Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 84

Chapter 84: Another Stomachache

“Stomach pain…”

On Saturday, the noisiest troublemaker in the dorm had already left campus.

Ning Chu had a rare chance to sleep until noon, but as soon as he opened his eyes, he detected an unusual pain in his lower abdomen.

He hadn’t triggered any plot recently, right?

Definitely not. He was quite sure of that since he hadn’t interacted with any other girls after dealing with Shan Shan.

This is a Small Royal Text—without contact with females, the male lead can’t even qualify as having a plot.

Having slept too long, his brain felt fuzzy, and the abdominal pain was quite intense, radiating to his lower belly, waist, and even his butt, leaving him in a numb state. This made him frown and feel upset.

“Why am I suddenly having stomach pain again? Did I get diarrhea from the AC being too cold?”

Ning Chu muttered to himself in confusion, stretching as he sat up, yawning continuously, and ruffling his messy hair, he opened his tear-filled eyes and scanned the dorm.

The bed directly across was a chaotic mess, while Wang Jie under the bed was craning his neck, engrossed in a video game, nearly smashing his face into the computer screen. Zhang Shaoqing’s desk was surprisingly tidy; this guy had cleaned up before he left.

“Wang Jie, where’s Wen Yang?” Ning Chu rubbed his eyes with one hand while nursing his stomach with the other.

“He went out?”

“He went out?!”

Suddenly, all sleepiness vanished. He couldn’t care less about the persistent pain in his lower abdomen and quickly flipped over to slide down the ladder from his bunk.

He anxiously dashed to the balcony, glanced toward the bathroom, then hurriedly slipped on shoes, preparing to head out.

“Where did he go?”

“Why don’t you call him?”

Ning Chu’s hand was already on the doorknob when he realized he could actually make a phone call.

That Wen Yang! Sneaking off without a word again!

Last time, he sneaked off to a bar for a date with identical twins; what’s he up to this time!

With a serious face, Ning Chu dialed Wen Yang’s number, grabbed some casual clothes and a band-aid from the wardrobe, then turned toward the bathroom.

Beep… Beep…

After waiting a minute, the call didn’t connect.

He changed clothes a bit faster, pondering over where Wen Yang might be.

Wen Yang had basically disrupted all potential plots with classmates; this time it could be someone off-campus, from another class or department, or even another college…

That’s too broad! I can’t find him at all!

“Hello?”

The call finally got through.

“Where are you going?” Ning Chu asked, sounding anxious. “Why did you go out alone?”

“Huh?” Wen Yang on the other line sounded a bit lost. He rarely heard Ning Chu sound so restless, losing some of his confidence, “I’m in the library…reading…”

He added quickly, “There are no girls around, don’t worry.”

“I’m on my way!”

Ning Chu had just managed to get dressed, quickly tousled his hair, and ran out of the dorm in his slippers.

“Help me when you come back… Why are you running so fast?” Wang Jie turned back just in time to see the door slam shut, leaving Ning Chu nowhere to be seen, and muttered in confusion, “What’s the hurry?”

After jogging out of the dormitory building, Ning Chu’s quick footsteps gradually slowed down, his palm involuntarily pressing against his stomach.

That little run made the pain in his lower abdomen intensify, turning his lips pale. No matter how anxious he felt, his legs could no longer move quickly.

“It should be fine, right?”

This past week, Ning Chu’s strategy was to tightly control Wen Yang, not allowing him any contact with females. Such strict measures might easily make Wen Yang feel resistant and frustrated, but that’s what he wanted to see.

But Wen Yang sneaking off to cheat completely wasn’t part of his plans!

“What a waste!”

What if Wen Yang triggered some sort of plot in the library…

Ning Chu estimated the situation; disrupting the plot within one to three occasions would likely cause Wen Yang to completely turn into a girl.

“Ugh, annoying!”

The stomach pain coupled with his current situation made him lose control of his irritation. He kicked the wire pole beside him, only to feel it hurt back, making his face turn pale.

That just ticked him off even more!

With a fuming expression, he pulled out his phone, ready to call Wen Yang again, but his gaze landed on the notes app on his phone.

“……”

Suddenly, he remembered! Back in the middle of last month, he also had a stomachache that lasted several days.

Ning Chu blankly opened the notes app and quickly scanned its contents.

“September 16, stomach pain”

So it’s nothing; there are still many days until the sixteenth!

He reassured himself but uneasily opened the browser to search for “menstrual cycle,” and his face quickly soured.

According to online sources, Aunt Flow’s cycle isn’t simply one month for most straight males, but varies for everyone. Some might get it every twenty days, while others might have to wait thirty…

And whether Aunt Flow is late or early by a few days is considered normal.

“No way?”

Ning Chu anxiously pressed against his abdomen, pushing it down slightly as he lowered his eyebrows and bit his lip, recalling his body’s condition since crossing over.

In fact, there had been signs of feminization in his body even before the plot began.

For example, his always noticeable cleavage, too petite frame, and delicate voice…

“So from the start, I was actually a girl?”

Originally, he thought the approaching plot was the cause, so despite doing nothing, he would gradually become more girly… Turns out he was right, just wrong about the reason.

“No wonder I always feel so lethargic…”

Turns out it was just for show!

He’d been equipped with all the female essentials, or else Aunt Flow wouldn’t show up!

“Never mind; it’s too early to reach a conclusion. If it still hurts in two days, then I can be sure.” He self-comforted, “I just caught a slight chill, that’s all.”

“Ning Chu!”

Ning Chu looked up and saw Wen Yang appearing in front of him from the teaching building, walking toward him.

As Wen Yang got closer, he noticed Ning Chu’s uneasy demeanor and quickly defended himself, “I called you in the morning, but you were sleeping too soundly to wake up.”

“I really was just reading. The only time I talked to a girl was when I returned a book to the librarian.”

He nervously looked at Ning Chu’s face, “What’s wrong?”

“I have a bit of a stomach ache.”

“Again?” Wen Yang paused, quickly caught on, and tentatively asked, “Didn’t you have a stomachache around this time last month too?”

“Yeah, so what?”

This was crucial evidence proving Ning Chu was a girl!

Wen Yang’s eyes lit up. As long as Ning Chu continued to have stomach pain for two more days, and he could find Ning Chu’s sanitary napkin…

He would definitively confirm Ning Chu was a girl! Then, if he had a little physiological reaction towards a girl and a few fantasies, wouldn’t that be completely normal?

“Shall we head to the cafeteria for lunch?”

“Sure…” Ning Chu sighed weakly, casting a glance at Wen Yang and asking, “Why do you seem so happy?”

“I’m not; how could that be?”
