After Hikaru-san woke me up, we packed our things and left the roof.
I was a little confused about the sleepiness I had on the roof after finishing my meal, I was sure I had slept early yesterday.
(I guess sleeping early yesterday wasn't enough for the sleep I ended up accumulating until late at night reading.)
When I concluded why that happened, I pushed the thoughts out of my mind, and went with Hikaru-san to our classrooms.
Before arriving at my classroom I thanked Hikaru-san once again for the bento that she made for me.
“Thank you again Hikaru-san, the bento was very good and tasty.”
“I appreciate your compliments Takahiro-kun, tomorrow I'll bring you another one.”
“What!? No, it's okay, I'm glad you did this for me, but I don't want to be a hassle for you, Hikaru-san.”
“It's okay Takahiro-kun, I like doing this.”
“No, but-”
“I said it's okay.”
As I tried to refuse, Hikaru-san gave me a look that made my skin crawl.
(Wow, it seems like her eyes have lost their sparkle.)
“O-okay.”
“Great!! We'll talk later then, bye Takahiro-kun.”
“See you later Hikaru-san.”
As if the expression she made just now had never happened, Hikaru-san smiles and says goodbye.
I'm amazed at how she can change her expression so quickly.

Then the class alarm rings and I start to rush to the classroom.

I managed to get to class before the teacher, which was a relief, but the boy who arrived five minutes after him wasn't so lucky.
(It looks like he's going to get a serious lecture later.)
While the teacher was explaining his subject, I received a message on my cell phone.
It's a good thing I leave my cell phone on vibrate mode during class, in case of an emergency.
One time I received a notification about a manga I wanted to read that was on sale, but my cell phone was silent and when I noticed the notification, the manga's sale had already ended. Since then, I always leave it on vibrate mode.
So I secretly take out my cell phone and enter the chat app, I realize that the message was from Hikaru-san.
[Can we go home together, Takahiro-kun?]
(Huh?!)
I'm surprised by Hikaru-san's sudden message.
[Is it okay for you to go home with me? Don't you have other things to do with your friends?]
[They're going to some clothing and accessories stores in town, but I want to go straight home]
[And…. You're my friend too Takahiro-kun]
I don't know why, but I blushed when I read the message.
[Okay…. okay Hikaru-san, where can we meet?]
I decided to accept Hikaru-san's request, after all she's my first and only friend of the opposite sex that I've made this year.
[I'll wait for you near the school gate Takahiro-kun.]
[Okay, see you later then Hikaru-san.]
Hikaru-san sends an emoji of a panda giving a thumbs up after I confirm with her where we'll meet to go home together.
After finishing talking to Hikaru-san I put my phone away and start to turn my attention back to the teacher.

With classes coming to an end, the last bell rings, the teacher packs his things and leaves, the other students also grab two things and start leaving.
While I wait for everyone to leave, I hear some students inviting others to go to karaoke, to game stores or to other stores.
After everyone left, I finally got up and left.
I was walking faster than usual, I didn't want to keep Hikaru-san waiting too long.
(Good thing I sent a message saying it would be a while.)
Arriving at the shoe locker, I change my indoor shoes for outdoor shoes, and head straight to the school gate.

(I can't calm down.)
I was waiting for Takahiro-kun in front, he had sent me a message saying it would be a while, I was really looking forward to seeing him again.
I had seen him at lunch time, but I already missed him.
I take out my phone and check my appearance on the front camera. I brought some makeup. Before leaving school, I stopped by the girls' bathroom and put on some makeup.
Since that day, I started carrying some beauty supplies in my bag, just in case I didn't have my makeup on.
After checking my appearance, I put my phone away. Then I heard a voice that I would never forget.
"Hello Hikaru-san."
"Ah!! Takahiro-kun, you're here, hello."
I smile brightly when I see him.
"Shall we go?"
"Yes, let's go."
Takahiro-kun and I start walking home together.
(I'm so happy about this, I think I ended up getting a little wet because of the happiness.)
