Summoned to defeat the demons? No way! I’d rather do something else.(A dungeon master/Tower defense/ Civilization building story)

Second day but it doesn’t mean to have a second body

Edited chapter~

Morning struck and I rose from the bed.

Looking around, it seems Minna already head out the room.

"So she is an early riser." I said looking at the neatly fixed bed sheets and pillows arranged.

Now that I have some free time I decided to take a look at the dungeon status panel.

Dungeon Elois

Level:1

Master:Lyca Herz

Total Citizens:21

Human:1
Monsters:18
Livestock:5
Animals:2

Room Slots:6(0 available)
]

"Hey system. I thought animals are counted?" I asked after I saw the panel clearly separating everything.

"Correct master. However, livestock are not accepted for they are not considered by the system."

"Weird. Mind telling me how you differentiate this things?"

"Understood. Only entity with the capability to 'evolve' into higher rank race are considered as citizen. Currently the only race from outside that met the criteria are the human and the two rabbits. Rabbits can evolve into different race called 'Killer Rabbit' once the requirements for evolution are met."

"I see. Wait. Humans can evolve?" I asked as I think of various possible outcomes. Maybe the term high humans like in the fantasy novels I read before actually exists.

"Master. Human evolution are based on the world blessing they obtained. Those who received Hero's blessing can evolve to a race called 'Hero' which differs from human race such as absurd strength and such."

"hmmm..." I hummed as I absorb the information. If what the system said is true, that implies myself becoming dungeon master if I'm right to consider this also as a race.

"Then what about the citizens from the dungeon buildings?"

"Master. They can evolve but not right now as they are part of the system itself. But if the dungeon master gave them a name, they can overcome the dungeon limitations and acquire race evolution. Of course, granted they met the requirements. Although the citizens can still complete the requirements now and this system will inform you once a citizen can evolve before you gave them a name."

"Whoa... so I can have strong goblin and slime?" Excitement came out from my lips as I asked the system again.

"Yes Master."

"Cool!"

With that, I became excited to head out the room while thinking what to do today.

Once I am out the room, I saw Minna diligently using a broom to sweep the dungeon floor. I feel silly watching her so I approached and asked.

"Why are you cleaning the dungeon floor?"

"Good morning Miss Lyca and yes I believe the day starts by sweeping the place yes?" She tilts her head in confusion.

"Is that so?" I seriously don't know if that is right.

As a single child in a well being family, I always spend time reading books, practicing piano or going to club meetings for the weekly photoshoot whenever there are no classes. So this sweeping as morning routine being normal is beyond me.

Although I won't deny the fact that I might be a bit of a spoiled kid but Aliza is always there to help me. Whenever we head outside for shopping which she always call 'date'. She always leads me around. Be it ordering, paying or talking to other staffs whenever we need assistance, I am always standing on her side or behind her.

"Aliza..." her name came out of her mouth as I remember her.

"Yes? Miss Lyca?" Minna asked since she didn't hear me well.

"Sorry. It's nothing. Anyways, For today you can just ask around the place. The goblins are actually smart enough to understand so don't worry. Just ask them if they need help and tell me if you need something or if there is something you don't know."

"Yes miss Lyca!" She bows at me before going back to her own pace.

I watch her continue making a faint smile on my face.

I look at the tents and noticed there are now 12 goblins and 6 slimes.

looks like there is additional one everyday just like what it said on the description.

Although I got to ask...

"Hey system. How do those tents actually produce them? Do they like just pop out from nothing?"

"Master. Dungeon buildings use mana to activate. This includes entity from dungeon buildings. The dungeon itself absorb mana from the air outside to function properly."

"I see." That looks great since it's automatic or maybe semi since I remember multiple consciousness are combined which is made as dungeon system.

"Oh by the way. You mentioned before that getting this dungeon core destroyed won't kill me yes? I got curious. How do you even destroy this dungeon? I don't see any core any where."

Since yesterday, I never saw anything that resembles a core or like what I imagine.

"Master. The dungeon core are located beneath us. Few kilometers deep and it's constantly moving to avoid detection."

"Moving? I thought it's stationary since you call it core."

"That would be the normal case. But that is only if the dungeon is currently on it's slumbering state. Dungeons without dungeon master became useless. It requires a dungeon master to start functioning."

"Then, when I arrived here this dungeon is actually at what you call it again? slumbering something?"

"Yes Master. Only after making you this dungeon's Master, this dungeon started functioning."

"I got it."

Hmm... so does that mean, so long as I remain as dungeon master, this dungeon will work. If so...

"What will happen if I where to die? Will this place cease to function?" I asked thinking about the citizens.

"No Master. First of all. Master cannot die. And second, if something did happen, the closest one to master will become the next dungeon master."

"WHAT?!?I CAN'T DIE???"

I yelled surprised from the revelation making the few goblins look at my way.

"Master. As long as you are the dungeon master, we can create a copy of master and send master's consciousness to the copy if something happens to your main body."

"Err... so basically it's like that right? Back up and copy paste? Isn't this like a computer then?!?" I rub my head with both my hands as I think.

"This dungeon system doesn't know about computer or backup, copy and paste but judging on it's wording, then yes master. we can create backup body for master and transplant master's consciousness. We always make a backup for master every single time. This system apologize if master found it intrusive."

"No... uh... it's true that was intrusive but I don't mind if it will help me survive. Thanks."

"Your safety is our priority master."

So atleast I can't die or maybe not permanently die since they can transfer my consciousness back to another copy.

Then something came up in my head making me smile a little in anticipation.

"Then system. Does that mean, you can make copies of me like you know? clones with their own thought process?"

I mean come on. Anyone would love to have multiple clones. This way, sharing works and looking around can be done by my clones and they also have intelligence so they can think for themselves. And what's more, they are all me. Meaning we all think the same and will be loyal to ourselves.

"Yes Master. However, the current capacity of this dungeon level can only create 1 copy at a time."

"Great. Can you do that then?"

"Yes Master. However, please be aware that once this dungeon provide consciousness to the clone, we can't create another one unless the clone dies or the original dies. Or this dungeon leveled up."

"Got it. Do it." I replied excitedly.

After waiting for few seconds or maybe a minute which actually took around 59 seconds, a body suddenly appeared infront of me.

it is wearing a white summer dress which is exactly what I worn till now. I hope the dungeon can make a different set of clothes now.

I mean if you see a copy of me also wearing the same dress, same ash grey color hair and same height with same body proportions. One could say, I am simply looking at the mirror.

I tilt my head sideways looking at her sides.

The copy also tilt her head mirroring me.

I walk around her circling as I observe the back side. She just stood still as her head follow me.

"Wow. she looks just like me."

"I mean. I am your copy."

the clone replied making me surprised but then I let out a laugh.

The clone also laughed a little.

"Alright. What should I call you?"

I asked the clone now we are facing each other.

"Lyca 1?"

"why Lyca 1?"

"I mean you are the original so you are Lyca 0"

"pfft. really?" Her explanation made me laugh even more.

"Then how about you name me?" the clone asked.

"Err..." I paused thinking.

I mean she is my clone so uh...

"Yep. Let's go with Lyca1." I gave up realizing we really have the same thought process.

"Told you. I am literally you too." She grin at me.

I can't help but grin at her too.

now that we are facing each other, I can't really help but feel creeped out but not that bad. It just felt like you know? Deja vu? or something else that makes my Nape hair shiver.

But she is me. I am her so it's fine.

"Nice to meet you Lyca1"

I held my hand towards her for a shake.

"Nice to meet you too Lyca0" She took my hand and gave it a shake.

the two of us stare stare at each other before started laughing again.

Minna arrived after that and fainted when she saw the two of us suddenly look at her.

The poor girl.

How's the story so far?
