After meeting at the school gate with Hikaru-san, we started walking home together.
I'm a little nervous, I don't know how to start a conversation with Hikaru-san, it's my first time walking together with a girl.
While thinking of a topic to start a conversation, Hikaru-san broke the silence.
"Do you have anyone you like at school, Takahiro-kun?"
"Huh?!..... Well, for now I don't have anyone in mind, Hikaru-san."
"I see."
Hikaru-san seemed happy with my answer.
"But is it you, Hikaru-san?"
"Yes, I have someone I really like, but we're not dating yet."
"Hmm, I see."
That "yet" of hers is almost as if she's sure that she'll be able to date this person.
She's right to be confident about that, Hikaru-san is very pretty and I'm sure any boy would want to date her.
"I'm glad you have someone you like Hikaru-san, I'm happy for you, I hope everything works out with that person in question."
I express my feelings to her with a smile on my face.
I have no problem with people who are in love, everyone has the right to love anyone and as Hikaru-san's friend I support his feelings.
"Thank you Takahiro-kun."
Hikaru-san thanks me, but his face looks a little red, it must be because of the sun, it's a little hotter than usual today.
Then Hikaru-san seems to remember something.
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot, I need to stop at the market to buy some ingredients for tomorrow's bento, could you help me buy the things Takahiro-kun, I don't think I can carry everything by myself."
"Sure, Hikaru-san."
“Thank you Takahiro-kun, let’s go.”
Since she’s going to make me a bento again tomorrow, I’ll at least buy the ingredients with her.
I feel bad for she doing it alone without me being able to help her with anything.

Hikaru-san and I stopped at a convenience store near the station. She said she needed to buy ingredients to make karaage.
So we picked up the ingredients and went to the cashier. I offered to pay for the ingredients since she was going to make me a bento too, but she refused my request.
I tried to insist, but she gave me the same look she gave me when I tried to refuse the bento today, so I gave up on paying.
With the bags in my hands, which didn’t seem to be very heavy, I decided to accompany Hikaru-san to her house.
One thing I noticed is that we took the same train. That explains how I managed to save her that day.
Then we stopped in front of a house with a sign (Hyousatsu) with Hikaru's surname.
“This is my house, thank you for coming with me Takahiro-kun.”
“Okay, here are the ingredients Hikaru-san, take care.”
I hand her the bags with the ingredients and say goodbye.
“See you tomorrow Takahiro-kun.”
“See you tomorrow Hikaru-san.”
After saying goodbye to Hikaru-san I leave.
On the way home I received a notification on my cell phone about a light novel that would be on sale at a bookstore that I follow on social media that is in the city center.
I wanted to read this light novel when it came out, but I was short on money and now that it is on sale I will be able to buy it.
While I was distracted looking at my cell phone, a voice called me.
“Is that you Takahiro-kun?”
“Huh?....Emi-san”
When I turned to see who was calling me, I found out that it was Emi Onora, Souta’s sister.
