Unexpected Story – Isekai

For three days we continued our journey. Although the only way out was to follow the path of the horse-drawn carriage, we had to be aware of our surroundings.

The time we spent traveling was quite boring. There were no powerful monsters or anything interesting anymore. We were also waiting for a horse-drawn carriage to pass by but I guess that would take a while.

The forest itself holds a lot of abundant food reserves. You can get food from picking fruits or cooking mushrooms and plants around. It's just that ordinary people won't be able to survive because of the roaming monsters.

The vast grasslands stretched far away. A small mountain was visible because it was far away from us. Apparently the scenery here contrasts with the lush forest earlier, here there are few tall trees. Although the air was still cool.

As time went on and defeating these monsters one by one made me bored again. We didn't attack them anymore and of course they got scared too. Like the goblins, we just passed them by.

It was almost nightfall and I had killed many of the monsters. We found species like wild dogs, flesh-eating plants and slimes that we often encounter. There were also some mutated species that gave more exp.

After a long walk we found a suitable place to pitch our tent. This small cube-shaped magic tent is very compact to carry. To set it up, you only need to provide a little mana and place it on a flat place. In just 10 minutes this instant tent was ready for use. Soon after, we were ready to spend our first night outside the forest.

I looked at the direction with binoculars. At first it looked vague but then it became clearer. A horse-drawn carriage driven by a woman was being driven towards us.

Not long after, we could clearly see the carriage which was not only luxurious but also very aesthetic. On it was a gold-colored lion's head symbol. The female driver at the front was wearing a maid outfit that didn't match it. Her expression looked frightened.

The coachwoman yelled at us and waved her hand to make us pull over.

Not far from the back of the carriage, there was also a group of chasing horse riders looking like bandits. They were excitedly shouting with excitement like they were chasing game.
