NOVEL SIMPLE The man in the domino mask

"Yelena come on" a group of girls called out to Yelena as they headed in to a club.
Yelena had enjoyed these night outs in the beginning as she got to experience New York's nightlife as Yelena and not as Orphan, but as time went on she had started to get bored of them as she was quick to realize the people around her were the because of who they thought she was 'The daughter of the Jeffrey King', 'if only they knew how he spent his nights' Yelena chuckled to herself at the thought.
The night was the same as any other, at least the beginning was but the night soon took a drastic change. The girls were having fun when a gunshot resounded through out the club. Screams followed as even more gunshots followed, chaos ensued as everyone tried to get out of the club.
Yelena managed to lead the group of girls out into the back alley but before they could take a breather a group of men rushed out all with Aks at hand. Turning to face where they had just rushed out of they sent a rain of bullets into the dark, after a few minutes of continuous gunfire The men came to a halt looking into the dark.
Yelena who stayed behind and hid behind a trashcan, looked into the darkness as well with curiosity as to what exactly was going on. Yelena did not have to wait long as something flew out knocking one of the guys out drawing the attention of all present.
A figure dressed in all black with blue ascents wearing a domino mask appeared kneeing one of the guys in the face the resulting force sending him flying into a wall. The masked guy didn't allow the men to take a breather grabbing what was now revealed to be an eskrima which had knocked out the earlier thug.
The remaining thugs had now put away their guns surrounding him and opting for close combat. The man now surrounded with two eskrimas which began to give of a faint glow just smirked, "Alright then lets get this over with".
Yelena watched as he began to fight the men dispatching anyone that got close in at most four moves, performing a flip he managed to avoid an attack from all four sides causing the men to crash into one another with him coming down on them taking them out. "come on guys, I'm actually beginning to feel sorry for you. He continued his assault on the men leaving them no chance to fight back.
His moves spoke lots of his training but in Yelena's eyes he was no match for the people she knew, still she continued to observe the man in the domino mask her interest in him growing by the second.
In a few more seconds, all the gangsters laid at the man's feet with him remaining unscathed with a smirk on his face as he looked straight at Yelena.
Giving her a salute he fired a grappling hook and left the alley, leaving Yelena below with a wide grin on her face.

After answering some annoying questions from the police as well as answering the calls from her friends, Yelena sat before her PC searching up on the man in the domino mask.
The were many mentions of the man but not a single person knew who he was which just served to increase her interest in the masked man.
"Who are you?"
"I don't think I've ever seen you that interested in someone", a voice resounded.
"Hmmm, well what can I say I'm bored ,school is boring, was interesting, now it is boring." Yelena turned around looking Natasha who was now in her room, in the eye.
"You only think that because of what you're used to. You'll get used to it" Natasha chuckled
"So why are you here?"
Putting on a hurt look Natasha asked, "can't I just check in on my little sister"
"I'm not little" Natasha rolled her eyes before pulling out two bowls of Mac and cheese from seemingly no where. Yelena seeing this had stars in her eyes as she began to dig in "You're the best sister ever".
Natasha jus responded to this with a smile as she observed the childish antics of her sister, shifting her focus back to the screen, she began in a serious tone.
"Yelena forget about this guy"
"Huh, why?"
"Shield is looking into him, if you get involved you will draw shield's attention"
"Eh, is that all. Shield isn't all that great they still don't know who Batman is." "I do" Natasha countered with a plain tone, to which Yelena responded "they don't"
The sisters shared a look before breaking out in laughter. The two spent the rest of the day just talking not about the masked man or Shield or Batman, just talking, enjoying each other's company. For the rest of the day the two wanted to pretend, they wanted to pretend they were ordinary.
