The Prophet Didn’t Mean to Fall in Love! [BL]

Chapter 7: Turret

Yue looked at the time on a magic watch he had laying around and noted that it was early but still a relatively acceptable time to be awake. He immediately went to the bathroom and dealt with his ‘issue’. Afterwards he bathed, mostly sitting down in the tub wondering what to do with his life now that he had discovered his own possible subconscious sexual attraction toward someone of the same sex.

On one hand, this was life changing and on the other hand he would end up having to marry a man anyway so it only helped his cover. And on a mysterious third hand, he might have feelings for a Man who was already probably part of an arranged marriage.

“How am I gonna do this project with him now?!” Yue exclaimed and slumped down so more of his body was under water. Even if he knew for a fact whether it was a dream or a prophecy it was weird to think that Viktor would actually like this clearly male body of his.

He groaned once more and stood, deciding to ignore the dream for the time being and focus on school work and what was actually physically happening in his life. He was tempted to look at his own future as he sat in front of the mirror, ready to do his makeup and hair. He took a deep breath and did so after arguing with himself internally for a second.

He saw himself in a dark forest running after a furry creature. He was wearing expedition clothes and he felt a rush of worry as the creature reached a clearing. He quickly used magic infused into his sword to cut it down but it was too late. A ripple appeared in the air and a large portal appeared.

“A dungeon?!” He heard a girl’s voice behind him exclaim.

“Fuck..” He heard a familiar voice murmur. Viktor appeared right beside him and looked distraught. They both had monster blood all over their clothes already and when he looked behind him he found that his classmates were injured and barely standing.

He pulled himself out of the prophecy. The prophecy didn’t show good news or anything happy but overall it was good. It completely took his mind off the dream. He kept thinking about it as he did his hair.

He put his hair in a half up half down style with the part that was up in pigtails. He snapped out of it as he did his makeup, choosing a green color to line his eyes with instead of the usual red. He wore a green and white Hanfu so it all matched better. He found himself looking particularly dressed up today but he didn’t pay much attention, he was trying to gauge the time where the prophecy took place. He clearly remembered a full Moon in the prophecy so it was a minimum of one month away.

He quickly wrote the details down in a small journal. He ended up also looking through it to see his unfulfilled prophecies. A couple of them seemed much more possible now. Such as one where he was pointing a rapier at a blonde man, the prophecy happened a year before he came to the academy, he didn’t expect it to become possible so quickly. He did find that the rapier wasn’t the rapier he now owned however.

He sighed and checked the time. He brought the notebook with him, everything was written in chinese so it didn’t really matter if Viktor read it. He went on his way to the library where he agreed to wait. He found a carriage already waiting for him.

“You’re early..” Yue murmured, awkward as he remembered the dream again.

“You are too.” Viktor said and smiled, helping Yue into the carriage.

They didn’t really talk on the carriage ride. Yue was a bit surprised about Viktor’s clothes, even though it was a day off, he hadn’t loosened up at all. While Yue had chosen a less formal and more sweet looking Hanfu to wear, Viktor’s clothes were the same as usual. A white blazer over a white dress shirt with a blue vest and white pants and shoes. The thought that it might be because he was visiting crossed Yue’s mind but he pushed it away not wanting to delude himself.

They arrived at Viktor’s manor and Yue had clearly gotten the hint that Viktor liked the color white, the entire mansion was white other neutral tones and light blue tones. The manor was also very large, it was much bigger than the foreign student dorm.

Viktor helped Yue out of the carriage and led him into the manor. They ended up going straight to a courtyard area that Viktor had prepared with various servants carrying grimoires and magic books and materials they might need.

“Let’s get started.” Viktor said and opened a case of magic chalk.

Yue was a bit surprised by the quality of all of the items Viktor had gotten.  He remembered the painful times when he had to either make the chalk or paint for his spells himself. Not all spells had to be actually drawn but spells that had multiple layers and were being essentially created did need to be drawn.

Viktor was surprised when Yue didn’t hesitate to get down on his knees to draw the first magic circle himself. Viktor expected Yue to use magic to just move the chalk around so he could draw it but he ended up judging it so he could move around more easily. Viktor smiled a bit and got to work on the levitation magic circle. Yue skipped over so he wouldn’t mess up the lines of any of the circles and began working on the bonding circle.

Their spell required a mix of different techniques so the magic circles gradually got bigger as they surrounded the previous circle. The first spell was material creation to make the materials needed to create the tower. Levitation created the shape of the tower, Bonding bound the materials together and to the ground. The last spell was a spell that they created that allowed the exact spell to be recreated by extracting the archive particles of the spell.

In the end they ended up creating two spells for the project just for the convenience of being able to reuse the last spell to create other structure creation spells.

“It looks more like a turret..” Viktor murmured looking at the tower they created and the complicated magic circle that had been created.

“Well, I think it’s weird that they had us make a tower instead of a house so I guess this might’ve been what they were going for. They probably wanted us to make it easier for them to make bases during battle.” Yue sighed.

Viktor nodded and sighed. He motioned for Yue to sit down at the small table that had been set up for them to have some lunch together. After lunch they started engraving the magic circle onto a magic crystal to allow the spell to be recreated constantly. It took a while since they also had to test them and infuse them with magic.

By the time they finished it was almost sundown but the sky looked much darker.

“I think it will rain..” Yue murmured. Viktor looked up from what he was doing and looked at the sky.

“Probably.” He said, he looked at a maid and spoke to her in Russian before turning back to finish his engraving.

Thunder suddenly rang out and startled Yue almost making him drop the grimoire he was holding. Viktor sighed and stood, noting that It looked more like a storm than just rain.

“Let’s go inside.” He said and carefully placed the magic stone he was engraving into a small box and used levitation magic to carry the materials that were still outside into the manor.

Yue followed him inside and immediately afterwards it began to rain heavily.  Another servant came and talked to Viktor in Russian and Yue just tilted his head, confused.

“The weather crystal said there was a chance of flooding…” Viktor said and had the servants take the materials away.

Yue immediately came to the realization that this would mean that he would probably have to say the night. There was no teleportation area in the dorm and going out while it was raining that hard was dangerous.

“I can set up a room for you and some clothes, they might not be to your liking though..” Viktor murmured.

‘As long as it’s not that necklace I’ll take any clothes..’ Yue thought, absolutely terrified about the direction this could go.

“That’s fine.” Yue murmured, taking his fan from his sleeve to hide his expression a bit as he felt his cheeks heating up.
