The Journey To Find The New Golden Emperor

CHAPTER 192 **Such a long Day**

There was simply way too much going on, as the Emperor had to fight off some earlier infiltrators or assassins that had been caught or killed. They figured that they may have come through in the earlier elemental balls or something, when the golden shield had not yet come up. Or perhaps they had already been in Green Haven the entire time!? Nonetheless, since they had been reported that some people were coming to try and assassinate the emperor they never questioned where this first lot of ambushers really came from…As there was just no time to interrogate anybody right now!

There was a high-ranking fight between two old people that only started with a space of just a few meters, that expanded quickly into a hundred meters or so, and yes, they were leaving behind a mess…

Then, there was the army that was slowly moving, there was the small offensive team towards the gold shield and then…Sahara’s attack group!

Sahara not only got Naruto involved in attacking, making him bigger, but also had thought of the Divine Beast yet again.

She wished that she could make the Divine Beast roar, making them all lose their hearing, like her man did! But…What she thought was just as good was squashing them!

They had, after all, decided to attack!

So…She was able to do whatever now without holding back!

So, with Naruto and the rest teleported among the enemy army, Sahara then teleported the Divine beast just above another part of the offensive army, so that the Divine Beast would land on top of them!

Sadly, she couldn’t make the Divine Beast lay down, it was only to step on them but still, it was a little of what they gave back to them…Sort of like karma!

Teleporting the Divine Beast away, Sahara connected herself to the attack force and teleported them to another area of the enemy forces, surprising a second area, while Sahara did the same thing with the Divine Beast, squashing a part of the army and then teleporting the Divine Beast away…

Sadly, this was all she could do…Twice…

The Green Haven men that went into the fray may have not worked out as good as they all hoped but there were only minor problems…Sahara trusted the spiritual essence to help her with this, so not all the men were completely on the ground upon being teleported. Some had fallen over, some had teleported on top of the enemy, literally…

Before long screams and slashes were heard across a specific part of the land...

The enemy army were caught so surprised that most of those who perished didn’t even hold a sword. They hadn’t much time to defend themselves at all!

Nate had never thought about defense…At all…They never thought, being so far away from Green Haven, that something like this would happen!

Their moral was high, so high that not one had thought that any type of offensive procedure would have been done! The loss was indeed high, when the Green Haven men didn’t even get much more than a few scratches and bruises, perhaps one or two got stabbed, but no one died…

Teleporting the men back to her, Sahara fell to her side and her head fell to the ground, her eyes closing…

So exhausted…

It was unknown upon how many of the enemy had perished, it was unknown on how long it would take for the offensive army to see what had happened everywhere and not just where the Divine Beast had gone…And then, it was unknown on how long it would take for the offensive force to make a decision upon continuing or retreating with their army but…What Green Haven had decided upon now, was to give the enemy a chance to retreat, especially when they were all so exhausted!

Naruto licked Sahara with his big tongue, making Matthew frown as he picked her up.

And just as they thought that they could take a break, Steven came to them…With a crying baby…

Kin was hungry…

And so…Sahara had to be awakened so that she could feed Kin…Well, that as well as turning a big beast small again…God knows what he’d get up to being so big!

“Reporting, Sir, twenty lost in the east, another ten wounded.”

“Fifty lost in the south, Sir, another hundred wounded!”

Nate clenched his fists and angrily held his eyes shut.

It had to be that damned woman!

What a scary trick!

He had not even expected that they’d try to attack them!

All that he had been aware of was that they were only defending!

How utterly disgraceful!

His attacking elementalist’s were dead, so there were no more elemental balls. His shamans were gone! The Divine Beast was gone! Then, some of his men were gone before they could even do anything!

“Halt!” Nate stated, standing still for a time. “Bring back the advance…I’m going to go and think…”

If the woman can teleport, it meant that it could happen anytime…They had to stop, which might be enough to make her stop but…

Dammit!

If only teleporting was not able to be done! If only!

“Another twenty-one dead to the north, sixteen wounded.”

“Stop that attack!” Nate stated, “Just stop.”

That woman could probably even see if they go towards Purple Haven too…

Will she defend Purple Haven?

As much as Nate hated the fact that having an army, so that it could be squashed or taken by surprise, was a burden, he thought that he had no other choice right now but to send it back…That or just let them all die…

Making each one of them charge in…Wasn’t really that bad of an idea…

Perhaps if he could somehow get Green Haven to exhaust all of their spiritual essence so that they couldn’t defend against them…

He needed time to think! It wasn’t because he didn’t have plans, it was because he had underestimated the Green Haven’s forces and needed to put that into his calculations...

“Scatter out a bit, don’t bunch up like a pack of idiots!” Nate yelled out.

His decision was known through the army and so, over some time, the army spread out, while the dead were picked up and put on some carts.

“We are eating and resting here!” Nate stated, looking at a far distance where the dead were being picked up.

Lucky that he had not perished all of a sudden…

What he had seen in that attack was a big fox! If that fox had been a few more steps towards him, he was sure one of the tails would have made him fly!

Dam that woman! If only she were on my side…What a great ally she would make!

“I think it’s time that you return to the palace, Your Majesty. If more assassins have come to get you it will be easier to keep you safe there!” A band stated to the Emperor, as a third enemy fell dead to the ground. This was the second time that the enemy had attacked the Emperor!

“Indeed…Then this King well leave now, Felix, come with me!”

With that, the Emperor left, but did not hesitate to bark out orders while walking away.

“Keep the reports coming from the other areas…And find me Sahara! She has a job to do!”

Felix followed after his father suddenly remembering about a white pill that could help get back his spiritual essence, “Imperial Father, did you happen to have any white pills that I could take so that I can continue to help?”

The Emperor stopped and looked at his son, “So it is true, that you have none left?”

One reason why he didn’t stop Sahara from taking his son in as her apprentice was because of white pills!

Felix bowed his head, not wanting to nod to his own weakness.

“A future Emperor should never be empty!” Stated his father, but Felix narrowed his eyes as he looked at the ground.

Suddenly looking up at his Imperial father, Felix swallowed, “Do you have a pill or not, Your Majesty?”

This boy dares not only to want to take one of my pills but to talk back to me like this!

“Let’s go!” Was all His Majesty said, before continuing to walk.

Felix didn’t move, just watching his father walk away. Will he ever be good enough for this father of his?

Remembering that his father had already asked for Sahara to come to see him, Felix decided to follow his father and wait for his master to come to his father’s bidding to ask for a pill, so that he could then go back and help his Haven…

“They have stopped.”

Sahara sighed, knowing that Nate had not given up just yet.

“Unbelievable.” Joshua stated.

Holding Matthew’s hand, Sahara told Joshua Matthew’s thoughts, as though he didn’t have a mouth either. “We must stay vigilant.”

Nodding, Joshua said, “I’ll get some of the men who haven’t rested yet to sleep, get others to keep watch.”

The attack had lasted for about two hours, now another hour had passed with nothing. It seemed like it was all over, but the offensive army was still there! In this hour, with an exhausted Sahara, they had nothing to do but see what the other army was going to do.

Joshua went off and Sahara felt Matthew’s arms around her. He was exhausted and dirty but at the moment, he felt relieved that she was alright, along with his son. He was happy to be alive and able to hug her like this!

Sahara smiled and leaned into him, “You need rest.”

Through his touch, she heard his voice, ‘I know.’

Making an earth bed, then a covering it with a sheet and then a blanket, she made Matthew lay down.

People that were around gasped as they watched His Highness, the Second Prince get treated so favourably.

They couldn’t say anything though, their Prince deserved it!

With the attack force, Matthew had cut down the most opponents, using his flying and shield technique and they were all in awe!

The General was probably the third best, after the big Naruto, who was now down to size and sent back to Golden Haven.

Actually, what took their attention now was the fight between Christian and Hector. They both were clearly becoming exhausted, but they couldn’t seem to finish the fight!

Seeing that Christian had more spiritual essence then Hector, Sahara was sure that Christian should win, in fact…Christian’s rank was higher than Hector’s yet…

Didn’t her father-in-law find this annoying?

Sahara let out a chuckle and shook her head…

Men!

Both Hector and Christian just could not let it go, they wanted to outlast the other. Christian didn’t want to kill Hector and Hector had Christian’s respect, so they fought on the same level…

Now there was a crowd watching over them, as half the men were sleeping not far away.

If it weren’t for a battle that could potentially take place at any minute, the men might think that this night was really nice.

There was a nice gold shield that was quite mesmerizing, not too far away. Of course, there were the stars, the fight and well…Having worked so hard just to survive, things just felt that little bit extra…Beautiful…

With Sahara sitting up on the edge of the bed, holding Matthew’s hand, Matthew was out like a light, sleeping soundly.

Sahara sighted Steven and Kin, not too far away, watching Christian and she smiled. Without even knowing it, Christian was looking better as a father, simply because he was fighting…

Again, Sahara shook her head…

Men!

Why was it that they were impressed with fighting!?

Whatever…

Putting her head back, trying to get a bit more comfortable, Sahara ended up turning sideways and leaned against the top of the bed. This was good enough…

And indeed it was, Sahara feel asleep still holding Matthew’s hand.

Seeing this, the General sat down not far away and became His and Her Highness’s guard, even shushing people that were being too loud!

It had been…Such a long day…

Not too long later, the sun went down…
