NOVEL SIMPLE Chapter 36: Taking Care of the Evolving Girl.
(Celia’s POV)
Two weeks later, June was still sleeping away. At the very least, she didn’t seem to be having any nightmares, which was very good. In fact, she always looked to be having a peaceful sleep, even cracking a slightly lewd smile sometimes.
If I was a gambling woman, I would just guess that she was having sexual dreams about her wife. Heh… Goddess, I am so lonely… That kiss from Maralia had made me so damn horny, but she never came back to satisfy my desires. I bet that she is just using this as a way to tease me…
Anyway, June should be waking up today. Why? Well, a few days ago, her body stopped burning up. And she shined a bright light for a bit, which was probably the evolution finishing. Even more evident by how she is now moving a lot in her sleep, while before, she was just fully unmoving.
June: “Ugh… my head.” She said with a groan after shooting up from the bed and sitting up.
Celia: “You should take it easy. Usually, angels are around to help you with evolving into a Goddess, but not this time around.” I say with a caring tone, giving her a glass of water to drink.
June: “I see… Thank you for taking care of me, then.” She replied, after chugging the entire glass down.
Celia: “No problem. After all, I do hope you’ll do the same for me later.” I say with a giggle.
She had sweated a bit over these few days, but I did use cleaning magic on her, so she was clean. That didn’t mean that June didn’t wish to take a bath, though. Which is what she ended up doing after eating a boatload of food.
Some Time Later.
Celia: “Have you checked your Status yet?” I ask.
June: “Not yet. I am honestly afraid to do so… I never thought that I would ever be a Higher Being, you know.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “You’ll get used to it in time, June. Why don’t we just look at it together? That might calm your nerves.” I propose.
June: “Hmm… Okay.” She agreed after thinking about it for a bit.

Celia: “Hm… a very impressive bump in power.” I commented.
June: “It truly is… Now I could easily reclaim my empire! But that is for another time… Celia, what is a Domain?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “It is something that defines your beliefs and identity. You saw it with my Status, right? My Domain is Lesbian Love.” I explain.
June: “Oh… Why don’t I have a domain, then?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “You don’t get one automatically. It could take months, years, or even hundreds of years before you get your Domain. Worrying about it won’t help, either.” I answer.
June: “That so…” She said with a disappointed sigh.
I understand her current feeling, as I have felt the same before. When you have something like that missing in your Status, it makes you feel not complete. Anyway, June decided to rest for a while, and I went along with her as well. The entire time that she was evolving, I had stayed awake to take care of her, after all.
A Few Days Later.
Celia: “Anything catch your eye?” I ask.
June: “Hm… Just a few S rank quests are available.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Well, this world is somewhat peaceful, so it makes sense that there is a very limited amount of extremely dangerous quests being put up.” I reply with a shrug.
June: “What about this one?” She said, pointing to one of the quests.
The one that she pointed to was an S rank quest. S rank is the highest it goes, so there really isn’t anything harder than them. This quest was to kill a Kraken that is terrorizing one of the port kingdoms. Ah, right. I forgot to mention, but this guild puts up quests from all over the world, and from every branch.
But the distance wouldn’t matter to us, as both June and I can easily fly wherever we please. Though this one wasn’t something that we should deal with. It wasn’t worth it, and even with our fast flight abilities, it was too far away for right now. We do have something to attend to near this kingdom…
Celia: “Not that one.” I reply.
June: “Why not? It should give us a lot of EXP.” She asked with a head tilt.
Celia: “We don’t know its level, but whatever EXP it will give, we’re better off killing a lot of monsters, rather than just one strong one.” I answer.
June: “…”
Celia: “Not to mention, but if we do not wish to miss Saren’s and Remi’s wedding, we shouldn’t go that far away from this kingdom.” I add.
I was stuck taking care of June, but luckily, their wedding was delayed. Why? Because they had encountered some problems… Ah, nothing too difficult or bad. Those two just got far too engrossed in their sex, and ended up having baby making sex for days on end.
The result was, as you’d expect, with Saren ending up pregnant. The pregnancy was somewhat hard on her, so the wedding was delayed until she felt better. Now that she did, and with how Saren wasn’t showing her pregnancy that much yet, the wedding will be held in a week.
June: “Then this one is our best bet.” She said, putting out her hand, about to rip off a piece of paper from a quest.
Celia: “…”
June: “…”
Celia: “We should go with a different one, June.” I say with a stern tone.
June: “This is the best one to choose, though? A Hell Spider nest popped up, and they’re supposed to be the strongest horde habit monsters in this world. We’ll gain so much EXP from killing them, even without that EXP multiplier crystal.” She explained with a serious tone.
Celia: “…”
June: “I can’t believe this… The woman who seduced so many women who she made her wives, the one who has done so many crazy things in a short period of time, is actually terrified of spiders?” She said with a smug tone.
Shit… My one true weakness was revealed to my dear friend. The friend who is still clearly upset with my seemingly endless amount of luck and ease of life… My well deserved pride has now completely fallen away in this woman’s pretty eyes. Ah, my life is now well and truly ruined!!!
