NOVEL SIMPLE Super Rough Drafts of chapter one of WaifuTamer!
choose which one of the super rough drafts is better! Please don't read if you don't want to get spoiled. I also want to prefix this with the fact I caught myself going back to third third-person view more than I liked when making the second chapter, so in the end it might end up third person anyway. I also want to add that when I post this on the twenty-first (21) it will have a prologue and two other chapters, chapters two and three. So if you don't like the beginning for whatever reason, sorry. I also added the updated waifumon dex, hope you're happy.
Chapter 1 Third person
Van woke up a few minutes before his alarm went off. Giving a yawn he stretched his body before checking the time on his phone. Seeing that he had some time left he turned over and planned to sleep for the next few minutes that he could. Or he would if it weren’t for the noise coming down stairs…
His parents were going at it again this morning. One of his moms, he wasn’t sure which, was being particularly vocal with her demands from what he could hear all the way upstairs.
Annoyed, he turned over once more, and then again, then tried covering his ears with his pillow. All failed. Finally he sighed and got up, turning off his alarm before it had a chance to ring and sighed. “Can’t those two be quieter? I told them to at least wait for when I'm gone.” He gave another sigh. “Well… At least they kept their promise not to keep me up all night long anymore…” He almost shivered at the thought of what it used to be like back when his parents used to ‘battle’ almost every other night when he was growing up.
Getting out of bed he changed into his dark jeans and white button shirt wearing his brown loafers and snagging his work ID card alongside his white work coat. Checking himself in the mirror on his drawers he slicked back his black hair that had strands of midnight blue coloring and checked his ever changing deep azure eyes. Watching as his irises shift with the light of the morning sun, displaying small flecks of gold and spots of lightning blue like stars in an eerie bright midnight blue sky that some have called mesmerizing.
He had been called handsome by a lot of people growing up. With strong yet gentle features and an athlete's build he never really put much work into alongside broad shoulders and a tall robust body. Though in his own opinion he was just not ugly, that much he could admit to himself, everyone else saying he was handsome he always felt was either just flattering him because he was a Chimalera or wanted something from him… Most likely his body…
After he was done checking himself and making sure he was presentable he went down stairs. Thankfully his mom’s one sided shouting match had ended by the time he had left the room, so when he arrived at the kitchen the two were done and were now sitting down catching their breath at the table while his other mom wagged her tail and served breakfast.
“Morning Mom. Morning Dad. Morning Mom.” Van said nonchalantly as he went to sit down at his usual spot at the table. He tried not to wrinkle his nose at the smell of sex still in the air as he looked down at the extravagant feast of a breakfast presented. “Thanks Penny, your food looks delicious as always.” Referring to his mother with the dog ears and tail.
She seemed to enjoy the praise, as she always did, by giving him a beaming smile and a faster wag of her tail. “Thanks sweetie! Now eat up! You have another big day in front of you!” She said happily.
“Thanks, I will.” Van said, taking a nice portion of the food and putting it on his plate. There was eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and water, some diced potatoes and tomatoes with freshly baked blueberry muffins on the side. All of it smelled heavenly and his mouth began to water. Not being able to help himself he immediately began to chow down on the delicious food presented.
Van’s father chuckled. “Slow down sport. The food isn’t going anywhere. And you have plenty of time before you head to work. Unusual of you to wake up so early, though I suppose it saves us the time waiting for you to come down and join us for breakfast.” He said with a smile.
Van raised an eyebrow and gave his father a knowing look. “Thanks dad, I think my alarm went off a little sooner than I expected. Must have been a glitch…”
James gave a cough and a sheepish smile. “Ah well… You know I’ve been suggesting you replace that old phone. Can’t blame me if it goes off before it should.” Giving his son a wink filled without a hint of remorse, his smile turning into a grin.
Van rolled his eyes but had to admit his father was pretty good sometimes when it came to throwing it back. “You know I can’t do that. I’ve been saving all my money up so I can purchase a temporary contract with a waifu. Once I get one and the adventuring set I've had my eyes on, I’ll finally go out to explore the world like I’ve always dreamed of doing…” Giving a dreamy expression just thinking about it. Only for it to sour when his other mother Mary sighed and already he began to feel defensive as he knew what was going to come next.
“Van.” Mary began. “If you want money there are better options than working as a lab assistant. You really should give your father’s work a try. There are far more benefits and the pay is almost twice what you would get working part time at the lab. Not to mention your father is one of the best breeders in town. With him guiding you, you will be able to rise to the top in no time and get a raise in pay and benefits that being an adventuring trainer could never give you.”
Van tried not to sound too aspirated, having done this dance one too many times for his taste. “Mom, it isn’t about the money. Being a breeder is just not for me. Besides, I enjoy learning on the job, I learn so much while working for Prof Erotica.”
Mary raised her own eyebrow and crossed her arms. “I thought you said that the work was tedious and boring, filled mostly with data entry?”
Van blushed a little embarrassed. “Well… Yeah… But I also learn a few things from time to time and the extra time I have in between work I use to learn new things. Not to mention it’s safer…” He muttered surly at the end.
His parents gave a saddened look, Penny’s tail even slowing down in its wag.
Mary’s shoulders slumped a little and she gave a small sigh. “I know that must have been a scary experience. But that wasn’t at the Center. It was your decision to be a delivery boy, and we told you the dangers yet you insisted that you try it out.” She paused as if just thinking about it made her go through all the emotions of when she first found out that Van was being held in some strange women’s house.
“...You did it for all the right reasons… I understand you wanted to push your boundaries and ‘force yourself to out there’ and I understand that to you being a breeder isn’t much better then what that woman wanted to do to you. But…” Her eyes hardened with resolve. “If you had learned from your father, you would have prepared for that scenario. Working with your father could have also helped you learn what to do to defuse the situation, or have already earned you a waifu without the need for a temp contract.” She glared. “And don’t you dare say we don’t understand. Even after the fact of what happened, we still paid out of our own money to send you to martial arts classes, something you were very thankful for.”
Her expression softened. “Van… I know school wasn’t what it was cracked up to be and you went through some hard times. I know it took you a while to move on. I know when you realized that you were stuck you tried to force yourself to change by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. And for a time, it really seemed like it was working. You were meeting new people and getting used to being around strangers.”
“But you have to realize we were always behind you one hundred percent. So please. For once. Listen to your family and learn how to be a breeder. Or at the least, earn your license. Please.” Mary asked, practically begging him.
Van was still for a long while as the kitchen went silent. The joyous atmosphere previously, now replaced by a tense one. He recalled that day so long ago, when he found his bully fucking his friend, and her enjoying it… The very idea that such an asshole could get away with it, just because he had a breeding license and that it seemed like no matter how much of a horrible person he was to the girls they still liked him for some reason, destroyed what understanding of karma or morality he knew. It didn’t help that the asshole seemed to take particular pleasure in fucking waifus that had seemed to have taken a liking to him. Nor did that stop the bully from doing other bully things to him…
“Fucking Jared…” Van growled Inwardly.
The shock of seeing the friend he trusted with his most hated enemy made him realize how fucked up the world was a little, and completely put him off sex or intercourse, even though you kinda needed for taming waifu’s. But he was determined to follow his dreams and still be an adventuring trainer. Even if it meant using contracted waifu’s, he would figure something out along the way. Jared wanted him to give up on his dreams. His family wanted him to give up on his dreams.
He will not give up on his dreams.
And maybe one day, he will finally find some waifu’s that he would feel comfortable enough spending more intimate moments with. Or perhaps the adventure itself will help him throw off the mental block that prevented him from having casual relationships with waifu’s.
But not now…
“I’ll… Think about it.” He said noncommittally. Which might as well be him saying that he wasn't going to think about it all. He slowly got up, his breakfast unfinished. “It’s getting late, I have to go to work now. See you later.”
He then left and walked out the door, leaving his family behind him. Mary looked saddened by his departure, while Penny looked like she was going to cry. He closed the door and stood outside for the moment, taking a deep breath and letting it out. He almost jumped in surprise when his father came out not soon after, giving him a small smile and nod towards Van.
Awkwardly they stood around until James finally spoke. “Van… I know it's hard to hear those kinds of things from your mother, but I just want you to know that it’s coming from a place of love… You do know that right?”
Van blinked. “Ah… Yeah, of course…” He replied, worried for a second that perhaps his parents didn’t know how much he genuinely loved them in return and that perhaps his attitude brought doubt onto his feelings.
James nodded and placed a hand on Van’s shoulder. “Van, you can be whatever you want to be. Your mother… She’s just worried about your future. She loves you so much, and she doesn’t want you to go. It eats us all up inside what happened to you and how you were treated at school. Just please, never misunderstand how much love we have for you. Me and Mary haven’t been able to have kids at all. So when you came into our life, while at first she was against it, she fell madly in love with you and just wants to see you grow up to be a fine young Chimalera. She’s terrified of what may happen to you out there in the world away from her sight, and so wants you at home where it's safer.”
Van let his shoulders relax and gave an apologetic response. “It’s fine dad, I understand. I’m sorry for leaving like I did. And I do understand mom loves me.” He replied.
“Good.” James nodded. “That’s All I ask of you.” Giving his son a kind smile. “Now go. I’m sure you don’t want to be late for work.” Giving Van a pat on the back.
Van did so, giving a wave a short wave of his hand before walking out onto the street and towards the distance.
Chapter One - Mix of First and Third Person?
A churning black nightmare without substance woke me up a few minutes before my alarm went off. Blinking the sleep from my eyes I stretched my body and turned over to pick up my phone laying atop my drawers and checked the time. Seeing that there was still more than twenty minutes left to ride out I closed my eyes again to take advantage of what little rest I can steal away. Or that was what he would have normally done if it weren't for his parents' daily ‘battle’...

Annoyed, I tried turning over, then did again, and again, then tried covering my ears with my pillow. It failed… Sighing I got up and turned off my phone alarm before it had a chance to blast my ears with its annoying ring. “Can’t those two be quieter?” A bit peeved by all the racket this morning. “Well… At least they kept their promise not to do it every night…” Giving out a sarcastic sigh as he still had nightmares of being kept up all night because of his parents' antics. He shivered just thinking about back when his parents almost battled every freaking night!
A little exasperated, I got up and changed into my work attire. Which consisted of some pants, a white button shirt, a white work coat, brown loafers and his trusty ID card that I put in my back pocket. Checking myself in the mirror hanging above the drawers I slicked back my black hair with strands of midnight blue and inspected my eerie ever changing azure eyes. Watching as my irises shifted with the morning sun, displaying small flecks of gold and lightning blue star specks that seemed to brighten a deep blue and colorful sky that some have called mesmerizing…

After I finished checking to make sure I was presentable, I waited upstairs until my mother’s one sided shouting match had finally ended, then gave it another minute before making my way down. There I found my parents, John, Mary and Penny.
My dad was resting now taking a few quick breathes on his chair, alongside Mary, who was doing the same on the opposite side. Both doing their best to pretend nothing had happened as Penny moved about in her naked apron carrying trays of foods happily to the table for all to eat.
“Morning Mom. Morning Dad. Morning Mom.” I said nonchalantly, sitting down at my usual spot at the table. I tried not not to wrinkle my nose at the smell of sex still in the air and instead looked down at the extravagant feast of a breakfast on display. “Thanks mom, food looks delicious!” He smiled, giving Penny that winning look she always said she loved.
“Oh Sweetie~! Thank you for always eating my food~!” She cooed happily, her tail wagging swiftly from side to side and giving her own beaming smile. “Now eat up~ You have another busy day ahead of you at the lab~!”
I couldn’t help but feel like my mood improved as Penny gushed happily about how he had to eat to get big and strong and that she was so proud of him. Sometimes it got annoying how she was always heaping praises on him, but it also helped to know he could always count her in his corner. “Thanks, I will.” Taking a nice portion of the food and putting it on his plate until it was brimming with eggs, bacon, toast and diced potatoes with a side of orange juice and iced water and freshly baked blueberry muffins for dessert. It all smelled heavenly, and not being able to help myself I immediately began to shove it into my watering mouth and began to chow down.
His father chuckled at the gusto his son began eating with. “Slow down Van, the food isn’t going anywhere.” He joked. “Besides, you have plenty of time, since you usually don’t come down so early.” He commented.
Van raised an eyebrow and gave his father a knowing look. “I think that's because my alarm went off a little sooner than I expected… It played a whole new alarm and everything… Must have been a glitch…”

I rolled my eyes while trying not to show my own burgeoning amused smirk back, reaching out to my orange juice to cover it up. “I wish, but I have to save up my money if I want to afford a temporary contract with a waifu, plus that adventuring set I’ve had my eyes on.” My eyes gave a dreamy look at just the thought of one day exploring the region on a grand adventure. Only for it to sour when he saw Mary begin to work herself up to talk to him, already making him feel defensive as he knew what was coming next…
“Van.” Mary began. “If you want money, there are better options than working as a lab assistant. I know you may not like it, but you really should give your father’s work a try. There are far more benefits, and the starting pay is almost twice what you are getting part time at the lab. Your father is also one of the best breeders in town, with him guiding you and helping you, you can rise through the ranks and really make a name for yourself.” She looked uncomfortable, knowing that her precious son probably didn’t want to hear this but continued anyway. “Not to mention being an adventuring trainer is very dangerous, and it can’t give you the stability and security that a breeder working at the center can give you.” Her words made it clear she was hoping that today will be the day that Van finally listened to her and chose the safe path.
Van tried not to sound irritated, having done this dance one too many times before and knowing that his mom was just genuinely worried for him. “Mom, it isn’t just about the money.” I took a deep breath and let it out and continued in a more calm manner. “Being a breeder is just not for me… Or at least not yet… Besides, I enjoy working with Prof Erotica. I learn so many new things on the job and the pay is decent for what little work I have to put in.” Trying to sound resemble.
Mary raised an eyebrow and grossed her arms. “I thought you said that the work was boring and tedious, filled with mostly data entry and that you couldn't learn everything you wanted?”
Van winced, blushing a little in embarrassment. “Well… There is some of that, yes… But in my free time I learn a lot, and there's a lot of free time because I sometimes finish up early.” He smiled, but his mom wasn’t having it so it turned into a frown. “And it’s a lot safer…” He muttered surly.
His parents gave a saddened look, Penny’s tail even slowing down in its wag, making Van regret his side comment.
Mary’s shoulders slumped a little and she gave a small sigh. “I know that must have been a scary experience. But you can’t let those things that happened to you in the past affect your future.” Her eyes began to tear up just remembering the emotions from back then and she stretched out a hand to him. “You know we don’t ask much from you, and I just want you to be safe so at least please consider it.”
Van was silent, not accepting her outstretched hand and looking at his plate, already knowing that if he outright said no she wouldn’t take it well but not wanting to say yes either.
Mary sighed. “...I know you were hurting for a long time after what happened to your friend. And I know it sent you to a bad place. But you shouldn’t blame breeders for that-”
Van slammed his fist down on the table. “Then why was someone like FUCKING JARED! Allowed to have a Fucking Breeder’s Liscense! You know as well as I do that asshole didn’t deserve it, but just because his father knew the right people he got it away!” His eyes watered and his chest began to heave as a look filled with pain crossed his face at the memories.
Penny’s ears drooped and John got uncomfortable, feeling ashamed that there was someone out there putting the good name of breeders to the torch as Van went down a memory lane filled with nightmares.
He remembered it still. The memory had some smudges here and there in places from repeated viewing, but it was still clear on the specifics. Fucking Jared had gotten a breeders liscense… And one of the perks of being a breeder, is that you can force impregnate rare waifumon in order to prevent them from going extinct as a last ditch effort. This of course was for only specific breeders that have gone through heavy vetting and only after the WPA, or Waifu Preservation Association, had exhausted all other avenues of trying to preserve that specific waifu type morally.
But Fucking Jared didn’t care about that… It had turned out that my best friend that I made in high school was a rare type of waifu, as many waifus also joined school to become productive members of society. But of course with any society you will have your leeches and bullies. And Fucking Jared was one of them…
Just remembering it made my blood seethe with anger and barely uncontrolled fury. Beating the shit out of that asshole after catching him in the act was probably the best thing I would ever achieve in my entire life. But after that day I had never heard from my friend again… The WPA had taken her away after the trauma she experienced, and Fucking Jared’s father pulled some strings and had me expelled from school early for being… Violent and a potential threat to other students… All the while Jared himself was giving a slap on the wrist as his lawyer claimed that it was a simple misunderstanding.
Mary’s expression began to soften as she no doubt realized that her precious son was going back down some memories. “Van…” She said gently and motherly, opening her mouth to speak but pausing on the words. She closed her mouth and decided against what she was going to say before and instead spoke from the heart. “Van… I am so proud of you… We are so proud of you… Even after that day, you forced yourself to go out there and get a job. To follow your dream no matter what… It was going so well too… But after a few months of deliveries the inevitable happened…”
She looked at him with tears in her eyes. “I was so scared when I heard that some stranger had forced you into her home. It turned out she was on some wanted list and somehow broke out of jail, fleeing a few cities down to our small town to lay low for doing something similar to some other poor soul. Something like that happened to you and yet you still decided to go out and work as a lab assistant to earn the money for your dream!” She took a deep breath.
“I Am so proud to have such a strong son like you. Even if I’m not your mother by blood. You make me the happiest and proudest mom in the world. And that is why I just-” She choked on her words. “I just want you to be safe. You understand that right?” Looking at him as if also begging that he didn’t hate her.
After a moment what little anger I had dissipated. I couldn’t be angry at my mom, not when bringing this up always seemed to hurt her more then it did me. “Yeah mom… I know…” Sighing and finally reaching out with my hand.
She gave a small smile and took it in her own, giving it a firm squeeze as if to try and convey all her love through it.
After a moment Van let go and gave a small sigh as he got up from the table. His appetite had disappeared somewhat and he was running late. “I have to go mom, running late but… I’ll think about taking a look at some online courses for breeding.” He said in the hopes of making his mother feel better.
“Not that I probably don’t already know all the answers to any questions about breeding… I’m not really against sex or anything, but after what happened…” He sighed inwardly, his shoulders slumping. “Hell, maybe actually learning to become a breeder will help me get over it all. I know for a fact that being a breeder is a noble profession but after what happened…” He shivered, maybe not just yet…
He waved goodbye to his mothers, Marry looking a bit mollified by his words and looking happier. After stepping out I let out another sigh and just stood there in front of the door for a long moment, just letting all the emotions pass through me and relaxing my body. He almost jumped when his father suddenly opened the door behind him.
Awkwardly they stood around until John finally spoke. “Van… I know it’s hard to hear those kinds of things from your mother. But I just wanted you to know that it’s coming from a place of love, and that we are all just very worried about you.” He placed a hand on Van’s shoulder. “But I know you are going to pull something off.” Giving Van’s shoulder a squeeze. “You’ve never once backed down from following your dream of being an adventuring trainer, and no matter how worried your mothers are, they will support you one hundred and ten percent.”
“Just know that if the day ever comes that you want to learn a thing or two from your old man. I’ll be here.” Giving his beloved son a playful wink.
Hearing those words Van felt a great sense of relief and decided to be playful back. “I don’t know…” I responded, giving him a smirk. “Just like you admitted you are pretty old. Chances are I might be the one teaching you a thing or two when I come back.” Giving a slight tease to his old man.
John laughed heartily, giving a few firm pats onto Van’s shoulder and gave a proud fatherly smile. “I’ll be looking forward to it.” He said, retrieving his hand. “Now go, I’m pretty sure you don’t want to be any later than you already are for work. Oh! And here.” He took out a small cloth bundle. “Penny wrapped up some muffins for when you got hungry later.”
“Thanks dad.” Van said with a small smile, accepting the heart filled gift from his mother. He then gave a quick wave goodbye and began to walk speedily down the street to work in a far better mood…

They are a very necessary component for the breeding of more Waifus, which comprises most of their society. Their typing can be whatever elements their parents are.

Description: The counterpart of Chimalera’s. Unlike other Waifus, they seem to be identical to Chimaleras in that they can be a mix of their parent's types. More importantly, while it is absurdly rare for a Waifu to give birth to a Chimalera, for (name pending) The split is largely 50/50. Because of this, they are just as indispensable as Chimaleras, and their unique ability to be a jack of all trades is very welcome in Waifu society.

Description: This Waifu is beyond rare. It is said that only a few exist at any given time. For each tail they grow, it increases the amount of elements they can have by one.

Description: This charming and tomboyish Waifu is a blast to be had around with friends. They have lizard-like features. They like warm places and sometimes will nap by the fireplace or outside in the sun before sticking their noses in mischief once more. When they are caught, they always seem to get out of trouble with their winning smile.

Description: The final form of Charmelons. Their breasts grow bigger but so too do their hips and they become more mellowed out. Their favorite catchphrase seems to be ‘ara ara’, hence Charara. They become very motherly with always a smile on their face and willing to do the cooking and cleaning. But one should be careful, they have a fiery temper underneath that can bubble to the surface if their man or children cause too much trouble.

Description: These lovable pranksters of the sea gain much joy from tugging on fishing lines, then hiding as they watch from a distance as the poor fisherman finds nothing on the end of their hook. They are always trying to have fun, but never at the expense of others, sometimes going out of their way to help people out at sea in need. They have a row of very sharp teeth, a small gap between their legs they can create at will and two very small cat-like ears on their heads. They are known for their beautiful scales. They also have a bad habit of crushing hard on people they like.

Description: This Waifu has completely adapted to land and water, growing large cat-like ears and a tail to better blend in. Their scales are still visible though on parts of their body, and it is not like they can hide their bluish skin. They have taken great joy in running and swimming, and some even try and join races to test out their new fully formed legs. They can switch back to their mermaid tails whenever they wish while in the water. They also have a strong combative and adventurous streak now and are more willing to do sports or go on long journeys with friends. They also gain the wind element to help them on land.

It is said that there is a hidden type of Waifu called a Eladrina, that is above the others.

Some think thats not a bad deal, others though, think it is torture, becouse of this, there is a great amount of jealousy towards Meried and their evolutions. Though they try to hide it.
