Custom monster system

Quite a few people showed a considerable amount of concern when Alex arrived at astera still covered in wounds and broken scales. If he wasn't carrying the corpse of what was clearly an elder dragon of some sort they would have been very worried since they all knew well how strong Alex was. Seeing that Alex had come out on top of this fight relieved some of the tension they felt at seeing his injured state though. While the scholars were eager to study the corpse of this unknown elder dragon they had the good sense to at least ask politely this time since in his injured state they weren't sure Alex would suffer their pestering for very long.-

This was a personality trait they had discovered about him thanks to Roya's tireless research on him. If Alex was injured his patience reached all time lows and he became quick to anger.  While this was not a very good trait to have for a large and extremely powerful monster it was a fairly common one amongst people as well making it easy to deal with. The solution was simply not doing something that you knew pissed him off when he was injured.-

Alex might have been a bit prickly at the moment but he still had his reason about him and agreed to letting the scholars do their research so long as they don't ruin the meat. Even if he wanted to gain whatever traits he could from the elders corpse Alex knew that whatever the scholars turned up with their study would help both him and other hunters should they come across another member of the species. The admiral and commander both showed up right after Alex gave his agreement with the scholars with serious expressions.-

"What happened?" the commander asked with a concerned expression as he eyed the wounds on Alex. 'That thing ambushed me while I was flying above the wildspire wasteland , we fought , I killed it and came back here.' Alex summarized honestly. "From the looks of it the big guy really did a number on you in the process , must have been pretty strong to do all that." the admiral said with a tone of appreciation as he looked at all the damage on the surface of Alex's body. 'In terms of pure strength I'd say that thing was between nergigante and the rezzar from the hollow forest.' alex said honestly.-

'If I didn't have an adaptation for healing much faster than normal these wounds would look a lot worse.' Alex said as he flinched slightly at one of the medics cleaning a wound. Normally Alex would have just gone for a swim in the sea to clean his wounds but since he had gotten them in a literal desert they had stubborn sand all throughout them. Besides causing him unnecessary amounts of pain going into the sea wouldn't accomplish anything so here he was. The worse part had to be the intense stinging that came from the medics washing out the wounds with what was basically pure alcohol.-

Alex had learned the hard way that his healing ability was greatly hampered by the presence of anything foreign in his wounds. While it was true that his body would eventually reject anything foreign out of him it was still best to clean the wounds out thoroughly. "Hahaha , well at least you got some nifty scars from the experience , women love those!" The admiral said jovially. Alex and the commander merely rolled their eyes at the man's words since despite being sixty eight the man still acted like a teenager.-

Strangely enough the admiral was actually right about the things that attract females in most cases , but due to his more savage personality he had remained single for his entire life. Finding women who actually wanted to fight their partners more than get treated sweetly was extremely hard even in the old world so the admiral was basically a hopeless case. None of this applied to Alex however since he was stuck in the awkward position of not being interested in female monsters while also knowing that if he even tried to sleep with a human woman he would split them in half at best and burst them like a overfilled balloon at worst , neither were particularly fun to think about.
