*Sigh
“Why are morning classes so boring?”
I mumble a little discouraged, as the teacher leaves the classroom after the lunch bell rings.
Today I bought my lunch on the way to school, bread, as usual, so I won't need to go to the cafeteria to buy anything else.
(I should buy something to drink.)
As I was getting ready to leave, thinking about what drink to buy to go with the bread I bought, I heard a somewhat familiar voice.
“Excuse me, is Takahiro-kun here?”
“Huh?”
Hearing my name being called, I turn around and see Hikaru-san at the door of the classroom looking from side to side as if he were looking for me, so I timidly raise my hand and call her.
“H-Here, Hikaru-san.”
After seeing me, Hikaru-san smiles and quickly comes towards me, with what looks like a bento, and greets me.
“Good morning Takahiro-kun.”
“Good morning Hikaru-san, are you looking for me?”
I greet her back and ask, a little confused as to why she is looking for me, after all it is not normal for Hikaru-san to show up in my classroom.
“Yes, I wanted to know if you want to have lunch with me?”
“Eh!?”
I freeze at her words.
(Does she want to have lunch with me? No, I must have heard wrong.)
“Do you…. Do you want to have lunch with me?”
“Hehe, yes Takahiro-kun.”
She laughs at my confusion, which I found particularly cute about her laugh. But why does she want to have lunch with me? Is this the thank you she was talking about before?
“Well…. and that I would eat alone with-”
“Don’t you want to have lunch with me Takahiro-kun? ”
“That’s not it….. Ahhhh, okay, where do you want to have lunch Hikaru-san?”
I can’t say no when she gives me that sad look.
“On the terrace, let’s go Takahiro-kun.”
Hikaru-san smiles and takes my hand. I feel cheated.
As I’m being dragged out of the room by Hikaru-san, I feel some eyes on me.
Jealousy for a guy they didn’t even know existed.
(Oh yeah! I have to tell Souta that I won’t have lunch with him today.)

Arriving at the terrace, Hikaru-san and I sit down in a shady spot.
She gets her bento and I get my cream bread, melonpan and my tea, which I bought when I came to school.
Hikaru-san opens her bento, which is very well made with rice, meat, eggs and cooked vegetables, which makes me even hungrier than before.
Just as I'm about to eat my custard bun, I feel Hikaru-san's gaze on me.
"What is it Hikaru-san?"
"Are you going to eat just that Takahiro-kun? It's not very healthy."
She asks with her eyes still focused on the bread in my hand.
"Yeah, I'm not good at making meals."
I give her an awkward smile as I answer.
"I see..."
After that Hikaru-san is silent for a while and then she speaks.
"Okay Takahiro-kun! Tomorrow I'll bring you a bento."
"Huh?!... wait, wait, this is going too fast, do you want to... make a bento for me?"
"Yes, I do want to."
She laughs and nods, which means I didn't hear wrong.
“But... it's a lot of work to make two bentos, especially for someone you don't know very well.”
“Okay, I want to make this for you Takahiro-kun, and I know you're kind, after all you saved me and I want to repay you somehow.”
“I think your perception of people is a little wrong.”
“She might be, but I believe that's just how you are.”
“...”
I can't come up with an excuse to refuse, I think if I tried she would find a way to insist again, the only way is to give up.
I sigh internally.
“Okay... Alright Hikaru-san, I accept your offer.”
“Hehe.”
I bow my head in thanks, Hikaru-san smiles and starts eating her bento, but then she stops and asks me.
“Takahiro-kun, what don’t you like to eat?”
“Hmmm…. I don’t have a problem with any kind of food.”
“Right!”
She continues eating her bento with a big smile on her face.
I wonder what she’ll prepare for my lunch tomorrow?
