Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 5. Chapter 37: I Won’t Get Rid of My Fears, but I can Keep my Eyes Closed… (Chapter 438.)

Chapter 37: I Won’t Get Rid of My Fears, but I can Keep my Eyes Closed…

(Celia’s POV)

June: “Celia… you can literally just blast away anything and everything… Please, just hurry up already.” She said with a sigh.

Currently, we were flying to where the nest was reported being at. Hell Spiders are horrible monsters, and they’re actually just straight up literal demons from Hell. Those spiders are greatly feared by pretty much everyone.

Being from Hell, they invade the living world, all just to collect souls. They’re categorized as chaos tier events when they appear, just to give them some weight. Prior to us taking on the quest, the guild was in the process of readying a giant, thousand person siege against the Hell Spider nest…

Let’s just say… there is a reason why no one else had taken on this task yet. Which is why… there are probably going to be a few more new stories about June and I’s grand and brave adventures… Accidentally, people seem to think that I am part of the Rennold family, so I have even more renown than an adventurer would normally have.

Celia: “June, I really, really hate spiders…” I say, still flying slowly.

June: “Look, you can just close your eyes, okay?” She replied with a coaxing tone.

Celia: “…”

Being such a power being, I shouldn’t have a fear of spiders. But I don’t really care. I am a person, and a person has their fears. It doesn’t matter that I can obliterate any spider with a snap of my fingers. I have a fear of them, and nothing can change that. I guess… I can try to brave my fear? Ugh… just imagining those spiders is making me sick…

Lots of Reluctance Later.

Eventually, we had managed to reach the nest, which was hundreds of miles away from the city. Staying up in the air, June and I looked down at the spiders that we had to kill. At least… they weren’t as big as the spiders that Sava once made appear. Instead, they were about the size of a tree. I mean, they’re still fucking huge, mind you…

Celia: “…”

June: “81,675 EXP from just one? That isn’t so bad… And yet, why do you look so out of it, Celia?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “June… you’re missing the main issue.” I reply.

June: “I see no issue at all, though? The spiders, though high level, do not seem like a challenge for us in the least.” She replied with a confident tone.

Celia: “Ah, you’ve only been a Higher Being for a bit, but you have already become haughty.” I say with a laugh.

June: “…”

Celia: “???”

The woman looked at me like I was crazy, but soon realized that, yes, she was far more haughty now. Not a bad thing, mind you. I have met quite a few Higher Beings that go far too into being haughty. For example… God. June wasn’t that bad in comparison.

June: “Okay, but what is the issue, Celia?” She repeated her question.

Celia: “Oh, well… You haven’t accounted for the EXP Multiplier Crystal yet.” I answer.

June: “Huh? It shouldn’t be that much of a difference, though?” She said with a head tilt.

Celia: “…”

June: “…”

Celia: “Weren’t you a queen? How come you don’t know how to do math?” I say with a shocked tone.

June: “I was focused on running my kingdom, and had people to work with the money.” She said with a shrug.

Celia: “What if a person had embezzled funds? You wouldn’t be able to tell…” I reply.

June: “…I will learn math before starting a new empire, Celia.” She said with a slightly embarrassed tone.

Celia: “With your high intelligence Stat, you can learn everything pretty quickly. I’ll teach you later, okay?” I propose.

June: “Thank you, I would appreciate it greatly.” She said with a smile.

The main draw of that Stat, isn’t how smart it makes you. In fact, if you have a tendency to be silly or stupid, then you will still be like that, regardless of how high your Int is. I do find it somewhat funny that June doesn’t know math, but as a teacher, I know that making fun of her would be a horrible thing to do.

Look, you don’t become a very loved ruler of the apocalypse if you weren’t a good leader. Most of them… they were my students. Though the wound is very old, I do still feel bad that, in the end, I couldn’t protect them. But that is… literally thousands of years in the past and isn’t something that I should feel grief about nowadays.

June: “So… what will that crystal actually do? With how shocked you were… it can’t be that impressive, right?” She nervously asked.

Celia: “How much EXP do you need to level up?” I ask in reply.

June: “Hm… 11,995. So just one of them should give me a few levels up.” She answered quickly.

Celia: “A few levels up? Girl, we will probably get investigated again after this…” I reply with a sigh.

June: “Investigated?” She repeated with a confused tone.

Celia: “Someone in charge of overseeing the game came to visit us while you were evolving. She accused us of cheating.” I replied.

June: “Huh!? How did you get away?…” She asked with a shocked expression.

Celia: “She gave up and brought her superior to handle the case. Who I then seduced and made my final wife. It was lucky, as Maralia ended up being destined for me.” I explained with a nonchalant tone.

June: “…”

Like she didn’t believe me, June just stared into my eyes for a bit. Once she realized that I was fully telling her the truth, she did a double take, and then started to look up at the sky. Um… hello? We need to do some Hell Spider culling; you know? Not to mention, but if my seduction is enough to shock you, what will happen when I tell you our soon-to-be EXP gain?…
