The Scientist of Monster Creation, forcefully Hired

13. It’s Fine

First thing First, using the down tuned Version of the Spell for creating an image of organic Structures.
This one follows along natural ways and rivers of the Body.
The Internal Organs should be fine, but are they properly connected?
And how is the Muscle Fiber?
Wait a Minute, what about the Joins?

Chloe cast the Spell, probing the Condition of the Body.
As expected, some blood veins are… wired? weirdly.
Focusing on that Part, Chloe imagines how it would look correct.
She can only imagine how the blood veins of Human should be connected, but some parts are too weird.
Knicks in the veins, weirdly merging with the Muscle Fiber, going between the Joints or not properly connected to the Heart.
Doesn’t matter for a Zombie. The Test one missed the Back of his Knee and could walk.
But this is supposed to be a better Zombie.

Or rather, her learning Experience. She could give Robert a Undead Worm if she wants to.
The Request was just for a new Cannon Fodder Undead, not something usable.
And spitting him in the Face could be fun, but she can’t charge him much like that.
Learning and earning Money, while the Quality of the End product doesn’t matter, isn’t that nice?

Next are Joint and Muscle Fiber.
It would be better to do one at a Time, but at some parts there just to close together.
She goes along the right Arm up, till the Shoulder.
The Back is a bug problem zone, which she does last.
The right Arm is now completely relaxed, before being a bit strained.
She repeats that with the other Limbs.

Now the Head.
The Neck is completely stiff. It’s a Mess.
It wasn’t even this bad at the fingers. Is it because the Fingers are so thin, that there is less to mess up?
Let’s postpone the Neck for now. The Mess goes all long the Spine.
The Eyes, Ears and Nose aren’t really connected. That’s gonna be hard.
Before, i just had to look were the Muscle Fiber derivatives, and then straighten it out.
Currently, she can’t really see everything of the Ears and so on.
So, two spell at once? Let’s try it interchangeably.

After trying out, it’s feasible. But taxing. Let’s hope two spells at once Work.
Nope, doesn’t really go well. To much Information again and again.
But I have an Idea for improvement. I only need to know what changed, not getting the whole thing re uploaded into my brain.

The spell Works. But very inefficient, I would say.
The spell memorises the previous structure, the Mana then is mostly dormant.
I have to supply a steady stream so it doesn’t disperse. At least, not most.
When I changed something, I send a pulse, which only shows me the changes.
I can keep the pulse up, to witness the change live.
Or at least, with delay.

I managed to connect the Eyes halfway properly, as far as my knowledge goes.
It is mental taxing.
I also found out that the Rooms supply Mana to me, and that the steel from before wouldn’t be that expensive in a percentage upkeep.
But it’s multiple Times of what I need for the others.
Is having much Mana (presumably) a boon from the God of Creation?

Mentally, I feel drained, but not exhausted.
It’s bad that I don’t have any form of entertainment.
The best I can do is to get to work again.

Thats what Chloe does. She connected everything else in two Sessions.
Afterwards, she did the Back and repeated everything with the frontside of the Body.
She also managed to get the skill Focus, since she distracted herself from her mental State.
The mental exhaustion comes from the continuing use of Mana. Most Mages manage it better with experience.
It also isn’t uncommon to have skills against that.
What’s different for her is the skill Calm Mind and her boosted Mana reserves.

Calm Mind prevents the degrading of the rational Ability. Normally, thinking straight becomes increasingly harder.
Most Mages Dhabi to nearly Empty there Mana before the first Effects. Unaffected if it’s much or just a little.
And they actually have to empty their Mana reserves, or rather, their whole reserves worth of Mana.
Any Mana more, regenerated or otherwise, will add up to the mental exhaustion.

The form of Mana exhaustion doesn’t induce sleepiness or other physical phenomena.
It’s everything in one’s Mind. Because every Effect gets Countered by Calm Mind, Chloe only feels the mental drain.
She would like to stop, but doesn’t have any activities she could leisurely do.
And wasting Time is something very bitter for her, so she pushed through.

She also managed to most of the Body.
The body is Hair and Genderless. Also having a Stone inserted next to its heart.
Chloe isn’t worried about Hair, since the Skin has anything it need to grow some.
The other thing would be it Eye colour. It’s grey, like every Eye she has, besides her very own.
It has probably something to do that not every Zombie looks the Same.

”Soooo, wake up?”

*groan groan*

That worked?
Anyway, can I now reg…
The skills!
The Zombie should do, but I wanted to find out what’s behind the skills!

Can I grant the Zombie skills?

Okay… Running?

Running
Gives Monster an innate Sense on how to Run. Ineffective if the Monster already has one.

Okay, good. Are there also things like Sprint bust or Sprinting?

Sprint Burst Lv 1-10
While Running, receive a sudden Burst of Speed. A Great Deal of Stamina while be used. Additional Speed increases with Level. Additional Stamina can be used for more Speed with increasing Level.
Sprinting Lv 1-5
For using a more Stamina, a Run can change into a sprint where speed is greatly increased. Continuing use while Exhaust someone Faster. Manoeuvrability while be restricted while be restricted on use. Speed increases with Level. Manoeuvrability while increase with level.

Good good. That’s what I want to see.
But I will probably refrain from Sprint Burst.
I don’t know how Stamina behaves for Undead, but the power comes from the Dungeon.
Combined with that Undead shouldn’t be able to get exhausted, it sound like a to string combination.

… Why do I feel like some kind of game designer?

Anyway. Running is a must.
I don’t know much about Zombies, but the grace of the one I summoned convinces me that Zombies don’t know how to run.
Then, maybe Sprinting at Level 2? It only has five Levels. It means it doesn’t need more.
Is it because higher level will be to strong, or that such a fundamental skill doesn’t need whole ten level?

Let’s try Running and Sprinting Lv 2.
For experiencing how that works is exactly what I want to find out.

Do you want to attach Running for 300 Gold on [Unnamed Template]?
Do you want to attach Sprinting Lv 2. for 1200 Gold on [Unnamed Template]?

So expensive! How will other skills end?
And Unnamed Template? Should I name it beforehand?
Can I name it Sprinting Zombie? Oh, Name confirmed.
And yes, please attach them.

1800 Gold. Better than before.
Still, I feel poor again.

Anyway, I need to test some thing.
Let’s put the Physical Testing Room to use.

”…”

After some testing, the running speed of the Zombie is 3,502 m/s. Not very impressive, but at least he didn’t fall at his face.
Sprinting would be 11, 56 seconds for 100 Meters. I measured it in ways I can easily understand.
The sprinting Time isn’t bad, for an average Person. But who will ever face a horde of grotesque being like skeletons and Zombie won’t be average.
And i have the feeling that the Sprinting skill has a but if freedom to how much Stamina can be used.
Its running speed isn’t very good, and shouldn’t be elevated to such highs.
My theory is that the Zombie did exactly hat I said and put everything on being as fast as possible, not regarding if it’s Stamina is limited.

And if it’s limited is something I also want to find out.
The Answer? I decided that even if it isn’t, it would be good enough.
The Zombie outlasted my Patience, at least.

I believe I can sell him like that.
Can I make him into a Blueprint?

You already have the Blueprint Sprinting Zombie.

Since when?
