The Journey To Find The New Golden Emperor

CHAPTER 190 **The idea to Counterattack**

Sahara frowned and looked towards the horizon to the west.

It was like she was guided straight towards the thoughts of Nate by the spiritual essence itself and Sahara shivered.

“…General…”

Matthew looked up to see Joshua, who had finally come to give advice to his General but…The body still…

Sahara let go of her link on the far away Nate and went back to healing the General, even though he had stopped breathing a while ago now.

Not stopping Sahara, Matthew took a deep breath in and looked at Joshua. “I need you to focus, can you do that?”

With a nod, Joshua looked away from the General and looked at Matthew. “What is it that you need, Your Highness?”

Matthew got up and wiped his forehead, not knowing what Joshua had just said. “I need a plan.”

Shaking his head to how obvious the last statement was, Joshua went to stand beside Matthew, sighing on his way.

“Of course, Your Highness, but I need numbers, I need to know what they have and what we got!”

Matthew shook his head, really annoyed that he couldn’t hear Joshua, “…I…I can’t hear you but I’m going to tell you what I know and bring you up to date!”

Taking the time to bring Joshua up to date with information, Matthew and he could focus on the problem at hand, while not being upset about the General.

With Sahara there, they had lingering hopes that the General would pounce back and breath again, but they didn’t have courage to ask her outright to do such an amazing type of godly power.

Who were they to state someone can live while someone else dies? And…Wasn’t it just common knowledge that when someone was died…They were gone…

As it was, they had already played with fire and fate, bringing people back from the dead and healing people from the brink of death as well…They should feel grateful to have had this chance! So, asking for the General’s life as well, was that too much?

“They have two small groups coming, they plan to go behind the gold shield!” Sahara stated quickly, then regaining focus upon healing the General.

It was one thing to start from scratch, but with the General’s body still here, and if she worked quick enough, the General could be done not only faster but it should take less of her spiritual essence.

It was one thing to bring a whole body back from nothing, then it was another to just hope to bring someone back to life, after they had stopped breathing.

To a certain extent, bringing someone completely back may have been somewhat easier because you are starting from scratch. Getting someone to breath once again was still annoying because you still had to go through each part of the body to stop the process of what happens after death!

Having to worry about his heart, so that it could pump blood for her, Sahara also had to worry about the lungs being able to take in the new air and then there was making sure good blood was flowing back to the brain, with no bad blood…

Yes, starting from scratch felt like it was just easier in her opinion! But, like stated before, it did indeed take a lot less spiritual essence…

“Two groups…Shield.” Joshua Looked up and nodded, “They’ve figured out that they probably can’t see beyond the shield…”

Matthew looked at Joshua…What was going on now? Why was he looking up?

“All these…Attacks…” Joshua frowned. First things first, he had to get more people to protect their Emperor! Seeing that there was something wrong with Matthew, Joshua went straight to the Bands and told them to go back to the Emperor and protect him.

“Our master...”

Joshua interrupted the Band and furiously looked at him, “Is it not your job to protect the Emperor!?”

“Yes…But we take orders…”

“Pack of fools! He can’t hear what is going on, you know he would order you to do the same so stop wasting our time!”

Joshua took a deep breath in and let it out. He wasn’t good at orders, he only came up with ideas, so he felt overwhelmed having yelled this much…

Joshua then smiled and looked at Sahara, wanting to ask a question. He would have asked her before, but he clearly saw that His Highness didn’t know about getting more protection for the Emperor…Ah, his work was never done!

Matthew saw Joshua like this and said, “You have an idea!”

Looking back at Matthew, Joshua nodded, “They are focusing on attacking and distraction, it makes me wonder about their defense. I wanted to ask Sahara…”

Matthew still didn’t know what he said but seeing Joshua look at Sahara, he did as well.

“How many men could we do? Do you know?” Joshua asked Matthew, trying to save time. Yet, he just remembered that Matthew couldn’t hear him! “Argh, this is so annoying!”

Going back into thought of how they could get more men for an attack, Joshua wondered if Sahara could teleport several times over instead, thinking that might be more of an advantage to them and less of one to the enemy. Isn’t it great if you lose nothing or little, while the enemy loses much!?

If they only had about ten people or so, but teleport after just a number of seconds to another area, the enemy wouldn’t know where to look…Multiple surprise attacks!

…A lot of the two hundred or so that had come earlier to fight the Divine Beast had perished. Those that hadn’t died lost their hearing…

Joshua had come with another lot of men, who hadn’t fought yet, so they could probably do some kind of attack…That was if Sahara was willing to help…

If they were to go out there without teleporting, they would probably take too long, and it would most likely not be a surprise attack…They would probably lose too many just to get to the enemy! So, the only way this plan would work, would be with the help of Sahara…

…It all mattered upon Sahara being able to do this…

Feeling Joshua’s staring upon her, Sahara stopped and sighed.

The General was now breathing, and she had fixed up a lot of his mid-section, but he was not out of the bad yet.

“What is it?”

Looking up at Joshua, Sahara put out her hand to Matthew.

He took her hand, and she used her spiritual essence to have him hear what she hears. It wasn’t through his ears though, it went straight to his head…Sahara wasn’t even sure if this was a meditation or not, because as far as she was concerned, she asked the spiritual essence for help and just hoped that it worked!

There was indeed a rare meditation that could help someone with a loss of limb be able to temporarily use another person to help them. It didn’t last long, and it is rare simply because it was quite hard to learn. There’s nothing in the books about ‘talking to the spiritual essence’ like Sahara does, instead there’s technical babble that goes through a lot of people’s heads…

Anyway…It was a weird type of conversation, but they finally came to some understanding and agreement.

Sahara’s roll was to teleport a bunch of fighters randomly around the enemy’s troops, and they will attack them instead! The idea upon this was only made because the enemy seemed to be occupied upon attacking and misdirection, so they might be able to gain something against them if they knew that the Green Haven forces can still do something  from their positions in a way to harm them! If they had to worry about defending as well, they might lay off or even completely stop the battle, the war…So, as far as Sahara was aware, it seemed like a good strategy, and luckily, they had her to do this type of cheating plan!

Matthew was against Sahara going and Sahara actually nodded in agreement, wanting to fully pay attention to teleporting the troops that she sends into the enemy army that wasn’t too far away. Luckily, distance shouldn’t be too much a problem with using spiritual essence, the problem was the men and how many there were. She would have a tough time keeping tabs on all of them and once again put faith into the spiritual essence to help her…

To be honest, she liked depending on others like this, as to just killing them all herself or teleporting them away. Sometimes she had to remind herself that this wasn’t just her problem, well, by all means she should help but not accomplish all of it by herself.

If she were to do everything herself…Well, a quote came to her about responsibility and let’s just say that she was too lazy to want so much work upon her shoulders!

Accepting her role easily, she then offered to finish healing the General, to which both Matthew and Joshua happily agreed to. They were extremely happy that their idiot friend will return to them and most likely even help them with the upcoming offensive fight that they were planning to do.

So, Sahara went back to work, leaving Matthew again to be unable to hear but he took that time to meditate and try to get some rest…

If Green Haven had done their attack force when they had come to the agreement of doing so, instead of waiting for the recovery of the General, they may have been able to disrupt one team of Nate’s that was going to infiltrate Green Haven…

But…Since it took more time to heal the General, the team that was going to travel with the elemental balls towards the shield and then glide over to the side of Green Haven that didn’t have the golden shield, were able to get in!

But…Because Sahara had been able to tell someone that two groups were coming, where the Bands were sent off and put on guard against infiltrators and assassins, there was a high chance that these two groups weren’t going to succeed.

What was annoying, Sahara thought and stopping her from focusing a hundred percent, was the idea of attacking the army.

She had come up with the idea ages ago, but it did not happen because the offensive army had not made the choice to attack, and they had not done any ‘wrong’ yet.

Knowing that she couldn’t do selfish acts and that she had to wait upon people to make their ‘bed’, Sahara hated how now the idea of attacking the army earlier was thought of once again!

It really was so annoying!

They could have saved a lot of people, if they had attacked before the battle had begun, but…Then…

…Humans sucked!

She knew that the army could have changed their minds but knowing now that they hadn’t, made things really stupid in her eyes.

How many people have died now?

Before, if they had attacked or perhaps talked to them, maybe some of them wouldn’t have died but now, now that it was too late…

There had to be some way to…To stop this! Yet, at the same time, Sahara knew that fighting was pretty much a part of being human too.

The world was chaos…And stupid!

If we didn’t have to fight one another…

Sahara had the sudden theory then, that Earth and the shooting games on computer or consoles may have, to an extent, actually satisfied human’s want to attack or whatever…If this world suddenly had some place, to place their attacking urges…Would there be some strange seize fire?

Wait…The Haven’s haven’t gone to war in ages! It was like the wild outback held some type of forced peace upon the Haven’s!

This planet is so different to Earth that…Well you can’t compare, that was how different they were! But still…

Sahara couldn’t help but think that perhaps some type of game might actually help suppress a human urge to attack to some small, itty bitty degree…

Nonetheless, Sahara could only sigh and finish healing the General.

As the General was told upon what was going on, making Sahara a bit confused upon why he could hear when he had been out there with Matthew upon that roar from the Divine Beast, Sahara went into meditation to get more of her spiritual essence back…Again, this was done with help of the spiritual essence to make things happen faster. It wasn’t because she had any kind of magical help to forward time, no, it was help in the way of bringing the spiritual essence to her faster.

The General was amazed that he was even alive once again and found it hilarious that he had come back…He felt like a god…He was some ‘unbeatable’ god now, or something, but Sahara just turned off her ears to his stupidity.

Everyone cheered upon his return and couldn’t help but feel elated to see their General on his feet once again, even Matthew was happy, giving his friend a rare hug!
