NOVEL SIMPLE End of first day as dungeon master.
"Are you calm now?"
I asked the crying girl knelt on the floor inside my bedroom.
Now that we are alone, she looks older than me. considering I am actually 19 years old already.
"hmmm." she nods at me while wiping the tears on her eyes.
"Umm." She looks at me expecting something.
"Oh right. I'm Lyca. The dungeon master of this dungeon. You're?"
"Mi...Minna." she stuttered.
"Minna?" I asked waiting for her full name.
But she just smiled at me.
The dungeon suddenly spoke.
"Master. In this world, only nobles or royalty possess Last name."
"Oh... right. Other world difference." I thought to myself as I stare at the girl nodding.
"Master Lyca?" the girl suddenly called me making me surprised when I heard her call me master.
"Minna. Just call me Lyca. You look older after all."
"But..." She asked worried.
"It's fine." I insisted.
"O...okay... Miss Lyca. What will I do here?"
Now that I think about it. What can she do here in the dungeon?
"Hey system. Any idea what can she do here?"
"Master. There are three options you can choose. First, she can work here like cleaning this entire dungeon and other essential works the citizens might need or request. Second, she can act as your liason whenever you want to order this dungeons citizens. she will be your voice in that case. And third, this is a function the system haven't informed Master yet. But you can add up to 3 entity to act as this dungeon's sub master. They can receive the system's support and can help develop this dungeon by their own system interface. However, doing this gives them access to the dungeon itself so it is advised to be vigilant and only choose the trusted ones."
I listened to the system's explanation and while the first and second looks normal, the third one feels kind of risky. Atleast at this early stage.
"I'll have to observe her first. Maybe for few days or weeks." I told myself as I stare at the girl still kneeling on the floor.
"Alright Minna. For now you can work here in the dungeon. Maybe try cleaning this dungeon first. I am not forcing you to clean everything right away. Just do what you can. Also I might ask you to convey my orders sometimes if that is alright with you."
"No no Mas- Miss Lyca. I will do it. Thank you for giving me the chance to live." She even lowered her head low enough to hit the floor.
"Stop that. Raise your head Minna. You are now a part of this dungeon so you will help me develop this place and give me information about outside world and I will make sure you and other future citizens will be able to live comfortably here." I said asking her to raise her head.
"Yes!" She look up to me and smiled happily.
Just as she is about to rush outside the room, I called on to her.
"Wait! it's night time already. Don't tell me you are planning to start cleaning?"
"Oh..." She blushed seemingly embarrassed as she rub her head before slowly look back to me.
"Hey system make another bed here."
I asked the system and after few seconds of rumbling sounds I don't know where from, a bed suddenly appeared beside mine. Like seriously. Instantly. Just like that. Making me surprised.
Even Minna now eyes wide open looking at the bed.
"You can rest here for now. Once I built a house for citizens, You can also live there."
"But miss Lyca. I can sleep outside. This is dungeon master's bedroom right? I am not worthy of being able to sleep in that... soft..." she said but her words start trailing somewhere else as she saw me sit on the edge of the bed. My bum felt like it got swallowed by the soft fluffy bed. Making her stare at it.
"Yes you can sleep here.", I insisted.
"Also I forgot to make a bathroom..." A thought crossed my mind when I saw her dirty clothes.
"Hey system. Can you make clothes for her? Also since there are no bathroom yet, can you also make a basin with water and towel. for two." I asked the system and just like earlier, two basin half full of clean water with towels hanging on the side of each basin appeared near the wall and cleanly folded long white summer dress and underwear appeared on the other bed which will be used by Minna later.
I walked towards the Basin ignoring the frozen Minna standing still as she stare at the basin that just appeared out of nowhere.
Upon dipping my fingers in, I felt the cold water. I scooped some water and pull it close to my nose to give a whiff.
It might look weird but I can't use water without smelling it first. Or if I see something floating in the water, I immediately throw it out of reflex.
I am not a clean freak mind you. Just... instincts let's leave it at that.
"Great." I said as I thought this water is clean.
"Minna. Let's clean ourselves yes? and take that clothes off. or better else, just throw it out. I will provide you with other clean clothes." I called her snapping the girl back to reality.
"wha... whaa... what did just happen Miss Lyca? Ho.. how did the basin appeared suddenly? also this bed... and clothes... is that magic?" She stuttered as she bombarded me with questions.
"Calm down Minna. and this is from the dungeon."
"I... I see?" still not sure what to say, Minna slowly walk towards me before stripping her clothes off.
Now that she is out of her clothes, I can see her pale skin. in fact it looks smooth for a normal village girl. The scars inflicted in her hands and shoulders are still there. The bruised cheek of her now looks normal.
"Hey Minna. Where did you get those wounds?" I asked pointing in the scars.
"Oh... This one is from when I am wandering around for days. From constant running away from the pursuers." She explained as she trace the scars with her fingertips.
"It's alright. You are living here now." I assured her as I dip the towel on the basin Infront of me making it wet enough before taking off my clothes too and start rubbing myself clean.
Minna followed suit albeit, a little shy and casually peeking towards my way.
I honestly don't mind being watched but I feel shy since I have a what my classmates call 'child' like body. although I am 5'2 mind you that's average... I guess? And with this small perky breasts just enough to fit B cup bras, and slender body enough to get called middle schooler or sometimes highschooler.
Once I'm done, I quickly walk towards the bed and decided to ask the system to also give me a change of clothes. It also gave me a long white summer skirt and underwear which is oddly similar to what the system made for Minna. Or more like...
"Hey system. This is just a copy of my clothes isn't it?" I asked once I connected the dots.
"Yes master. This dungeon system does not have any knowledge about outfit combinations from the outside."
"I see. Then how did you arrange this room?" I asked again since I felt confused. if the dungeon system have no idea about outfits outside, then how did it made a room like this inside a dungeon.
"Master. this bedroom is the basic design available at all types of dungeon at level 1."
"Oh... right. There are things like that." I said realizing there are pre built items that comes with the same product just like in online stores before.
After wearing clothes, I dive towards the bed feeling my body sink in as if the bed swallowed me.
"Aaaaahhhh..." I can't help but let out a satisfied moan as I feel my body relax.
Minna finished cleaning herself and now wearing the same clothes as me. But she just stood there beside the bed in-between the two beds.
"What's wrong?" I tilt my face towards her and asked.
"I... I don't think, I deserve sleeping in this bed..." She said looking on the floor with her knees fidgeting.
I sighed and rose from the bed and move closer to her.
she look at me not sure what I am planning but then she yelped.
As for why? It's because I pushed her body making it fall on the soft goodness of the bed.
"Now it's fine." I said laughing before also laying down my bed.
"Just sleep. You need it." I said not looking at her since I am laying down face flat on the soft pillow.
"Yes..." She replied softly.
I can hear her started whimpering as soft sniffing noises can be heard. But I decided to ignore her for now. she need it.
-Meanwhile-
-Outside the dungeon-
Two guys are spotted near the proximity but not close enough for the dungeon system to take notice of as one of the guys looking at the entrance through the use of binoculars.
"Are you certain?" The slender man with mustache asked.
"Yes. I saw her getting dragged by goblins inside." The buffed muscular man replied before folding his binoculars and putting it in his pocket.
"Well, it's a job done then. She is pretty much dead meat now. So what do we do? return back and report she is dead? I'm sure the duke will be glad after that girl's offense."
"Yeah. might as well inform them there are goblin lair in the middle of deep caverns. Maybe a party of low skills adventurers can test their skill there. and If they did, they can just help us report a dead body from inside."
"Seriously though. getting exiled and sending adventures to kill a girl who slapped you because you touched her ass in the middle of the store? I'm lucky I was born male." The muscular man said before hoping on the horse nearby.
"You said it. That fat bastard already have 26 wives and still looking for more. Hell I guess the rich nobles can do whatever shit they want so long as they have money yeah?"The slender man also rode his horse as the two head away to the opposite direction while laughing to each other.
