Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 219: A Group of Physically Weak Close-Combat Mages

"That's because you don't fully understand this world!" Batman responded to General Icarus, not at all reassured by his words. He knew that on this world, those who could resist the will of the Icarus mask were definitely not limited to just him and the Joker.

Not to mention the people Batman knew from the past, just considering Robert and Superman, Batman felt they would not be controlled by the so-called power of the mask.

Superman's radiant consciousness could suppress even the dark space, and Batman believed his willpower was equally firm.

As for Robert, there was no need to mention him. His battle spirit, which could even affect reality, left Batman in awe. He had never seen anyone's battle spirit reach such a level. Despite being only a seventeen-year-old teenager, Batman felt as if Robert had been fighting from ancient times to the present...

Besides Robert and Clark, Batman's database contained others with strong beliefs and tenacious wills. Among these people, some were far from being good. If they were to get a mask, it would be a disaster.
"Ah? Is this world that terrifying?" General Icarus initially thought what he encountered was just an exception. Now it seemed that the Earth was filled with dangerous individuals, not just the few he knew. This realization made General Icarus's mask quiver; he wondered if their leader, Tara, could ever restore the glory of their Shadow Troop and the Dark Dimension.

Batman continued to extract information about the Dark Dimension from General Icarus. While General Icarus was quite forthcoming about his siblings, he was more reticent about Tara and the deeper secrets of the Dark Dimension.

And General Icarus knew Batman wouldn't believe everything he said, even if another mask corroborated his story. Unless Batman witnessed the truth of General Icarus's claims...

After Gotham's outskirts suffered devastating damage, the disaster within the city was finally over. The dark knights now protected Gotham under Batman's command, guarding against demons that might appear at any moment.

Batman was indeed Gotham's biggest capitalist, extracting every bit of value from the shadow warriors: no rest, no pay, no compensation for death, a level of exploitation not even Tony Stark would impose on his suits...

After leaving Gotham, Robert looked back at the city shrouded in darkness. The dark power of the masks seemed quite fitting with Gotham's style, at least now. Gotham under Batman's dark power didn't feel out of place.

"I hope you gain more power from the mask; otherwise, you won't be a match for me next time!" Robert thought, watching a demon get overwhelmed by the shadow warriors. "Demons? That Shadow Demon wasn't enough. I wonder if the demon lord I hit with a Kamehameha will come to Earth in a rage?"

"It might be difficult. Diana mentioned Earth is protected by magical barriers, making it not so easy for demon lords to descend. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent his minions instead..."

Shaking his head, Robert vanished, reappearing in another city where Clark was dealing with a sudden demon outbreak.

With a "buzz," Robert's lips curved into a smile as he unleashed the Demon's Curse. The eerie scent of blood and the terrifying aura of hell attracted nearby demons to him.

These lower-tier demons couldn't resist the allure of the mutated Demon's Curse and instinctively charged towards Robert.

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

Next, Robert unleashed a Qi wave, raining down precise hits on each demon, obliterating them and effectively stealing Clark's kills.

"This Demon's Curse has such a use?" Clark's eyes brightened, not upset about Robert stealing his kills. He was actually looking forward to using the Demon's Curse, "With it, we could attract a large number of demons, couldn't we?"

Clark was aware of the Demon's Curse on Robert but had not known it could attract so many demons. Previously, demons were indifferent to the curse, merely leaking some interest, not gathering consciously like now.

"It does, but can you conceal its aura? Carrying the Demon's Curse around might be troublesome, like when I was constantly harassed by shadow ninjas after getting the talisman..." Robert shrugged, speaking softly.

If Clark had a way to conceal the curse's power, Robert wouldn't mind giving it to him. After all, creating another wasn't difficult with so many demons on Earth...

"No problem. I've discovered a strange force field within me that can cover any object. It should be able to hide the Demon's Curse!" Clark said eagerly, "If I use the Demon's Curse to lure out Earth's demons, I might get some rest..."

"Probably not..." Handing the Demon's Curse to Clark, Robert spoke awkwardly, "I now know how the dimensional rift appeared. The Lord's identity is special. After I forced him to self-destruct, his connection with Earth's rules was severed, creating a crack in Earth's dimension..."

"Diana said a group of magicians is dealing with it. Once they're free, they should be able to make it harder for most demons to sneak onto Earth."

"A group of magicians?" Clark's gaze flickered. He wasn't too upset with Robert for causing the rift by killing the Lord.

After all, Valron had gathered twelve talismans. Even if Robert hadn't confronted him, the Lord, influenced by Valron, would eventually regain his freedom.

And once free, the Lord, a fire demon, would likely try to reestablish his rule on Earth. It was just a matter of facing a powerful demon threat or multiple smaller ones.

If the Lord tried to rule Earth, neither Clark nor Robert would stand by. The Lord's fate wouldn't differ much from now; self-destruction was his choice, so he had to bear the consequences!

"That group of magicians is indeed busy, but if I can eliminate most demons quickly, they should have time to deal with the dimensional rift..." Clark's gaze traversed Earth, seeing many magicians dealing with demons, then turned to Robert, "Make another Demon's Curse. Let's split up and eliminate as many demons as we can first!"

"Okay!" Robert agreed quickly, feeling partly responsible. The constant appearance of demons was affecting Earth, especially with Clark running around extinguishing fires. Though Clark's fame grew, it wasn't a solution.

Robert and Clark exchanged glances, vanished, and Robert, suppressing his aura, found and humiliated a demon to death, forcing it to complete the curse before the second Demon's Curse appeared in his hand.

Then, following the same method, Robert continued to humiliate demons, collecting more curses with the Demon's Curse.

Meanwhile, Clark appeared at a gathering of Kamar-Taj magicians, causing alertness, especially among the leaders like Cassius.

The magicians knew Superman, as Kamar-Taj wasn't entirely cut off from the outside world; they even had WiFi. What the WiFi password might be, however, was anyone's guess.

"Superman? What are you doing here?" Cassius asked warily, hands behind his back, ready with magical gestures in case Clark had ill intentions.

"They seem to follow a different magical path than what Robert described..." Clark thought, then smiled warmly at Cassius, reducing the magicians' alertness.

"I mean no harm. I'm here to deal with the demons," Clark said,
