation, some aliens had already started to retreat.

The top-tier ones with Gold-tier units, being wealthy, weren't too concerned about the consumption of Bronze and Silver-tier units.

But the ordinary aliens couldn't afford this!

These Bronze and Silver-tier units were all they had, especially those whose Divine Realms were here. One wrong move, and they would lose everything.

Those whose Divine Realms weren't here could transmit their units back through light pillars and leave, but these aliens couldn't!

Without Divine Realms, they would lose the qualification to develop in God's Domain.

Now, most of the ordinary units on the field had died, especially after the Soul Butterflies appeared, their killing power was too great, incomparable to when the Butterfly Fairies appeared.

At this point, many aliens were not only feeling the pain of loss but also considering whether to relocate their Divine Realms and leave this battlefield.

With units almost depleted, if they weren't afraid now, they would soon become someone else's prey!

Xenomorphs were still rising, using the numerous corpses on the field. After experiencing so many battles and being slaughtered by so many Gold-tier units, the number of Xenomorphs hadn't decreased but showed an increasing trend.

Although many died, Face Huggers were frantically laying eggs, then rapidly growing using the flesh here.

They freely fused genes from various creatures, naturally leading to unimaginable increases in combat power.

What disappointed Xu Luo was that the Xenomorphs' limit was Silver Tier 9, unable to reach Gold-tier, and no Silver Lord had appeared.

He didn't know what the problem was.

Otherwise, given the Xenomorphs' characteristic of absorbing and fusing other creatures' genes, having fused so many Gold-tier creature genes on the battlefield and with abundant flesh to replenish their consumption, they should have broken through to Gold-tier.

But no matter how much they fused, they were still only at Silver Tier 9, not even reaching Lord-tier.

Xu Luo sighed.

He felt somewhat regretful, realizing that without a complete evolution chain, it truly was impossible to evolve to Gold-tier!

In God's Domain, there had always been the concept of unit types.

A unit type meant having a complete promotion system. No matter where it started, at least the source had Gold-tier, which could be considered a complete system.

Creatures naturally at Gold-tier like Angels, Behemoths, Giants, and Dragons were, after all, a minority. Most still had to cultivate slowly from lower tiers to reach higher levels.

Xenomorphs, honestly, were not a unit type. They were just derivatives of Face Huggers, without a next step for advancement. Therefore, it was almost impossible for them to break free from their constraints.

The fact that they hadn't reached Gold-tier even after fusing so many genes already proved this point.

Just as he was considering the next step for Xenomorphs, he saw a bright light pillar descend from the sky, and a figure emerged from it.

"Green Dragon?" Seeing this massive figure, Xu Luo's expression changed. Green Dragons were one of the Chromatic Dragons, known as toxic dragons, particularly lethal to low-tier creatures.

Xenomorphs could surround and kill other Gold-tier units, but facing a Green Dragon, no matter how many Xenomorphs there were, they wouldn't be enough.

This was a natural countering effect.

Xenomorphs could continuously fuse genes to optimize themselves, but Green Dragons would simply poison them to death without reason, rendering even the most powerful abilities useless.

However, upon closer inspection, Xu Luo relaxed.

This wasn't a Green Dragon, though its appearance was incredibly similar.

"Emerald Dragon?" Realizing that Emerald Dragons were dragons of dreams, Xu Luo understood the opponent's intention.

This was specifically brought to deal with Viia!

However, judging by this Emerald Dragon's size, it had probably just reached adulthood not long ago. If it were an Ancient Dragon or Primordial Dragon, it would be fine, but this adult dragon wasn't a match for Viia.

Unless it was an Emerald Dragon King, it couldn't make up for the bloodline gap between them.

Monarch-level beings were just that domineering.

At the same tier, they could suppress you; at lower tiers, they could still suppress you across levels.

Except for those at the same level, other creatures would feel extremely stifled when facing them.
